Woohoo, lego! Im a bit weird in that i enjoy putting flat packs together but i also like fiddly things so this is right up my street!Id call this a medium sized kit, not that i have any lego kit experience (except that like most people my age i want a millenium falcon....). It comes in a couple of bags and the instructions for each bag are separate so you make this in two parts. As i didnt look at the box before i started i thought it was two vehicles, oops. There are a whole lot of small parts in this so id recommend tipping the parts out onto a tray especially if you have pets/small children/a messy house/the ability to loose things while you are looking at them (like me).I tried to make an airfix kit once without the tray. Somewhere in my house there is a red arrows wheel support strut, no idea where. lesson learnt.Looking at the recommended age range id think that the younger end of the range will struggle making this without some older help unless they are old hands at lego. I think it would also keep someone older happy for a while too, im in my 40's and it kept me quiet for ages!I like the fact you get the two figures and loads of light sabres, im passing the kit onto my 8 year old nephew now and im sure he will get loads of use out of it (i will pass it on assembled as hes not really a lego guy, he can take it apart and remake it if he wants to but he gets his dad to make things and he likes the finished article!)Like all lego its well made, lots of fun, will keep lego fans quiet, has playability beyond making it (it fires red sticks/laser beams), is detailed and gorgeous to look at and could be used with any other lego to make whatever you can imagine!

This call back to an older era of LEGO Star Wars is welcome amid the influx of new sets based around the new films. Providing an excellent way to pick up not only General Grievous, but Mace Windu in his non-cartoon form, this set more than makes up for the small amount of figures that it comes with. The set itself is a little bigger than its on screen counterpart, though, despite its size, the build is quick with only a few sought after pieces. The overall product does not quite feel satisfying for the full price and the piece to price ratio makes it seem as though LEGO is charging exorbitantly for what amounts to little more than a battlepack. Despite the nostalgic feel building this Clone Wars set,I'd advise only picking this up on a steep sale. In years past this set would have fallen into the now defunct £20 and its only just worth buying at that price. At £26, it would be best to wait till it drops. This would have been awarded 3 stars but for Clone Wars nostalgia alone I've given it a 4th.

This is a small but pretty impressive Star Wars set, featuring characters from the recent prequel films, and a vehicle from the Clone Wars animated series. The ship has a decent level of detail but can be built in under an hour; children at the lower end of the age range will probably need a bit of adult help. The ship has spring loaded shooters so you can do a lot of imaginative play/battling. You also get Mace and General Greivous figures - the latter has four arms and four lightsabers, so you get five lightsabers in total with this set which is pretty cool! As usual with LEGO everything is well made and works as it should.Overall, a little pricey perhaps for the size of the vehicle, but the two figures and five lightsabers add value and this will give hours of fun.

If you have followed the Star Wars prequels then you will recognise General Grevious. One of the best parts of Revenge of the Sith was sheer amount of lightsaber usage. This set will not let you down, Grevious has four arms and four lightsabers. For some younger fans who have seen the Clone Wars series, then Grevious gets more of a role in there. The speeder is obviously the main feature of this Lego set and it looks really good when you compare it to the live version in the film. Grevious gets a firm set on the top and can make any manoeuvres as he speeds into battle. There are two blasters underneath which can help clear the way before he comes to a stop.

The speeder appears only in Star Wars: The Clone Wars the animated series. Though General Grievous and Mace Windu both appeared in the Prequel Star Wars films. It's a bit larger here than it was depicted in the animation. Mace Windu comes with a light saber, General Grievous comes with 4 lightsabers for his 4 arms (which can be stored under the speeder). The speeder features two laser canons on the front of the ship, and two recessed rocket launchers. The rockets use springs so you can fire them. The set comes with decal stickers and a easy-to-follow instruction booklet. Overall a nice set that is worth it for the fantastic General Grievous mini figure.

My son is a massive Lego fan in combination with being a Star Wars/Marvel/DC nerd. The set contains General Grievous and Mace Windu plus the speeder ship.My son is pleased with the set as he says the speeder is quite accurate. It has 2 shooters and it has a little clips underneath the ship to hold the General's 4 lightsabres. This is fantastic to store the lightsabres to save their loss and if he is moving the ship on the floor, the lightsabres are safe. He tells me the older set he has didn't have this capacity and he'll know!Value wise, it was good for the money. As we all know Lego isn't cheap, but is usually worthwhile and, Zed says this one is!

This was assembled by my eight year old grandson and he did need some help. Even with that it took a while but once built it was quickly absorbed into his super hero games especially as there are two figures included as part of this set.I have my usual issue with this sort of set which is that unless you keep it separate it soon becomes absorbed into the general lego collection and parts get lost so that the set cannot be built again - on the other hand, the pieces are reused in lots of innovative ways. And, on another hand, the kid loves it !

It's nice to see Lego bring back Mace Windu and General Grievous, as they are sought after minifigures. The combat speeder is a nice addition and looks very nice. Considering you get two iconic Star Wars characters is a bonus. The actual build is pretty straight forward and the Speeder has some nice details. I can see this going down well with Lego Star Wars fans. Looks great and you get two great minifigures.

Little un loves it, lots of bits to play with, thing 'shoots missiles' , what's not to like. Some of the bits are a little on the small side so help (adult) will be needed to construct but that's fun, and a learning experience for the adult! Nothing too difficult if you have been pulled into the world of Lego Star Wars before. Overall a high quality Lego toy, course it is a little pricy but.....

A fabulous 40 mins or so building this kit with my daughter. All the usual lego quality and star wars goodness. The general grievous figure is fantastic, and the speeder is pretty good too, but that was quickly disassembled and modified as my daughter unleashed her creativity. Her view was that this was the best set she has built in ages because it has so many lightsabers in it!

Another fine product from Lego, though perhaps a little less substantial than others in the Star Wars series. The boy has long preferred the little action figures to the actual construction of vehicles, but this time he was quite taken with the precision of the design and the concentration needed to assemble the device. Nice work all around.

Star Wars Lego is never cheap. Even the small sets are £25 and are often a bit disappointing. This is a great set with two great characters. Grevious and Mace Windu are stand out characters from Clone Wars and Episode 3 and make good Lego figures. The speeder is 25cm long and looks good when made Grevious looks super cool driving it.

This set is worth it alone to pick up Gen Grievous, but it's also a good fun model to build, with the speeder being built in different sections. The colours of the speeder aren't particularly engaging (and I'm not keen on the stickers - I preferred the pre-printed panels of old), but the energy bolts add a bit of fun!

I bought this for a Christmas present and it was very nice! The packaging was good and it arrived quickly! The ship is quite small but is very good for anyone who loves Lego and Star Wars! Would recommend!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my nephew who loved it. He's 5 and built it easily with minimal assistance from his father. A little on the pricy side but seems all Lego is.
