My 11-year-old son really enjoyed building this set. Although it looks quite boring from the picture on the box, it turns out that the walker really does walk. There is a sturdy section in the middle with four wheels on it, then it is surrounded by 8 moving legs, and when you move it the effect is like a scuttling spider. Of course, this means building 8 separate legs, but there were no complaints from my son and apparently there are subtle differences between the legs so he didn't just build the same thing 8 times. He did say that this is quite a challenging build because of the moving parts, but he also said that there was a greater sense of achievement after having built it.The walker can shoot arrows/missiles,which travel quite far, and the lid lifts up to reveal seating for two mini figures. The set comes with 4 mini figures, although of course we don't know who they are until we watch the film (I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the walker in the film!)

Aimed at ages 9-14, with 554 pieces and four figures (General Hux, a Gunner, a Resistance Trooper and a First Order Flametrooper), this is a Star Wars Heavy Scout Walker. The vehicle has wheels, which allow it to move forwards and backwards. When you roll the vehicles, the legs move, so it looks as though it is walking.Like all Lego sets, the instructions are easy to follow. My son is thirteen and he made the set in around three quarters of an hour. However, as well as the fun you can have building this, it has a lot of play value. You can fit two figures in the hatch, at the top of the vehicle; although it is a tight fit. You can also shoot the blasters at the side and store the missiles at the back, where they can clip in so they don’t get lost. With its crab like motion, figures and firing action, this is a great set.

The First Order Heavy Scout is a nice addition to the Last Jedi Lego sets. It has four mini-figures which include General Hux, which in my opinion is pretty rare mini-figure.The build itself is relatively easy and once built it has wheels which then make the legs move so looks pretty awesome when you are playing with it. It has some nice details to it and the cockpit is a nice touch. All these sets are geared towards the new movie out this Christmas. I think this set could have added an extra mini-figure, but that is a minor gripe. The Lego sets are geared for several Star Wars fan, this set has General Hux, which you wont find in any other set I know of, so that adds extra value to it.Overall,a great set and definitely as must buy for Star Wars fans.

A good set of star wars Lego , only took a couple of hours to build , instructions were alright but a little confusing at times , 554 pieces in total , its a very odd looking star wars Lego machine but its built well once constructed and is easy playable after construction , your child should get hours of play with it ... my son does , its not very big which is good and doesn't wobble or topple over when being played with , my son's very happy with it .yes i can highly recommend it but only given it 4 stars due to it being a bit tricky to build and instructions not being very clear but apart from that its a good Lego set for any star wars fans .

A big investment piece for your Lego Star Wars Collection, this First Order Heavy Scout Walker is one for the more experienced constructor. The two level walker has legs that appear to move it along as you push it (in fact it is on wheels). The top opens up so you can put figures inside - 4 regular size Lego men are provided with this set including General Hux. With multi shooters and moving parts the set gives lots of play potential (though we are still nostalgic about the olden days when Lego bricks were made and remade according to your own design rather than being so end-specific with so many specialised pieces!)

I must admit I don't remember seeing this new version of the Scout Walker in the film but nevertheless it's Ann impressive model, set on hidden wheels so it can be pushed along with the 'legs' move as if it's walking. The build is relatively straightforward for children aged around 8 or above, although building the four sets of legs is slightly repetitive and my kids got a bit bored, meaning I had to finish that part for them.

I acquired this prior to the release of The Last Jedi - it's clearly an update to the original scout walker and a fun, straightforward articulated build. However, having seen the film once at the cinema, this vehicle doesn't seem to have made it to the final movie, with the larger updated ATAT featuring alongside a more familiar bipedal scout walker?

My 7 year old grandson had this for Christmas, and despite the 9 - 14 year old guidance on the box, he completed it on Christmas afternoon. It is a great set with intricate moving parts for a Lego fanatic.

This was bought for my 9 yr old for Christmas and he couldn't wait to put it together. It was easy for him to follow the instruction but challenging enough that it took him a couple of hours.

the product was very nice!It was fun but repetitive to build. IT arrived very late - just before Christmas so I was panicking ...It's as big as it looks and it's definitely overpriced.

External packaging alone was damaged, which was why the price was reduced, so it was a bargain! My son loves it, it looks great. One of the best Lego constructions I've seen ?

Great set but damaged box and ridiculous price but if you are as obsessed with Lego as me well.. you will buy it anyway

Bought as a present for my oldest lad, who is a big Lego fan. He built it himself and is really pleased with it.

My son enjoyed building this model and is thrilled about the moveable parts and figurines
