I have bought quite a few of the Juniors sets over the last couple of years but this is the first suitcase style set that we have played with and I really love that in addition to a decent sized Juniors set that your child also gets a handy carry and storage case which fits much more Lego inside than the Lego included and so the case is great for storing a fair bit of Lego.Size:-The case itself measures 22cm wide by 28cm long by 6cm deep to give you a rough idea of its size and I have measured the outside body of the case not including the handle.Although this is a Lego Juniors set it is also a Lego Friends set and the older Friends sets are usually aimed at girls aged over 6years old but ifyou have a little Lego mad girl like I do then you will probably already be familiar with the Friends range anyway. It is clear that Lego is opening up the older Friends range to younger perhaps less skilled Lego builders by bringing these Juniors sets out and I have already bought I think 4 of the Juniors Friends sets in the last year for my Daughter as well as the older sets too. Yes these sets are predominantly pink and pastel colours but my Son more than happily plays with this Lego with my Daughter and she equally likes his Ninjago and 'boy' style sets too so I don't think it should matter if the set is pastel and pink coloured or not.Age Suitability:-This set is aimed at children between 4 and 7 years old and it has been nicely designed for younger builders.Build Bags etc:-This set has one instruction booklet with easy to follow step by step instructions and two build bags. The case also includes some spacers so that they can be popped inside the grooves of the case so that your child can have sections for specific Lego if they wish and I think this was a nice extra thought rather than just having all of the Lego rattling and mixing together inside.Figures:-The set comes with a Mia figure and also a foal and lamb.Parts:-The set allows your child to build Mia's pickup truck, a stable for the foal and a small pen for the lamb.Features:-The set comes with some small nice parts such as a bottle to feed the lamb, pitchfork, carrot, apple, hay bales, brush to brush the lamb and foal and a shovel. Any of the decorated Lego pieces are pre-printed rather than being stickers to apply and this makes the set that little bit easier for younger builders. This is a lovely set and my Daughter absolutely loves it and that she has a little carry case to store her Lego from this set and some of her other sets too. I really like that Lego has started to make more Juniors sets for younger builders and expand the likes of Friends and Ninjago into Juniors sets too.Difference Between Juniors Sets & Standard Sets:-The only difference between the Juniors sets and the standard sets is that the Juniors sets include more pre-built larger pieces such as rather than your child build a wall fully with maybe 20 or so bricks, the Juniors sets will have one big piece. They also tend to come with pre-printed bricks rather than a separate sticker sheet and this means no fiddly sticker adhesion for your child and no upset child if like my children they want to have put the stickers on straight and get upset if they can't manage it.I can confirm that the Juniors Lego is fully compatible with the standard sized Lego as in they have the same size studs and holes to connect to each other which means that even when your child progresses fully onto the standard size sets that they can still re-use and connect their Junior pieces. Duplo sets are not the same size and are intended for really young builders.

✤ LEGO JUNIORS✤ LEGO FRIENDS✤ 10746 ‘EASY TO BUILD’✤ MIA'S FARM IN A SUITCASE SETAGE GUIDE on the box : '4-7'From the base of the cardboard overlay:? ITEM 6175622 ~ ‘Components made in DENMARK, HUNGARY, MEXICO, CHINA and the CZECH REPUBLIC. Manufactured by The LEGO GROUP, DENMARK © 2017’Exactly as currently pictured in the stock images above, this colourful set arrives in a neat suitcase style container with a cardboard overlay. There is a little seal at the top that needs cutting to get the overlay off and the case is similarly sealed on both sides inside. In two shades of RED, with YELLOW opening clips x 2,the rigid plastic-type suitcase measures around 27.5 cm x 25.5 cm x 5.75 cm overall allowing for the ‘feet’ and handle.LEGO ® is embossed on the front. The clips are a little hard to open for smaller fingers and care needs to be taken when clipping them back shut, in my experience.Inside the suitcase is the usual clearly laid out, step-by-step instruction booklet and two sealed bags of LEGO, clearly numbered 1 & 2 with the relevant pieces within each.In this set, animal lover Mia is kept busy on the farm with a little lamb to feed in its pen & ‘Dolly the foal’ to look after in the stable, with a wheelbarrow and a little farm vehicle to help get the hay bales in.Some patience is required in some areas of the construction phase, especially for some of the smaller pieces, which may dictate within the above age guide span, taking into account the level of exposure to LEGO in general, but it is a lovely little set.Once made it has endless opportunities in play value both as a standalone set or with others from the range, IMO.As a guide to size, pretty, freckle-faced MIA is just under 5 cm tall, allowing for the height of her ponytail. She wears denim dungarees and wellies, can stand & sit, turn her head and hold the various accessories in either or both hand/s.DOLLY the foal is around 3.5 cm tall and the LAMB around 2 cm tall. The LAMB’S dinky little PEN has a 3 cm square base and stands around 4 cm high. The size of the STABLE is approximately 9 cm at the highest point x 9.5 cm wide x 10 cm, with neat, hinged stable doors with her name on one, her rosettes on another. The VEHICLE is around 9 cm long allowing for the curved front bumper x 5 cm wide allowing for the chunky tyres. It stands around 5 cm high (max) allowing for the curved frame at the top of the windscreen. At the end of build, are half a dozen little pieces left as spares (foreground of last image) and the suitcase set also handily comes with some RED plastic dividers to compartmentalize the suitcase (2nd last image). This is a nice extra touch and it could be used to carry special bits ‘n’ bobs around generally (maybe not even Lego, in due course).[20 images attached]

This is a simplistic "farm" scene stable and sheep pen, for children aged 4-7 years.Primarily, it has clearly been created to be gender specific with it's pink packaging and farm girl wearing make up, to pink roof's on the stable and sheep pen, as well as the blue and lilac car, so making it most appealing to girls. I agree with another reviewer that this is unnecessary and this could be a gender neutral set. A figure with interchangeable head to be a girl or boy would also work and neutral colour roof for the pen and stable. Lego is enjoyable and fun for all and doesn't need to be gender specific. The set comprises of 100 pieces, including a wheelbarrow, horse, sheep, milk feeding bottle, corrot, garden tools, and pieces to make up the stable, pen and car among other little additions. The carry case, is thankfully, a neutral colour being red with yellow clasps. The carry case has plenty of room for this set and others, if your child wanted to use it for other Lego sets/bricks to add to the set. The case is made of a tough plastic, with clip down clasps to open and close. It is pretty sturdy and will be durable, as long as it isn't getting thrown about.Comes with instructions for the build and can be followed by a child easily, although a 4 year old may still need some guidance.A lovely little set, but please Lego, stop making gender specific sets, Lego is for everyone.

Now, I'm biting my tongue because I think already enough's been said about lego's gender stereotyping. Ironically they probably won't sell as many units of this because of the "pinkification". I think it's about time lego stopped telling boys and girls which lego to buy, and that's all I'll say about that. This is basically a new "suitcase" lego, the previous ones were...a fire helicopter, and I think..wasn't there a police thing? The suitcases are great for storing lego in but make sure when you buy it - wherever you buy it - that the yellow clips seen in the photo are present. They are known to disappear in transport or in shops, and without them the case cannot be held shut meaning you have to resort to sellotape.Decent selection of pieces and the movable dividers are great.Colours are too pink/pastel but I mentioned that. Surprised they haven't made the case pink too. The colours do seem a bit of a hotch potch to me, the fire one was very well themed and had a real emphasis on "red" which was good.Overall, well, unless you have a budding farmer to be, I'd just get the fire one to be honest. Girl or boy, it's a better set :)

The 4-7 Lego Juniors range is perfect for children new to Lego, and this kit is no exception. It took my 6 and 3 year olds about an hour to build everything between them, but the product held their attention while building it and even my 3 year old was able to do bits and pieces with support from his older sister. The car and figurines continue to be well played with, but the other smaller pieces are a bit fiddlier and after the first couple of games, were broken apart / discarded / disregarded. It doesn't feel that much like a whole coherent set unless you stick everything down on a baseplate... though this may be more my children and their concentration spans, so I've only taken one star off for that!I am not so keen on the Lego Friends "Barbie"-esque type figurine either, especially as it means it doesn't fit that well with other Lego kits and is quite shapely/gendered unlike the usual minifigures. However, overall this is a lovely product and the smaller pieces also fit into the red carry case when they have been built (and hold other bits and pieces of lego too).

This is a fantastic set for any young lego mad animal lover! It is absolutely ideal for my five year old who has been able to make his set with some help from me in terms of encouragement in following the instructions. This set comes in a sturdy plastic carry case which obviously gives it extra portability - handy for trips to grandma and grandad... The case has plenty of space in it.The lego itself is fun to build and is just a bit easier as lego junior than some sets. The set comes with a person as well as the foal and the lamb. I like the small touches such as having a bottle for the lamb, the pitchfork and hay etc.It makes it not just a construction set but also a set that will actually be played with and encourage imaginative games.Would highly recommend.

As is usual with Lego, this is a quality product. Bright and colourful, and just the right size for little hands. The instructions were very easy to follow and our youngest daughter, who has just turned seven, was able to put this together entirely by herself in about 10 minutes or so. There is enough included in this set for it to stand alone without other Lego sets and provide hours of fun. My kids love Lego and this is no exception.

Great set from Lego, got this for a friend's son (I'm sure Mia wouldn't mind, you can't get all boy / girl with a farm... can you?). Neat case to pack all that dangerous 'parent foot shrapnel' away when plays done and the usual Lego quality.

Bought this for my 3 year old grandchild for Xmas. She was very pleased with it. Her first Lego. Needs some help to build at the moment but sure it will be popular. Great having the case so she take it around with her.

This is a fun set to build and play with. The suitcase makes a convenient storage box and helps to keep all the pieces together when they're not out and in use. This was well thought out and designed. Good work LEGO.

My 4 yr old was very pleased with this set. Lovely set. I helped to make the scene and once it was made she could take a small piece of it apart to store back in the box.

Bought this for a Christmas present for my granddaughter, so all I can say is it's very well presented, arrived early, I'm sure she's going to love it.

Bought for a 5 year old, loved it, quite a lot of Lego for the price and it comes with a hard carry case which will hold more which is very handy!

5.9.2017

Hours of fun, building and then playing. Handy carry case to take away with you, wherever you go. It's also handy for other lego to keep together.
