My 4 year old daughter has absolutely loved this, her first experience of "proper" Lego having previously played more with Duplo.Lego Juniors is aimed at 4-7 year olds with proper Lego pieces, but relatively easy building instructions. In fairness they are not that easy (I will come to one moan there in a sec) but as for all Lego the idea is to follow the instructions the first few times, but eventually it will all end up in the big Lego box with all the other kits. The most important thing to be aware of… this is proper size Lego, not a funny big piece kit for smaller children, so it can be kept for a long time. For my 4 year old, I obviously had to help her a lot but she really enjoyed following the instructions. There's three bags of lego pieces initially (obviously it will all end up in a big box) and instructions are a bit like Ikea kit - at each stage it tells you what pieces to get (the images are in colour so my daughter enjoyed finding the bits from the big pile) and you then follow instructions for where it goes. What was produced was not that special in my mind, but she's happy so I am.I do have one grumble though - why bother having 3 bags of Lego with instructions of which stage goes with which bag, when you know full well after one day of playtime, it's all going to end up in one box.One other nice thing here, the box itself looks like a big Lego brick so there's something to store it all in afterwards.

A good quality product as you'd expect from lego. Well packaged and presented, instruction book is simple and clear. This is a nice little girly set either to start with or add onto existing lego collections. The size of the parts are what I consider regular lego, so I'm not sure as to why this is classified under what appears to be a new category of 'juniors' but this could be due to the lesser complexity of the build items. Some of the parts are quite small and fiddly but then I think it only adds to the detail which is great. There are as always extra parts provided so you don't miss out on anything.Personally, i find the size of the storage box quite misleading, lego seem to make these quite large to add appeal because I always find that when we finish building, the end items are usually disappointingly small. The box provided is quite large, my daughter has about 3 of this style lego set and I am sure we could combine all 3 contents into one storage box easily. However this is just a personal criticism and doesn't detract from the excellent product within.I think the recommended retail price of this item of £24.99 is a little high, I think around £20 or less is more acceptable but would make a nice gift for any creative, lego loving child.

Thus the mighty Lego think tank strikes gold once more. The Juniors range is an ideal step up from either Duplo sets or the most basic block kits. It lacks the complexity of the full Lego Friends sets yet retains all of the appeal. My five year old still required full support with the building, aiding fine motor skills. My seven year old completed her set unaided (a separate, yet similar review). They both have a fair amount of Lego and it's great to see these designs are very original in their design, down to the new design of interlocking base-plates. Still plenty of Lego Friends fiddly accessories, so definitely keep clear of babies and toddlers.Should your children want to destroy and start over, these sets come with a Rebuild set of instructions for making something else from the blocks. Nothing too new for existing fans, however this is presented in a more user friendly way than in previous kits.Lastly, the box the set comes in (a large Lego brick) is a great storage box. Worth the price (almost) alone! The Pony Farm storage box is twice the size of the Princess Play Castle box, making it an essential box for keeping your Lego in. Great new idea from the Lego team. Multiple boxes do not lock together though.

Comes in a quirky pink plastic lego shaped tub which in itself is a good storage solution for other lego pieces. This sets comes with lego to build a stable frontage two horse jumps a horse and one rider.Aimed at the younger lego builder the instructions follow the same format as more complex lego, a step by step guide building each section with full page illustration showing what pieces are needed for that section. The steps are basic and easy, for instance to build the horse required adding two brown lego pieces to fill the whole in its back saddle area. The building is just a frontage so you don't have the complexities of a four sided building to deal with,so I would agree that mom or dads help should not be needed. My 7 year old started following the instructions then decided to discard in favour of a freestyle build so I haven't seen the finished build and cant comment about how easy the instructions were to follow beyond half way through. The picket fencing for the frontage is being used as extra horse jumps.Good price point under nineteen pounds seems reasonable to me.

Road-tested by my 7 and 9-year old daughters, both horse mad. There was great delight upon opening the box, and the older girl was soon poring over the instructions and issuing orders - sorry, polite requests - to the younger. It kept them occupied for an hour or so in construction and roleplay with the assembled equine goodies, but they said they would come back to it again to make up something different. It seemed closer in nature to Playmobil than my memories of Lego from childhood, but apparently I'm behind the times, and these pre-shaped lego sets are the in thing now. The lego pieces are all massively childproof and the storage box is great (although as shockingly pink as it looks in the picture!).When I asked for a verdict for the purposes of this review,I got two smiles and two 'thumbs up' signs. The kids have spoken!

The new Lego junior Lego sets contain some larger pieces to help younger children build on their own, to bridge the gap from Duplo to Lego. My 7-year-old daughter has been playing with Lego for years, but invariably she'll put things the wrong way round or miss bricks. With the Lego junior set she has not asked for help once, she managed everything by herself. This set is quite fun and contains lots of different things to play with. My daughter loved the Lego woman riding the horse (or pony, as they named it Pony Farm). The box is also really useful for storage. It would be worth getting this set as an introduction to Lego from Duplo - the junior set really does make it easier, and would probably be less discouraging to those children who feel that Lego is much harder than Duplo.

This was purchased for my 4 year old daughter and is her fist big lego set. She loved it! The Box is PINK like really pink but boy was that a good start. The lego itself is fairly easy to do and with a little prompting (like I said she was only 4 and it was her first big set)she managed to make it. Hours of fun then followed playing with the pony and making story's about feeding it and looking after the poorly horse. After a week however like all good lego sets it was demolished and now ranges between a princess palace and a farm. There are a range of big pieces which make this easy for her to do and allows her to have a big ish project fast, showing off a bit quicker. The storage box is all plastic unlike some of them that are half cardboard and this is an added bonus.

This has been a big hit with our granddaughter and her father. She is five and needed a bit of help with the instructions but between them, they eventually managed to get it all assembled. The large brick is ideal for storing all the pink bricks, from this set and others. There are a few different and interesting pieces perhaps not found in other sets eg brushes, chain, bucket, cup etc. there is also a handy brick separator, that I've never seen before, for those odd bricks you or those little fingers just can't get apart. All in all, a good set with lots of pieces that needs patience and concentration to assemble. A great way to encourage both traits

This is a terrific little set that is comprised of regular small Lego bricks but is fairly simple. It is intended to bridge the gap between Duplo and fully fledged Lego. It does this successfully. It is a lovely little set for girls of a certain age who are horse mad. It is realistically priced. The instructions are concise and clear - although for a five year old some help was required. It has a decent longevity too as there are additional bricks to break down and rebuild slightly different models. It is also packed in a sturdy pink plastic box which tops off a nice little package.

This is great little Lego set in very cute plastic box... It is suggested for ages 4-7 but both of my daughters 3 & 9 love it. It is easy to built for the little one but still attractive enough to the older one as well.Inside are packets of bricks and instructions to build and are laid out clearly, so my daughter was able to be involved in reading how the assembly works.A good quality product as you'd expect from lego. Well packaged and presented, instruction book is simple and clear. This is a nice little girly set either to start with or add onto existing lego collections.

This is a lovely product in lots of ways- the sets are clear and easy to make with some adult or older sibling supervision and are lovely to look at and play with. However, I do wish that LEGO would steer clear of the "pink thing which clearly marks this out as being specifically for girls. This is the case, as my older son was embarrassed to help my daughter make any of the sets as it was too "girly" That is my only gripe, as overall, it is lovely and my daughter has had hours of fun with it

Delightful set of lego I bought for my granddaughter. Lovely colours and the detail on some of the pieces is superb. Excellent quality as you would expect from Lego. The box is a great idea to keep all the bits in permanently , sturdy and pretty and a good size. I didnt realise you could get these different coloured sets, makes a lovely change from the usual colours.Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of buying a Lego set. Price wise the best deal I could find!!

A big hit in our family. This is the third set of pink Lego we've had and although none of my girls are that keen on horses they really enjoyed making the farm and then designing their own buildings. My husband also joined in and it kept them busy for well over an hour.I would recommend it for any children over the age of four, my ten year old enjoyed making the farm just as much as my six year old did!

Our daughter loves these sets, not only are they easy for her to build from the picture instructions but the storage box means she has at least one toy that gets packed away!! There are enough bricks that she can use her creativity to create something or just build and play with the kits. We'll be on the look out for more price drops on these as that makes them an even better investment

I love it and I ordered it for my niece's birthday but unfortunately it wasn't delivered to the resident despite what the tracking information says. Not happy because I can no longer order at the fab price of £17 so I have had to order something different. There was no-one at the address and it was not left in the safe place!
