I’ve seen all episodes of Friends multiple times and when I saw this was coming out, I simply had to get it. I’ve gone through phases of Lego - there’s photos that exist of me at Christmas with a Lego set and apart from with my boyfriend, I didn’t play with it much throughout my teens and twenties. I managed to get two sets that I remembered from my childhood but apart from those, I don’t have any.This set is really pretty and full of lots of little details (the Lego newspaper on the table or the umbrellas beside the door, for example). It took me two days to do, at a fairly chilled pace, although there were a few stressful moments. The instructions are fairly straightforward,in the 152 page super glossy booklet. I did skip over a couple of bits in error but working backwards was easy enough.Some pieces were more easier than others. The outer wall (behind the stage area where Phoebe would normally perform) stressed me out no end, and the amount of times I made silly errors or accidentally broke it, while trying to fix another bit on, was crazy. And this set isn’t without its errors - I was definitely missing a handful of pieces, that were quite vital to the smooth assembly. This wall was missing one of the hinged pieces, and a couple of other minor parts, which meant it was very slightly misaligned and doesn’t fit well together. (And is subsequently easy to knock out of place.) And each “section” comes with a numbered bag - these were only opened at the time of getting to the accompanying section, so they definitely couldn’t have gone walkabout. If your kids/partner have Lego sets upon Lego sets, then you may be able to steal some spare parts to blend into the set but since I didn’t, I had to make do. And I definitely don’t have any hinged pieces so that outer wall looks like a bit of a state now. You do have some extra pieces, but I found unnecessary things like extra coffee cups or flowers or just nonsensical pieces. Quality control could have been better in that aspect, particularly for the semi important pieces, such as hinges.The characters do suffer from a similar fate as their Funko counterparts - plop Joey/Chandler/Ross down in any other Lego set and you’d be hard pressed to know who they are. They each have some extra pieces, to make them identifiable and that can be immersed into the Central Perk scene:Joey has a pizza box and a pizza slice (I found an extra slice of pizza, so that went onto one of the tables);Chandler has a briefcase which folds out into his laptop and is initially a bit of a struggle to get him to hold it correctly;Rachel has a coffee cup and tray but due to the shortness of Lego arms, it means that the tray is consistently tilted, which isn’t a good look for a waitress;Phoebe has her guitar (and also a piano and a microphone are part of the set);Monica (which seems to have a “Fat Monica” outfit on) is “holding” a cupcake in the product image but there was no way of me getting her to hold the cupcake, unless I was missing something vital. The cupcake is bigger than her hands, so I’ve left it sitting on one of the tables. (There’s another one supplied as well.)Gunther is holding a broom.Ross ... well Ross is holding nothing. So clearly they ran out of ideas for him.Some of the parts aren’t fixable to the set itself, which were a bit disappointing. I had to stick these into the set with Blu tack, just so they don’t get lost. The piano and microphone are set up in front of a couch and have no appropriate fixing point on the floor. Chandler’s laptop looks mighty awkward attached to his hand the whole time, so I affixed this to the table in front of him. I also positioned Gunther’s broom at the edge of the set, since he doesn’t need to be carrying it around the whole time.Also, some of the characters, particularly Rachel and Chandler, have mighty grumpy facial expressions!The cost is pretty reasonable - it did make me baulk a little initially, but considering the cost of sets like

Two of my favourite features of this kit are the arc lights that remind you it is based on a real set and then the fact that there are so many pre-printed pieces instead of stickers. There are a few stickers (we don't talk about the mess I made of the Reserved one) but very few and this made for a much more pleasant building experience.I am sort of a F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan and have probably seen each episode several times and do regularly quote it. It hasn't worn particularly well but only because the world has moved on so much since the series started and it does feel really alien for there to be no mobile phones or social media.Still enjoy it though and when I saw this kit I thought it looked fun but it was not at the top of my "I Want" list.I am so glad I got it, this is a really detailed build. Most of the floor is built rather than being a traditional base plate and I loved the way the rugs are built and then slotted in, give a great finish and was a new building technique for me. Lots of details particularly around the serving counter and we even get a Gunther minifigure to serve the all important coffee and you can even build the espresso machine.The minifigures are easily recognisable as the particular character they represent which pleased me. Hard to get all 7 in the set once it's built but I managed after a bit of fiddling. Currently it is a temporary shelf which is a bit dark so you can't see it properly but when I get my new shelves it will look great.Also, quick shout out to the included booklet. Little biographies on each of characters and some information on the design team and the lucky Lego Fan who's idea it was. Clear building instructions and I only had to do a bit of deconstruction a couple of times because I hadn't counted spaces properly.Lots of play value with this one but even better as a decoration.Number Of Bricks: 1,070Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.06Build Time: 3.5 Hours

Whilst the world is going through difficult times at the moment, life has changed for many, and people are watching. re-runs of FRIENDS on Netflix, what could be better than to give yourself a little hobby.As a kid I loved lego, I loved the opportunity to build amazing little sets, although I always envied my best friend who had the entire pirates lego sets, that I wasn't allowed. Given that we've faced several lockdowns, various tier systems, I decided to start up with a hobby, and rejuvenate ny love of lego.I decided to start with getting this set. I love the show, and when I saw this was available I just had to get it. Could it be anymore fun to assemble? Assembly is easy,with clear piece by piece instructions, although I expect nothing less from Lego.The set is an incredible build, and considerably realistic to the original set. Each of the characters come with their own trademark items. Whilst I haven't got them yet, there are display cases and lighting sets available for this product, and something I am considering. Although the product alone is wonderful enough. I have purchased other sets which I have built or am in the process of building. I'm keeping my eye out for anything new that may peak my interest.Lego haven't failed to impress with this product, plenty of pieces left over too, but that happens with lego, there are always extra pieces in the event anything is lost or missing.Great set, if you're a FRIENDS fan, worth getting for a hobby, especially if you enjoy Lego.

This is a great set however my 12 year old built it in two hours. This is aimed at 16 year olds. Or is that just because it’s Friends? I’m confused by the Lego prices, age ranges and designs these days.My daughter wanted a cafe or bakery to actually play with and not sit on a shelf after making but I couldn’t find one (the Creator sets aren’t her thing and they’re basic and come with one croissant etc. That’s not a cafe/bakery). So settled for Friends as she liked the set up of it. But then where do you go with it? Years ago we just made stuff out of super basic bricks, and now there’s just endless sets to buy, (at great expense) build and then collect the others in a set.I don’t think children understand the concept of a Lego Destiny’s Bounty for £100 odd.Anyway waffling on but the Friends kit is worth the money - is it? A muffin and a tray and a cups of coffee? I think there are aspects that could make this work a lot better and I think Lego are taking the mick. We are being charged so much for so very little in all their kits. I recently made up a Golden Mech and that was truly crap. And what’s up with all the missing pieces? Got an advent calendar and no cape for Darth Vader???This is basically a rant about Lego and how a company who was so high can go so low.

This is a fabulous Lego set. Admittedly, the source material is amazing and being Friends' 25th anniversary has proved very popular.Along with the set, 7 minifigure are included, the main 6 characters from the show and Gunther. All the minifigures look great and are recognisable to their real life characters. They all have their own accessories that featured in the show which is great for any fan to reminisce.The set is quite large, measuring 30cm wide and 21cm deep. The detail included is exceptional and construction techniques are very intricate. Central Perk is such an iconic location and this set does it justice perfectly. Included is lots of little props such as Ross' electronic keyboard,a poster advertising Phoebe's next performance of Smelly Cat, the coffee machine behind the counter and the large couch.Most sets focus on either an interior or exterior but this set details both so the set is great for display purposes. Its a fabulous set for all friends fans and can be displayed as a general coffee shop if you aren't a fan.As well as a great build and display set, this set offers a trip down memory lane and is nostalgic for all Friends fans.Overall the perfect Lego set, highly recommended!

I love this set, I found it slightly challenging as I haven't done a set myself before only with my son, but I got this as a mindful set to do myself. I started it today. I've done the first section so far (There are two No1 Packets btw) and so far have all the pieces and it's looking good, can't wait to see it finished. If you are a FRIENDS fan, you should definitely get this, I really wondered if I should or not, but after receiving it (a day early I might add - Thank you!) I wondered why it took me so long! Definitely worth it, Why are you still here?!!! GoooooooOh! Also the instruction booklet has a section about each of the friends Character and a bit about the Lego designers,I love that kind of thing and it was such a cool surprise but If I'd of known I probably would of got the set sooner! now GOOoooooo

I bought this set for my sister after she had sat for hours watching me build numerous Harry Potter sets. this was the first one she found that she absolutely loved. as soon as it arrived she began piecing it together. it was her first attempt at lego, but she found herself efficiently clicking blocks into place within minutes. after four hours she finished the set, and found her self flushed with pride as she sat back and admired her work. it is such as a stunning set, as most are from lego, and the attention to detail is astonishing. it looks just like the set from the show and small details such as the coffee machine and the flowers add a level of depth which make using it as a display piece all the more satisfying.I highly recommend this set, and encourage all fans of both lego and f.r.i.e.n.d.s to buy it.

First of all, I have issues with the cost of Lego, and no matter what anyone says, you will NEVER convince me that ANY Lego set is value for money.Onto this set.Bought two as presents, one for my daughter and one for my partner for Christmas.The joy that Lego brings is incomparable, so for that reason only, this gets 4 stars from me. I knocked off one star as I think Lego has become massively overpriced over the last 20 years or so, in comparison to when I was a kid and you could buy sets with your pocket money.Regarding this set in particular, my (adult) daughter built hers in around 4 hours, just to give you an idea of how long it takes.My partner's is still in the box.

Not a massive Friends TV show fan, although I would watch it from time to time. I do love my LEGO though and had my eye on this set for a while. when I seen it on sale I decided to snap it up.The set itself looks fantastic, lots of great printed pieces, i think the keyboard print is unique perhaps? and of course the central perk window is unique. The figures are great also, look like the characters.Had fun building this over a couple of nights, you could do it in a couple of hours but i took my time. very enjoyable building experience and for 1000 pieces and 7 unique mini figures the price is fantastic also.

Bought this for my wife during Lockdown, as she is a massive Friends Fan. So won so many brownie points!!! LOL. She absolutely adores this Lego set, we both enjoyed a few hours putting this together and now need to get a display case for it, because as I say she absolutely loves it and has put photos on facebook and Instagram during the build. So worth the money, now she is hoping that Lego bring out Rachel and Monica's apartment, which would in my opinion be the other iconic stage scene from Friends. So Lego if you decide to bring that out, you would definately earn me to score more Brownie points LOL.

A huge fan of the TV series, the idea of having a Lego set the honour it was a dream come true. The RRP was a bit high to justify at first but nothing a cheeky christmas present request couldn't sort. The set is adult build; the ideas and building connections and various uses for bricks shows this isn't a kids set build an adult fam of Lego set. If I was to make a constructive criticism, it would be aimed at Lego for including various nods over the whole 10 series but only including minifigures based on the first series. A welcome product to inspire you to binge watch the show.

This is a really good lego kit. Bit expensive for what it is but I love friends so was very happy. I gave 4 * because of the build time which was about 3/4 hours altogether which was a little disappointing as I was hoping for a slightly longer build time.All in all it’s a great kit and if you like friends you’ll probably enjoy all aspects of it. I just need a display case now and will be set.Yes I would recommend this set just be prepared for a short build time.

For anyone who loves Lego and Friends this is the perfect sett.Great copy of the real thing with lots of details.Figures match really the characters well.Took longer to build than I thought it would, so think it reflects the cost of the product.The set is small for the amount of items in it, and a couple of the parts were quite fiddly to get in place with bigger fingers, so that was a little frustrating. However once they’re in it looks great!

The likeness is spot on, the instructions were easy to follow and the price was a bargain! Delivery, packaging, quality all faultless and its a must for any Friends fan. I used some cheap LED string lights for a bit of extra effect but its great without too. Didnt have any issues with missing pieces as stated in some reviews, in fact I found you get several spare bits. Really glad I treated myself to this, well worth it and looks awesome on display.

Absolutely fab lego set. Great value for money. Great detail. Key iconic pieces hidden in amongst or on characters appearance. Interchangeable music keyboard piece with ross or phoebe with guitar and microphone. Love this set. Such a good set for any friends fan. Reccommend buy for lego lovers. Roughly took 3 hours start to end to finish and build. Lego ideas thick book inside full of instructions and pages about the designers with facts.
