I got this LEGO set for my 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son to build and play with. They give it a 5-star rating.It took them 15-20 minutes to build which is good (you don't want the build to be too long as they get bored, and too short a build means there isn't a sense of accomplishment and makes it less of a LEGO toy and more of a normal toy). The set is designed as an easy-builder for 4-year-olds and up. My children did it relatively quickly between themselves. The hard thing for the 5-year-old was just making sure he was fitting the LEGO pieces onto the correct place as per the instructions. But in putting the pieces together it was easy enough and is something we take for granted with LEGO,that the pieces always connect well and are easy to connect whilst remaining securely in place.For an easy builder I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of pieces the set had. It had more than I expected given the picture on the back of the box showing just a few pieces to put together to make the juice truck. I took a photo of all the pieces laid out prior to our build and attached it to the review. The blurb says there are 103 pieces.The other thing that's good about the set is that it has no stickers. Stickers would have been hard to accurately stick for a 4-year-old (they're hard enough for me to do at 38). Instead the detailing of the pineapple, the wood, the front of the truck, the chalk board etc. is transfers onto the bricks, which is what I prefer.After building the finished set looks great. The juice truck has a VW Camper van look to it, looks colourful and summery. The set as a whole looks summery and like a beach scene that I would like to go to. The van has a seat to drive it, and a standing area for the LEGO figures to serve customers. There is also a till. As well as the truck there are lots of accessories to play with. You have two figures (Andrea and Emma), two dolphins, a surfboard, a camera, fruit, a 100-dollar cash piece, a fruit crate box, a sunbed under a palm tree, drinks, a bag - there is plenty to play with offering plenty of play value.My 9-year-old daughter says about the set: "It's really really really good. It's easy to build and there's lots to do with it. You can combine it with other LEGO sets using more LEGO people making it even more fun."5/5.

This is our first LEGO Friends set. Our six year old daughter is very much enjoying it. She has a similar themed Poly Pocket set, but this LEGO set is larger and more versatile.The pieces fit together easily, which also means they may also come apart during play.I like that the wheels move freely on the completed truck. The two characters included, Emma and Andrea, are articulated at the waist so they can sit on the lounger or behind the wheel of the truck.All the pieces are perfectly made and we like the designs. It is great that the decorations are all printed on. There are no stickers to be applied.I would recommend this as a set on its own and it is even more fun when you have more LEGO.There is an interactive app,but I do not feel it adds much to the experience of this set and I would rather children use their imagination as much as possible.

After my daughter seeing her cousin build lego over xmas she wated some ... then this came up. My daughter is 5 and this was perfect gift to her,she was determined to do it herself.The lego comes in 2 bags with a little bag inside of of the bags too and also is the car base and instructions. The instructions are gery easy to follow with step by step clear pics. My daughter managed to build it mostly alone very little help given. The vehicle is bright and colourful and very stirdy once bult but the lounger and tree is very annoying and kept breakung off. The dolphins made a great added extra. My daughter was very impressed with the little details of stars for the 2 people hair and sunglasses.This is a perfect first starter set and the beginning of our journey with lego i think!As expected everything is top quality bright and beautiful

This Lego Friend set is of the usual high quality standards that we have come to expect from the Lego company.This set contained 103 pieces upon arrival (I've lost one piece under the Fridge, don't ask!) and each piece is well made to the usual Lego standards.Lots of bold and bright coloured pieces, two characters provided. All you need to build a beach scene and a juice truck.This Lego Friend range is aimed at the 4+ year old demographic- and it shows by having somewhat easier/pre built pieces that are simple to recognise and integrate into a build.This is basically a stepping stone range between the Duplo sets and your normal Lego sets - or indeed a gateway to Lego for young newcomers to thebrand.It's a great set and children will have fun playing with it.I know I did.

Designed as a set for the new Lego generation (4+), this Juice Truck kit is very nice for the little ones to enjoy. The box doesn't suggest there's a huge amount of bricks or work involved, but with 100+ in the set overall, there's easily enough here to keep young minds entertained without making them put in hours of work (that could lead to becoming bored!).There will need to be some supervision to make sure the instructions are worked through, but the pieces are made well, and with the starter bricks, kids can get something done quickly to get a sense of fun and accomplishment, and then let their creative side go from there!The price point feels just about right,a few quid off would make it really good value.

Lady Lego lovers aged 4 + will enjoy this mobile juice bar which drives onto the beach where Andrea is sunbathing on her lounger under a palm tree. Two dolphins are playing in the waves. Andrea has a surfboard at the ready, also a camera in her beach bag. There's a crate of fruit to make the drinks for Emma to serve.The drinks mobile has a cash machine, luckily Andrea is ready to pay. The flip-down bar is fun, the juicers and glasses are all set up. Parked and ready to make a sale it all looks lovely.A sweet idea, this girly set up will engage and inspire imaginative play. Simple to build and robust to move about, This sunny summery set is enormous fun.

This is a nice small set, pretty easy to put together so I can definitely see this as 4 year old appropriate (with a little help from an adult or older sibling). In this case, put together within 30 minutes by 6 year old with no help.What's nice about this set is that it contains a dolphin and a baby dolphin which went down well!In terms of value for money though, I think the £18 price at time of review seems a bit on the steep side especially when many of the bigger sets are available for less (admittedly on offer). I do appreciate this is a new set, and if you are buying this for someone who has all the other sets then it is still a worthy purchase.

This set includes so much along with Andrea and Emma in their beachwear, you also get the Juice truck and accessories and the 2 Dolphins, Mummy and Baby.. My Granddaughter loves this and was thrilled with everything in the box. Juicer, Camera, cup, a fab sun lounger and surf board ensures hours of fun. She has enjoyed pretending to serve juices from the truck and pretending to take pictures with the camera. I would not give this to a child under four though due to the small pieces.

This set contains two bags of mostly tiny pieces. The box says it is for four years plus, but I think that is a little optimistic. My six year old needed plenty of help with it, especially getting the smallest parts pressed down into place. Having said that, this is a lovely set and we really enjoyed making it. The instruction booklet is all in pictures and easy to follow. When finished, it looks impressive and allows for a lot of imaginative play.

Bought this as a gift, have been building up our collection of Lego friends for my niece, she loves these, probably because of the cartoon she watches.Good solid construction, easy to follow instructions that she could follow even from a young age. She has moved on now and taken the van apart and made her own building or vehicle or whatever her imagination leads her to. Lego is good for that.

Bought for daughter on her 8th birthday.She followed all instructions independently and created it by herself, so i would say easy to assemble.It's great value for money as she loves to play with lego.The truck is still going strong and so shows signs of sturdiness which is great as it gets played with alot.Lovely design, nice bright colours and great for little girls who are into lego x

Great easy to follow instructions in pictures so my 4 year old preschooler could help. We built it in about 15 mins. Great design and concept that my son has played with the hours. Compact so easy to store and comes with two characters that he could move and make drive the truck, sit on the beach or make the juices. There are some tiny pieces so I would say kids must be 4 upwards to use.

My 5 yesr old niece found this Lego set fairly easy to put together kept her busy for hours even once built. She only needed help putting the small pieces together. She loves the bright colours and the dolphins. She says it's amazing. Instructions were very easy to follow and each step was easy to see which piece was needed to build. Fantastic quality.

My 6 year old loved building this. Great quality as usual from Lego and great price from Argos. The inclusion of two figures and animals always goes down well and the juice truck is good fun. It’s been built twice and deconstructed and made into a new creation too. Would recommend.

My 6 year old daughter loves Lego and it's no exception with this Juice truck set. She enjoyed building this and as with all of Lego sets, it comes with very clear step by step instructions. She didn't need my help, which implies that it is definitely suited for this age children.
