Bought for 4th Birthday gift. Had to fend off recipiants older siblings wanting to help build it. Birthday girl and I sat down and set about building the kit. The guide book is very clear, and each page adds just 1 to 5 pieces at a time. Easy to follow for an adult or anyone with previous lego build experience. This was Birthday girl's first lego, so we took it very slowly as she had never seen an instruction book before. She soon got the gist of what was needed from the pictures, and counting lego spots.The kit includes Olivia the small doll, plus a kitten, a tweety bird, lego butterflies and even lego ladybirds. The green branches of the tree move side to side, the ladder lifts up and down.There is a bowl for feeding the kitten and a fish to go in the bowl and a carton of milk with a tiny picture of a cow on it. Lots of blossom flowers to add to the tree or the garden.There is even a secret branch which when moved reveals a treasure box where two lego gem stones are stored. Thank goodness lego have now brought out kits for girls. We had girls lego in the 1970's with house furniture and cookers and sinks and so on, but they haven't for years had anything comparable for young ladies.This is the first of the Lego friends kits I have bought, and seeing how popular it was in a house of mixed age girls, it won't be the last. With several young female family member birthdays coming up, this year's gift buying difficulties are solvedas each has chosen a different set.My advice would be, adult supervision required (and what adult doesn't enjoy lego too?) for initial construction for 4-6 year olds not familiar with following instruction books. Older girls should not face too many problems with the kit by themselves. Reading skills not essential as the guide book is very well illustrated step by step.Don't be put off by the price. You do get a lot of useful lego pieces for the money, and lego is versatile and will last decades. We still have lego from my childhood and that is 40+ years ago. This new series includes sky blue,pink and purple lego which I personally haven't seen before.The doll is a lot bigger than regular lego people, they attach by holes in their shoes. However unlike regular lego people the legs do not move independently of each other. Doll either sits or stands both legs are one unit. The arms are separately moveable.Yes I would buy this kit again for a girl in a different family, and will be buying more of the series for the sisters of the Birthday girl that received this kit.I hope this review is of help to anyone thinking about buying Olivia's tree house set, as it is the first review.

I always thought lego was pretty unisex but this set has been a real success with the pink and purpleness.From start to finish I found it takes about an hour to put the set together without any adult help. The age range states 6-12 and today I've had a 7 and 11 year old put it together with ease (although the 11 year old Olivia professes this is too young for her and says don't buy this as a gift for 9+). The instructions are easy to follow and contain lots of new interesting pieces not commonly found in lego sets.The doll is excellent - a far cry from the clunky, old fashioned looking duplo dolls set of old. This is more tiny polly pocket with a modern edge. There are a few old holes e.g.in the hair, cat and duck which is presumably to stop the set being an immediate choking hazard if younger children get hold of it but it doesn't detract from the quality look of the set.The finished build is about palm high squared sized and there are lovely touches like a hidden jewel crate which a mini tree branch can fit over and a pivoting ladder.Very highly recommended. The boys like it too. Perhaps Lego is still unisex...

this is a really good set. was purchased after the cafe. really good value. theres a secret box with two gems inside. i am 10 years and i love this kind of stuff. its really bright and colourful. didnt take me very long to build it.well this is really good would reccomend this prouduct to anyone who loves lego and bright colours. very good value for money. it helps to develop building skills. as i said does not take very long to build this. (for me anyway) if you are looking for something that might take longer to build. the cafe might be a option for you. i did it really fast. a little on the exspensive side for what you actually get. but didnt bother me at all. i felt as if it was the best toy in the world.if you are just starting and are going to get this set i suggest you get another set to go with it.WHY? because as shown on the picture only comes with one figure (Oliva) and the cat and the bird. she needs someone to talk to just like we do sometimes. but very good. Would reccomend this product!!

This was a birthday present from a relation for my daughters birthday she loved it and could do it all by herself the pieces were the right size and colourful she had done it in about half an hour. We have been waiting for ages for girlie lego to come out as when she plays at other peoples houses its boys lego.We thought it was a bit expensive for what you got and need to buy a lot more of the lego friends sets for them to play with.Over all we thought it was good and would recommend it others.

This is one of the older Lego Friends sets that we have and this was originally brought out back in 2011 I believe but it is now discontinued. I got this out again this week for my daughter as it is one of the easier sets to build and she is under the recommended starting age of six and she managed to complete it with only a little bit of help in just under an hour. I see there are some crazy asking prices to buy this set new now but it originally cost twenty.The tree house goes brilliantly with

This was bought for a boy who also has other friends lego. Shame it's marketed for girls and not just everyone. My only gripe towards lego is the characters are obviously female whereas the male characters in 'boy's' lego are the original lego with no hint of the sex the characters are. Everyone loves lego, there is no need to differentiate between boys and girls. Great product though just stop the sexism.

My granddaughter loved it, although at 5 years old she needed help to put it together. Like all Lego there wasn't much in the box, and it feels like a bit of a rip-off, but the play value of "Friends" seems pretty fair. Unfortunately it then gets taken apart and all the pieces chucked in a large box with all the other Lego, so the prospect of it reappearing in this precise form is probably negligible.

My 7 year old granddaughter is really into lego friends and desperatly wanted the tree house for her birthday. After trying all the local toy shops I was having no luck as it seemed to be the toy every little girl wanted. Tried amazon and there it was. What a like saver !! When it arrived we were really pleased with it and now she can interact with it with all herother lego friends sets

My daughter has just taken an interest in Lego and after buying a mixed assortment we thought she'd like some 'girlie' Lego. We were right, she loves it! Her face on Christmas day was well worth the anxious wait of waiting for the postman to knock on the door!I would recommend this to anyone who's just starting out with Lego, she got to grips with the instructions in next to no time.

At last lego has designed lego for girls. This means my daughter can build this but also use her imagination and play with the figures.Lego has thought about the girls that will play with these toys, because they aren't the normal lego block figures but they are like small dolls. My daughter loves these and has "plans" to have as many as she can scheme and save for. Well done lego!

Excellent pruchase, my grand-daughter(10year old) was thrilled with her present, has spent many hours playing with it, would recommend this to anyone who has some patients to build the tree house. Very satisfied with delivery services and parcel arrived well packed. There was a number of sets available, and I have since bought another set for her. Many thanks for your interest.

My children enjoy this a lot - it is easy enough for them to make themselves when they concentrate but not too hard that they are put off. We also buy these in bulk as party presents and they get great feedback.I have not given it 5 stars as I think it's quite expensive for what it is but I can get it around the £15 mark which is better value than full price.

My daughter absolutely LOVES this. There were squeals of excitement when the postman knocked and they've hardly stopped since. Plays with this daily. I didn't even get chance to help her build it - she did all that herself. Very easy instructions to follow and apparently very easy to construct. Pocket money being saved to expand the empire.

This is loved by a little girl of 7 who already has some Lego Friends sets. She likes to keep all the sets in separate boxes partly constructed and then sets them all out like a village. She managed to construct this set herself without any help by following the instructions. All her Lego Friends sets provide hours of play.

My 8 year old step-daughter received this for Christmas. An excellent toy! Not too big but she loves it. She has been able to add on her other lego friends toys to it too. Has had many hours of play, lasted a lot longer than some of the more big expensive presents she received!
