My children aged 9 and 11 never tire of playing with Lego and Lego Friends are the most played with sets in our house - and this one has proven itself to be another set with loads of playability. This is the Friendship House, which is a converted fire station (how cool!) which you can see from the facia including a sliding garage door, the fireman's pole and the fire bell on the front, but otherwise it has been totally revamped by the friends - 3 of which come with the set - Olivia, Emma and Andrea. I quite like the fact that the Friends have had a bit of a makeover as I have so many versions of these three, that it is great to have a slightly different look (as if they were slightly different friends!)There are loads of cool features to play with in this set - set over several floors of the main house but also with a swing set and a bike and trailer, which can be played with separately or moved alongside other sets (we often have other set out for playing with for a number of months before putting them away again. There is the amazing fire pole which they can whizz down (round and round and down and even up again against the laws of gravity but not the laws of imagination!) but there is also a more conventional slide to go from 1st floor to the garden if you feel like it. There is a pulley to bring supplies up to the top floor or send things down to the friends downstairs (my girls often send the hamster down this way as they say that its too far for him to walk down and his arms would be too short for the pole!) There is a vegetable garden out the front, which the bunny lives in - eating all of the carrots that he wants! There is a barbecue with hot dogs and there is a teapot and mugs for drinks in the kitchen as well as a microwave and a fridge and so much more! This is an awesome set - whether as a first big set - or as a new addition to your child's growing Lego collection - this one has hours of fun for building, rebuilding and playing with the characters and their little Lego props.

I'm not sure when Lego decided it needed to make a variant for girls, but this is very cute. It's smaller than I expected, but of course in my childhood memories everything was bigger because I was smaller! It's about the height and width of the long side of an A4 piece of paper, and about as deep as the short side of A4 paper so it's still quite big - and perfectly suitable for a couple of little girls to play with it together. This is really fab. It will appeal to doll loving girls and building girls, with both the ability to create something imaginative and also to actually play with it afterwards. I love the inclusion of pets, and I understand Lego Friends is a whole series. (Ask the kids!).The figurines are more human-looking than classic Lego figures - more rounded, less boxy. Again, I imagine some research group has identified that this makes the characters more appealing to their target audience. I like that they are different skin tones, and different features (specs, eye colour, hairstyles etc) which personalises them far more than the old style black eyes, black smile and choice of boy/girl wig.So, my "little people" testers: 11 year old twins, 15 year old, 5 year old, and a 12 year old boy who wanted in on the action.11 year olds went straight to work, building the house like their lives depended on it and then happily played with it for a while until the 5 year old got bossy about where the stickers should go (apparently, on her nose was not the correct place but it amused her!). The fifteen year old (and huge playmobile fan in her "youth") was fascinated but refrained from getting overly involved. The 12 year old boy, who is a Lego officionado, found it interesting but not as challenging as the models he is used to.Overall, a WIN for the target audience.

Top notch stuff here and my soon to eight years old daughter has absolutely loved it. She pretty much was able to build it by herself, but she does have a fair bit of experience, but regular checking by an adult saves a lot of time later. There are rather a lot of stickers in the set and that's where I'd say it's worth helping out because getting them straight / centred and in the right place is very important and stickers being stickers are not at all easy to reposition. If this is a first experience with this type of Lego I have to say that the instructions are superb and providing one's child is fairly meticulous they should be able to complete it by themselves. From experience I know my daughter has a tendency to rush things so after each page we'd check together that everything matched the instructions because (as we've found to our cost in the past) putting something right several pages down the line can be rather a lot of detective work and time.Once built she has spent really quite a lot of time playing with the converted fire station. She loves the fact that Olivia now wears glasses (my daughter does too) and that there's three animals to hoist up and down on the pulley system. The fire pole is also a big hit. The bicycle with trailer and the swing also really add to the immersive experience. My daughter would have liked to see all five friends included, especially as there are five beds (I think there was a version that did include all five but I can't find it), but since she shares this house with her Sylvanian family animals, it's not much of an issue! It's withstood a fair bit of bashing around and nothing has fallen apart which is great. If you want to spend a little more Olivia's Mission Vehicle is a good accessory and is available

My 11 year old had great fun building this, it took her 2 hours in all. Her first comment when opening it was “oh, they’ve changed the characters, they look more normal”. Whilst this is true, the names are the same, but the skin tone is more varied and Olivia (the one into science?) has gained some glasses. That aside the other change is more added features to play with once you are done building. This set includes perhaps the most gloriously random piece of Lego ever; a great long gold pole the characters can twirl down. Once you understand the back story of the set (the Friends have made the fire station into their HQ), this sort of makes sense, as do the wonderful lift up doors. The mechanics of this set are the most fun bits. There’s a slide, a cute hamster wheel complete with hamster, as well as a swing, bike and trailer and clever dual screen secret TV. There are cute bits like pizza squares and mini hot dogs and buns. All these add to the play value. All in all an imaginative and imagination-provoking set with great design touches. We would have liked to see fewer stickers, but overall a great set with a lot of detail crammed in and good value. The age guideline is about right, though sadly not many 12 year olds will still want to play with this, it went down well here though. Excellent set.

Every year, Lego brings out a new house for one of the Friends, or someone in the show, so it was exciting to see that, this year, the house is not just for one character, but is a hang-out for all the girls. The Friendship House is a converted fire station, which acts as a club house for all the Lego Friends. Although you don’t get all the girls included, you do have Olivia (new look for her, with new glasses and hair), Emma (brown eyes, same hair piece) and Andrea (new outfit, brown eyes and new hairpiece) as well as Dash the puppy – who also looks slightly different from previous pieces, as his tongue is sticking out, Rumble the hamster and Cinnamon the bunny figures. The set is aimed at 6-12 years old and contains six bags of bricks, lots of stickers and a detailed instruction booklet. The Friendship House contains four floors; including a garage, kitchen, living area, bedroom, terraces, a balcony, a pulley, fireman’s pole, swing, bicycle with trailer and a whole host of smaller accessories – from a microwave, to a pizza book, furniture and even a hamster wheel for Rumble! My ten year old daughter loves Lego Friends and this set contains not just a lot of building fun, but huge play value. A wonderful set and a nice idea to have a house which is aimed at all of the girls.

My grand daughter loves Lego and will no doubt be absolutely thrilled to her hand on this set.Called the 'Friendship House' building block the set comprises 3 mini-doll figures, a dog, a hamster and a rabbit. The main feature is a 4-storey converted fire station building with a garage, kitchen, living area, bedroom, roof terrace, performance terrace, side balcony with barbecue, working pulley system, mailbox, spinning fireman's pole and a slide, plus a friendship tree with swing and a bicycle with trailer. The kitchen comes complete with the usual white goods while the living room has a table, 5 stools and opening cupboards.I like the fact that the component parts of the set come individuallywrapped so there is no spending hours raking through loads of parts to find the bit you need. It's up to Lego's usual high quality, can be played with by either gender and I like it.

My Daughter loves Lego Friends and we have been buying, building and collecting their sets for a few years now. This is another brilliant set from the range which she has really enjoyed building and playing with. This was a fun build and although the Friends characters have had a few changes this year (this was one of the first things that my Daughter noticed), she likes the changes and really likes that Olivia now has glasses and Andrea's new hair style.Size:-The Friendship House is a good sized build and I have measured that it is approximately 29cm wide by 13cm deep by 29cm high to the top of the purple roof not including the telescope on the top.To give a general size comparison to anyonewho perhaps has some of the recent Friends sets the Friendship House is a little taller than the

My 12 year old daughter has a lot of lego friends sets and we thought this one was fantastic. It has several floors and a lot of nice little touches and details. It has a cart and a winch, a swing and a dorm full of beds, as well as sewing table and a fireman's pole to slide down. My daughter is 12 and managed to make the set by herself but thinks it would be beyond most five years olds. It took her a couple of hours to put together, but she has had much more fun since playing with it as a 'dolls house'.If you have lego friends sets, this appears to be one of the better ones. It is quite big and can allow lots of play as well as providing lodging for all of the characters.A good starting set or addition to existing sets. Recommended.

This is a lovely set of adequate complexity to offer the kids a nice day or two of build and then a long time of fun play. This is a relatively large set so I would recommend it for a Xmas gift or something major, like a birthday. The one concern that I mentioned in previous reviews of this product range is that the characters seem to diverge in style from earlier versions. This may make the kids complain about not recognizing the 'friends' anymore. All in all, an exceptional set that fits well with the Friends series.

My goodness how Lego has changed since I was buying it for my children in the 1980s! I remember the excitement the Christmas we bought a Lego Space Station, (which is still in a box in the loft) and now we have hot tubs, pizzas, popcorn and even a hamster.I bought this set for my granddaughter, who I'm sure will be delighted with it. I was delighted to buy it for half price in an Amazon Daily Deal, so satisfied customers all round.

Hey Lego is always the favourite in our house for the kids and now the grandkids. My granddaughter loved this set and at 6 years old made it herself with very little support. She loves to lay on the floor doing this by herself, it takes ages and she does a few sittings but always gets it done. She then loves to show me all the little details on it.Highly recommended always

My daughter got this for Christmas and she loved it! It’s got lots to do and I have to say I really enjoy the occasional play with it too! It’s got a pulley thing and a pole to wind and go down, it comes with plenty of accessories and characters. Hours of fun for kids and even adults! Lego has always been great but it’s just got so much detail now!

I've always loved Lego and happy my daughter seams to enjoy it as well. I liked the look / detail in the set so decided to buy (think it was on a deal when i bought). I have to say I was really impressed. Lego is not cheap but this set is really well designed with loads of stuff going on in this set. Really happy with this.

Grand-daughter was delisted to get this for her Birthday - although she had dropped lots of hints! She had received several other Lego sets earlier in the day and they were already assembled. Now enjoying a wide range of houses, people and other bits and pieces to play with when friends come.

Great build my daughter loved it. I always think these items for the price always turn out so much more smaller than imagined but the quality is always top even the little quirky things the build has. Lovely and colourful and always puts the smile on so I’d recommend :)
