Now, I'm not usually a fan of 'Friends' Lego sets, though I suppose being a full grown man, I'm not really the target demographic. My nine-year-old boy loved this as much as any of the non 'girly' Lego sets and didn't really see this as something for girls. In terms of any Lego house this is a substantial and detailed set. It took us a couple of afternoons to complete the whole house, some of the build requires quite fine motor control - great for kids, a little bit harder for fat handed dads. There are many special pieces and some unusual colours, so if you're looking to increase the variety in your collection, there's plenty here. Beyond the special pieces, there are a couple of clever builds, that will hopefully inspire a bit of creativity. There are four rooms in the house and each has their own beautiful charm: a kitchen, a lounge, a lavatory and an office with a split-level sleeping area. I particularly like the kitchen, which crams in a sink, a food processor, an oven and hob, a cupboard and drawers, taking up a space of 2 x 10 studs. There are lots of little accessories for the kitchen; the little oven fits a tray, so that biscuits and cakes can be cooked and the cupboard and drawers can be filled with cutlery and cookware. The lounge has a sofa, a coffee table with a smartphone and mug, plus lots of decorations and other furnishings. The lavatory is quite cute, with a toilet and washbasin. The main upstairs room is chock-full of detail and furniture; there is a desk and chair, and rugs on the floor. A ladder leads up to the mezzanine sleeping area, with a little bed and lamp.Outside there is a balcony with wooden steps, an animal feeding area, climbing wall, a separate picnic table and a separate well. The balcony leads to the large upstairs room as does a hidden hatch in the climbing wall. Animals can be fed at the feeding station and friends can enjoy a meal at the picnic table. The house is stylishly designed, with tall, arched windows and plenty of differentiation and detail that creates a lot of visual interest. Simple builds, like the two-brick birdhouse, are an excellent example of the attention to detail. In terms of colour, the build isn't too cloyingly sweet; there are plenty of browns and greys to counter the brighter, more vivid tones. There are three friends figures, which are taller and more doll-like than the standard Lego minifigure and represent two women and a man - my son reckons the man is a dad, due to his fine moustache! There's also a rabbit and a pony that can be ridden by the figures.Overall, I think this works both as a decent Lego build and as a doll house like play set. It will definitely keep a child interested for a couple of afternoons while they build it and should provide lots more imaginative play after that. If the child likes to take apart and build again, there are lots of interesting pieces to add to their creations.

My 10 year old niece absolutely loves this set and will work on it for hours non stop. However, it's a bit too complex for my 4 year old nephew who likes to play with the characters and swap their hair around and body parts etc. So if you're buying it for a younger child you will definitely need to sit with them and do it together and it is quite time consuming as it's so complex. The first time we got it out the three of us we were stuck for a little while figuring out the instructions which weren't brilliant. We also thought we had parts missing - we didn't, it was just the way the instructions/diagrams were laid out and we got confused.Once we got going though it was quite intuitive following the instructions and my niece was fine to build it herself, with her little brother acting as her assistant. He loves the lego but is too young to use it really. I was actually surprised by how much my niece got stuck into this set and she will go back to it time and again. It does take a long time to build the full thing. It will take her the whole day, but she loves it and it looks very impressive. So for lego enthusiasts it's probably quite a good buy, or for kids who like a challenge and like to get engrossed in a project/game. This will keep them occupied for hours on end. So if that's what you're looking for then this is one to buy. I've given 4 stars as I think to instructions/diagrams could be better when you're starting off. It would be quite easy to become frustrated and give up when it's a good set of lego. Would recommend.

My daughter absolutely loves Lego. She’s been doing Lego from around age 4, normally with quite a bit of help off daddy. She got this set for Christmas (a new tradition apparently)She started it a few days ago and has done bits of it over 4 evenings. She was so pleased with herself that she’d managed to do it all on her own.The Lego Friends sets are great value for money. The hours of play, the construction of it all then playing with the house and figures makes it really good value.I would say obviously if young children are doing this they would need supervision, there are lots of tiny pieces.Lego is no longer just basic classic bricks, the pieces are fantastic from the horses, figures, flowers, right down to the little fried egg and the knives and forks that go in the kitchen draws. The doors are useable, opening and closing. Drawers open and close.Young and old can certainly let their imaginations run wild while building and playing.Accessory elements include a mixer, spatula, bowl, baguette, frying pan, sunny-side-up egg, plate, cutlery, three cups, three cupcake cases and a baking tray, saddle, bridle, helmet, roller skates, beehive, cell phone and a camera. This mini-doll house is the perfect set to role-play family life, and let imaginations run free.LEGO friends sets encourage creative play, and make building imaginative and fun.Contains 715 pieces – toy house for boys and girls aged six+ and for fans and kids of all ages.Measures over 8 inch (22 cm) high, 12 inch (31 cm) wide and 3 inch (9 cm) deep.

Lucky Mia having so nice a house (even if it is a facade that doesn't go back very far). The two storey house has a staircase going up the side and also a "climbing wall" feature so Mia can clamber up it to her bedroom. The house has a fancy facade and a bedroom with a desk, lamp, chair and bunk beds, a bathroom with a sink and toilet, a living room and a kitchen with a hob, oven and dining area with accessories such as a frying pan and fried egg, a blender cutlery, a baguette, baking tray and cupcake cases, mixer and spatula so that you can pretend to bake and produce a breakfast.Outside there is a well and a chair and table set.The set comes with MIa, her mum Ann and dad Angus, her pet horse MItzi and her rabbit. There are accessories such as a riding helmet, saddle, bridle and a random beehive, roller skates, phone and camera. My children always seem to love these extras on first use but soon lose them.It is a very cutesy set, with one star off because I think at just under sixty pounds the price is a bit toppy as the "house" is a facade . It has had more play value than expected as my daughter has enjoyed rearranging the house design, making a bungalow and long house and using bricks from other sets to make the house bigger and with more rooms than the planThere is a lot of potential for extra building or for play with the set. Great stuff.

Lego always seems to be popular with kids of all ages and, although it is quite expensive to buy initially, it lasts very well offering a lot of fun for the price. This Mia's House Set is from the Lego “Friends” range and is suggested for boys and girls aged 6 plus – although this newish “mini-doll” product range, introduced in 2011, was designed primarily for girls. The main section is a Continental-style house – more of a façade than a full depth house – along with Lego “Friends” Mia, her Mum & Dad, plus Mia's pet rabbit and horse figures and a good selection of Lego accessories. This is a bit of a specialist Lego product, so is best selected for a child who is familiar with Lego's “Friends” world, but the Lego pieces supplied here are compatible with all other Lego sets. Currently around fifty-five pounds from Amazon this Lego “Friends” set is from a growing range of related products and is well made and good fun for the right child. If you are happy to pay the price for genuine Lego then this “Friends” house set is worth five points as the quality is all there and it should last for many hours of play.

This Mia's Friends House set is another winner from Lego. You get all you need and more to have a large house, lots of accessories with Mia, Angus and Ann figures not to mention rabbit and a horse. The set is well designed and thought out to maximise play.Your child (over 6+) will have hours of fun playing with the set and interacting with the figures.True they will need a little help in buildinbg the house up first but then that is half the fun of Lego.I won't 'cut and paste' to repeat the contents you can read and see for yourself but the box is really well presented and looks like a substantial gift.So if you are a Grand Parent or Aunt or Uncle and the like you will be reassured that this looks a well-thought gift that impresses.Hours of fun for children 6+ A Winner.

Lego Friends Mia's House SetOne of the bigger and more complex sets of Lego Friends available, although like it usually is with any Lego: more bricks is more fun.The set consists of 715 colorful pieces and quite a lot of them are the tiny ones. The house is made of a living room, kitchen, bathroom, hallway and a bedroom. There is also an external part of a house with a dedicated space for a horse. There are 3 Lego Friends minifigures included. The level of details is great, especially interiors are just incredible, although exteriors look decent too.Price tag is not too tempting normally, although you can buy it on sale from time to time. It's a lovely set which will be a great buy for every Legoand especially Lego Friends theme fan.Highly recommended product.

I thought I would upgrade my 4.5 year old daughter from the duplo range as she really does love it but as she is getting a little bit older I thought I would move her onto lego itself. The set is lovely, great little details which really does make the house but for the price I find it really quite small in comparison to how lego sets were when I was much younger. You don't get a lot of bang for your buck so to speak! It has kept my daughter entertained for a good while and makes her use her imagination which is great to see and was the main purpose. It did take a while to build which again was fun! All in all if you have a big lego fan then you can't go wrong with this set.The ONLY negative I have is the size of the house its not worth the price they want to charge you!

This was perfect for the 6 year old girl of the family. She had been asking for a lego house for a long time and when she received it her face lit up. She couldn't wait to get started and became more excited with every page turn. The instructions are easy to follow colourful diagrams for children and the bags are labeled 1 - 5, the instructions let you know when you need to open a new bag. The house has beautiful little details such as a toilet and sink, carrots for the horse and a reclining sofa. The set has several characters so when the house it build there is plenty for the characters to explore. This toy will give many hours of joy and it well worth the investment.

Perfect just what my young daughter had been dreaming of. Amazon had the best price so got it. Managed to have it delivered in secret and wrapped up. She couldnt have been happier when she got it!Enough challenge and lots of cool details, the usual Lego quality. And will last forever. Don't do xmas kids love getting presents all through the year as surprise instead.

This is a great addition to the Lego Friends range. The house has loads of great details, including the horse's saddle and bridle, a climbing wall and a kitchen. As well as being great fun to build (though with lots of small details) it works really well as a dolls house once it's complete. My 5 year old has really enjoyed this set.

Little girl loved getting this for her 7 th birthday took a good 4 hours to put together but this was both of us. Good lockdown ice breaker. After looking around argos was the cheapest to buy from. Easy click and collect to into store as had to wait few days. Stated 7 days but was in store after 2.

My daughter loves it. She had some help but she was able to play independently too. It's a good size to extend the fun over several days. Instructions are big enough to be followed easily. The finished product can still be fun as a regular dolls house too so it's great!

This is a stunning Lego doll house. It is a beautiful construction at medium level of difficulty. An 8 year old will complete in an hour or two. It is filled with nice detail and a set of cute characters. Delightful all around and worth the rather hefty price tag.
