I have actually had this set for almost a year but just haven't managed to review it until now. My children and I love the Lego Elves range and this is definitely the most played with set out of all of the Lego Elves set's in our home. My children still play with this on an almost daily basis which I think shows what a good set this actually is and their favourite part of the set is still being able to raise and lower the magic ladder bridge. This is actually one of my favourite sets out of the Elves range and easily my children's favourite set even against some of the newer sets which contain Dragons. This set is due to retire soon but when I purchased it the main retail price was £39.99 and although I managed to buy it at slightly less,it is definitely a worthy £40 set from Lego when compared to others I have purchased across the Elves, Ninjago, Junior and Friends ranges and I think priced about right. The set is a really decent size and I have measured that it is approx 25.5cm wide by 13cm deep by 18cm tall at the tallest point of the green roof. The Treetop Hideaway is a little bit more difficult to build than some of the other sets and so it does take a little bit of time to do but the instructions as always with Lego are quite easy to follow and are spread out over 2 instruction booklets. The build itself is spread out over 4 construction bags and it comes with stickers to adhere and a brick separator tool too.The set comes with a Farran Leafshade figure, Azari Firedancer figure, Emily Jones figure and an Enki the Panther Cub animal figure too. Emily also comes with a little backpack bag.The treehouse is made up from two trees which can be joined together with the magic ladder bridge which has a part underneath to hold it up between the two trees when wished. The lower part of the set has a magic portal through which Emily can arrive, a table for them to sit and eat/drink, a little stream with water bucket, a secret compartment with a hidden letter and a downstairs cooking pot and fire. On the upstairs main part of the treehouse there is a balcony and the leaf canopy can be moved apart to see between the purple leaves. There is a sofa bed which can be made into a bed or split into two sofas for the Elves and Emily to sit. On the upstairs part of the second tree there is a magic bucket lift which can be raised and lowered with the included apples and carrot, a plate for storing the food and a telescope for the Elves and Emily to look out from. This is a fantastic set from the Lego Elves range and as I mentioned above this has easily been my children's favourite set to play with and I would thoroughly recommend the set if you were considering getting it and even if paying it's full retail price (but obviously much better if you can manage to get it for less). Definitely one of the best Lego Elves sets so far.

The 41075 Elves “Treetop Hideaway” is a 505 piece build. It come with 4 numbered bags, 3 loose base plates, a sticker sheet and 2 instruction booklets. This is the tree house home of Farran Leafshade.- Emily Jones – white t-shirt with blue stripes, blue shorts and yellow and white shoes- Azari Firedancer – Fire Elf – lovely hair and ears piece which goes from brown to “gold”, beautifully printed bodice with double layer skirt (rather than printed line on the edge), wears flip-flops- Farran Leafshade – Earth Elf - the same as the 41076 Crystal Hollow set – nice hair and ears piece, green waistcoat over a brown t-shirt/vest,green trousers and brown boots- Inky - panther cub – stunning face printingThe printing on the figures in the Elven series has been outstanding so far and I do hope that Lego can maintain the standard they have set.The build consists of 2 large trees with a number of playable items on the “ground” and in the “tree tops”.It even includes a portal for Emily’s arrival in “Elvendale”.In the webisode “Unite the Magic” when Emily travels through the portal and arrives in Elvendale she meets the enthusiastic Azari, who takes her to see her friend Farran to see if he knows how Emily can return home. This is the scene that is being played out here. There are some “new” bricks – for example mushroom tops and the lamp shade have a glitter effect to them, there are lilac, blue-purple and pink “branches”, new style plant/flowers (new ones have 6 spikes/stems to attach flowers to rather than the old 3 flower ones), and so on.There are golden coloured plant stems and beautiful new designed trellis/rails.There is a cooking pot which can be rotated on the spit, a buckle on a (new) clear purple/blue chain.Farran’s bedroom is really good – there is a bed which can be opened up to make a 4 seater corner couch/chair, along with 3 of the new safety rails, the branches above his room can be moved to allow light in during the day or they can be closed over to allow him some privacy. The ground plates form both green land and blue water.I have to say that this build is stunning. It has now taken pride of place within the Elven realm of my Lord of the Rings and Hobbit builds – and it does fit in well with those allowing for Elven children to appear.Even if you don’t have any Tolkien related builds these Elven builds form a lovely town of their own. This is an amazing build and I am so glad that I have taken the plunge into the Elven realm.

LEGO Elves Treetop Hideaway comprises 505 puzzle pieces plus three mini dolls; Emily Jones, Azari Firedancer and Farran Leafshade along with a panther cub called Enki. A full instruction booklet is included. I wouldn't say Treetop Hideaway is hard to assemble but due to the large amount of tiny pieces it is quite fiddly. This is the first building in the story of Emily Jones and the start of her story as she finds herself transported, through a portal, into the world of the Elves and has to find her way back home. The sets are designed for older girls of around 7 to 12 years and carry a safety warning for children under 36 months.Once assembled the toy offers plenty of interaction; magic lift, viewing platform with telescope, cooking pot, hidden compartment with secret letter, moving portal, balcony with bed and table, moving tree branches and moving bridge. There are also flowers, lights and a glittery mushroom. The bases are simple and colour coded as blue for water, green for grass, red for fire etc.Treetop Hideaway is quite sturdy and stands up well to a decent amount of play.Pieces and dolls and interchangeable between compatible sets. We've has a lot of fun mixing and matching. Just be careful of the those tiny, tiny pieces. It's amazing how quickly they get lost.Happy to recommend. We have quite a large 'Elves'' collection and there's an app available to download which adds more depth to the story of Emily Jones and her adventure.

This is one of the most impressive and unique Elves sets; 2 interconnected treehouses with a leaves/branches curtain that slides open to reveal an Elf apartment with a comfy sofa bed.! We have amassed most of these beautiful pink and lavender elf structures. The set includes a neat range of characters; Emily Jones, Azari Firedancer and Farran Leafshade but also a curious blue panther cub Enki.Like the other Elves sets there is a lot of detail, colourful decoration, functionality in the form of a chain lift and some secrets like a postbox, a magic portal and magic ladder bridge . So you’ll get a lot of play value form this tree top playset. It took four half-hour sessions for our children to complete the construction and assembly of this 505-piece set.But it required little assistance from my side. The instructions are very clear, as is always the case with Lego sets. And the children greatly enjoyed playing with the set afterward as the completed set looks great, and blends in well with their Elves villages. And the great advantage is the everything is completely compatible with other Elves sets or any other Lego product. So to conclude , and one that stands out given the colour scheme and theme. All comes in the expected great Lego-quality.Too bad that the Elves line seems to be discontinued, for now, and that sets are getting scarce through regular channels. With a little imagination the line could have been taken much further.

This is a brilliant set - my 7 and 8 year old daughters have been raving about it constantly since they opened it and have played with little else since. This is their second Lego Elves set, so they are already familiar with Azari Firedancer from the Magical Bakery set and the overall concept of the Elves and Emily Jones from the standard video clip on this page (and other Elves sets pages)All of the Elves range are fairly unisex, but seem to be more squarely aimed at girls, even if they are less pink and purple than the Lego Friends sets. My girls like pink and purple, but not exclusively and also love adventures and getting out into the woods to play and climb tress and imagine magical worlds- these sets certainly tap into that part of their imaginations and this set is a big set and for Lego is pretty good value compared with some of their other sets.It is good value, not only for the size of the set, but also that it is a little bit more complicated and therefore takes a little more skill to build and appreciate. This set took teamwork between my girls and myself - so it was a great family moment when it was completed. The set looks superb once set up and there are so many little features that the imaginative play just goes on and on. They particularly like winching things up in the bucket, using the special tree-to-tree walkway, the magical portal and the secret postbox. Such a magical set!

Lego Elves are created around regular girl - Emily Jones who finds herself in elves world where Azari, Aira, Naida and Farran lives. This particular set contain Emily Jones herself so it would make a great starter pack. It include also Farran Leafshade, Azari Firedancer figures and Enki, the baby panther. This is one of the biggest Lego Elves sets we came across and it seems also a very good value for money with over 500 pieces included. The Elves' Treetop Hideaway contain a lot of special parts, which we did not have yet despite having many sets of Lego in our possession, just to mention few: chain for the bucket lift, bendy ladder / bridge, purple and lilac tree parts, pink jewels, green balcony, secret compartment, glittery light, moving portal (the round blue brick with swirly pattern)... There is a lot of cute, tiny parts. It is recommended for ages 7 - 12 but both of my girls who are almost 5 & 10 love Lego Elves much more than any other sets we previously had... at least for now. The good thing about Lego Elves is the fact that they are compatible with regular Lego blocks and Lego Friends characters so my girls will be able later to add them to their huge already Lego collection and make their own creations.

Beautiful Lego treehouse set with incredibly cute characters and animals. Emily goes through a portal and meets the Elves at the start of a magical adventure. There is a webisode link the instructions so it's a great idea to watch that first and then build the set. It is the usual good quality of Lego but as it is listed for 8-12 year olds it does have many, many tiny and fiddly pieces. I actually think that the ideal age for this set is 5-9 (it is listed as not suitable for under 3 years, quite rightly). You get the wherewithal to build a lovely tree house with a ladder, bridge and basket on a chain which the people, animals and/or food can be winched up and down in. You get Emily, a boy and girl elf,2 pets and lots of little accessories such as apples, cups, bags etc. It is very pretty and there is a nice Lego website page with activities on it. I think if your child like playing and acting out little scenarios there is quite a lot of play value in the set after building. There is a whole range of lovely sets coming out soon such as a boat and a chariot pulled by unicorns if you have deep pockets.

The new Lego Elves theme is a great new concept from Lego. Throughout the sets you are helping Emily Jones on her unexpected journey through a mysterious portal in her grandmother’s garden, to the magical world of the Elves. Emily will need the help of her four Elvish friends to find the four keys to open the portal that will take her back home. The Elves she meets are Farran, Azari, Naida and Aira (Earth, Fire, Water and Wind). This set includes Emily and two of these friends - Farran and Azari, plus Enki the panther cub. The treetop hideaway is the beginning of the Lego Elves story where Emily finds herself when she first steps through the portal, so this is a great set with which to enter the world of Lego Elves. There is loads of detail in the build and lots of different parts to play with. This set could appeal to boys and girls, and further sets can be purchased to continue the adventure. There is also an accompanying app and website for the children to understand the Lego Elves story and get involved in the adventure. It's very difficult to go wrong with Lego, and this is no exception.

I purchased the lego elves treetop hideaway for my 8-year-old daughter who is lego mad, she loves lego friends and now it's lego elves. As with most lego items they aren't cheap so making the correct choice on what lego product will give you best value for money is important and I would say this offers good value as lego products go. My daughter loves the building part almost as much as playing with it, It took her about 3 hours to build with very little help from me as the quality of the assembly instruction is superb. The treetop hideaway comes with 3 characters and a pet, the hideaway has a number of moving parts that make a childs interaction with this that bit more enjoyable.I felt this was a great lego product, but I always like to judge a childs toy by the reaction of the child and how often they play with it, I'm pleased to say my daughter loves this and continually plays with this as well as her other lego toys.

My daughter has been starting to do my sons lego, but that caused discussions over whos it was and who could do what. So we decided to look at getting her some of her own, and this was a Christmas present.I much prefer the Elves lego to the other predominantly girls lego - Friends. I think the Elves stuff is lovely. She is 4 nearly 5, and is able to do most of this on her own. She loves it, and is having little tea parties with all the Elves. She now has several sets, and is looking for more for her Birthday. My son also likes to play with it and "help" his sister build it, but I'm not sure he would want his own, as this is a little bit more on the girly side than the sets he prefers. As ever with the lego products the quality is great, and it all fits together just so, and looks really good when finished. I would recommend this for any budding Master Builders!

This big building set is specifically for fans of the Lego Elves. It is not a general-purpose bunch of parts that you could use to make practically anything. The project is to build the large and complex tree hideaway, and to do that there are some 500 parts, many of them specially designed for this model. There are two instruction manuals, well up to the usual clarity and quality for Lego kits, and these take you step by step through the construction. At this stage, the project feels more like work than play, and will take a child considerable concentration and perseverance, so there should be a sense of achievement when it is built, and play can begin. It isn't pink, but it is girly.I would not think of buying it for a boy. Because of the size of the project, it could be a family effort. Phones off, sit around the dining table, and pass the pieces!

Elves appears to be Lego's latest original theme and not having to pay royalties to anyone means that you get more in this set than you do in the similarly priced 'Frozen' playset. If your children are going to buy into this idea then this is the set to launch them with as it creates a sizeable treetop habitat as a foundation to their elf world along with two elves, a panther cub and a figure of Emily Jones, the heroine of the tale. Other sets include more male elves so boys are not excluded from buying into this game. With 505 pieces this set is probably going to require some adult assistance to assemble and I know my thirty year old son loved building it for my six year old granddaughter.

We received this lego set very recently, and I can confidently say it is already a great hit. It is themed on the Elves new series of lego and even though I cannot say I follow these things too closely, it seems to fit into a wider fairy-related craze going on these days in primary school. This is a large set (quite an impressive box) and offers three main characters with their accessories plus the entire tree complex in which they live. Original, well made and exciting as ever. Top marks. This is priced well (at £35 on Amazon at the moment) and is value for money.

This is another creative Lego product! We already have others in the Elves range and this only adds to the fun! It includes three figures...Emily Jones, Azari Firedancer, and Farran Leafshade. It has tons of accessories including, curtains bed, magic portal, ladder bridge and potions. The set is easily built and both our kids get stuck in together. The pieces are small, so not good for very young ones. The age range is 7-12 but our 6 year old helps his younger sister and they love it! Great fun as always expected from Lego!!

Have bought this as a Christmas present for seven year old daughter who has only recently "graduated" from Lego Friends to Lego Elves. This is, therefore her first Elf set and although I haven't seen it opened yet, I must say I am quite impressed with it so far. Quite a decent size set for the price. It also looks like it's going to be quite an interesting challenge. Looking forward to the build.
