I enjoyed watching my young grandchildren experience this set for the first time. They put together the animals then realized that they could mix and match the different parts to create their own animals. The balancing of the animals per the directions was right on and worked. Stabilizing the rocking base with two x two bricks was just what was needed when the kids did not want to see the animals rock back and forth. Good job!

The kids loved it and it's a great addition to their Duplo blocks. My only complaints (as an adult) are that some of the blocks were already scratched before we opened the bags and I wish the elephant was all the same colour. The darker blue of the elephant doesn't match any of the blocks we already have (and we have a lot) and it just seems an odd choice to make it two-tone.

This was given as a gift to my son for Christmas. He immediately liked the fact that it had a balancing feature. He enjoyed stacking the animals on top of each other and watching them rock. We got a few more Lego duplos for Xmas and he was already getting creative and using the balancing Lego for other purposes. I think this would make a perfect gift for early Lego players!

Safe toy with large enough pieces and no rough edges so suitable for a tot of less than 2 years old. Has coordination and shape and colour educational value.
