I gave the LEGO Duplo Legoville Big Farm (5649)to my 3yr old grandson for Christmas. It is by far his favorite gift this year to the exclusion of all the many presents under the tree. Because he's so curious about animals & loves his Duplo blocks, my daughter thought this would be a good fit. Most assuredly, the farm will provide the little guy hours of critical eye-hand coordination, analytical skill development, farm vocabulary and an understanding of farming, animals and crops, and how this relates to the food we eat. The Duplo Farm will provide years of the same for his baby sister too.The few toys my grandson requested from Santa--all heavily advertised "Toy Story" related--were put aside

Our granddaughter will be three in early April. She played with this LEGO kit yesterday for the first time and loved it. I put the barn together with her help fairly quickly. Then she arranged the animals, moved fences, opened doors and windows, played with the tractor, etc. She had a great time, especially correcting me when I would put a cow or chicken where it clearly did not belong. She has already announced that when she comes back to see us in a few days, we should take apart our existing arrangement (the one shown on the box) and build something new. That's part of the beauty of LEGO. The building possibilities are endless. Great for a child's creativity. Plus, the kits are just fun to build and play with.

I am a bif Lego fan, so I am happy to see my son interact with Duplo sets to start. This particular set is great. It comes with a vehicle and many typical farm animals, but the great feauture of this set is that it perfectly interacts with other Duplo sets.Since there are many spare building blocks, the kids can add on to the barn, or play on a different imagination pane. For my son, this barn is always on fire as the fire truck is permanently parked there, but what is encouraging, is that Duplo lets your tot imagination go wild. Cows driving the truck, grandma sleeping the second floor with the chickens (I am aware is some states that is typical), all is valid and easily blended with this set.As for durability,

My grandson loves it. I would put 5 stars, but he couldn't build the cart with all animals pictured on the box, and was pretty disappointed. I also tried to build it, but it looks impossible to be made. The rest is perfect. Very nice game for a child to explain him what a farm is.I am a fan of Duplo, bought it for my grandson and just for gift. The quality is high. Honestly, price is also a little bit high, but finally it's OK when you see your child happy.

Our whole family loves this toy! For the first few days, my girls would only fight over it, but now we've worked that out, and the two of them (ages 5 and 3) love to play with it. My husband and I seem to like playing with it just as much as they do! It is a bit pricey, but it seems to be the centerpiece for all of our Lego Duplo building efforts now. We love the different levels, all the animals and the moving bits.

We got this for our nephew who is five. He loves it and the family also really enjoyed setting it up and playing with it with him. Even my 49 year old sister!Legos are great for all ages and this farm is a great starter set.

Both my grand daughters,aged 4&2,are delighted with this LEGO kit.As an extra to existing Zoo kit and large baseplates and DUPLO blocks, the figuars and vehicles have proved a splendid hit.

A great toy for boys or girls who love to play with farm animals. Easy to put together. It includes a lot of animals so the extension kits are not necessary.

I almost bought more mega blocks, but my 3 year old LOVES this set. He'll play with it for over an hour by himself. I'm sold on lego.

My grandkids love playing with this farm, especially the tractor. It is easy to build the barn and the set has alot of animals.
