This is a complete lego set for starters. It only lacks a base. It comes with a simple manual with easy instructions. I bought this for my 8 year old grandson who adores all types of lego sets. This is very simple for him, but still fun. He can make cars, animals, houses following the instructions and creating his own. I would certainly recommend it. The price is reasonable considering the number of lego pieces and the different sizes and colours. However, you can get it £5 cheaper in ASDA!LA

A good starter kit with plenty of different size blocks and pieces, including wheels etc.If I was to be picky, the cardboard box it all comes in is not very useful once opened. (children quickly destroy cardboard!)A plastic box or tub would be much better, otherwise a good kit.

My 7 year old has just discovered the joy of Lego - and this was a great starter set to get for her with a huge pile of bricks, doors and wheels - then ended up also buying her a baseplate and a box of the red roof tiles too (neither of which are in the box)

Many and versatile bricks, quite a few with eyes and faces among them; Since we opened the box a few days ago, my four-year-old daughter hasn't stopped creating all imaginable kinds of little creatures and homes for them. Great fun.

Bought for the kids for Christmas. They have had duplo and sticklebrix, now moving on to Lego, got a few items for them for Christmas this year. I remember playing with Lego as a kid, and had lots of fun. Hoepfully they will too.

This was for my nephew who is only 2 - turns out he's too young for the size of the pieces. I know it says 4+ on the box. Oh well he will have to wait a year or two to enjoy! Great kit with loads of pieces.

fantastic collection of random leggo bits,from doors to windows,wheels,to bricks 1s 2s 4s 6s and eigh a must for any leggo enthusiast great value

Lovely kit to increase basic bricks etc. It kept my 8 year old grandson and husband happy nealy all of Boxing Day!

Really great gift for a little boy who loves lego. Better value than a particular model kit tobuild. Very happy.
