They've re-invigorated the BIONICLE line, though only for a short while. This is essentially the classic Tahu upgraded into the new Character and Creature Building System, and I like it a lot.Masks connect to the sides of the head now, and do seem a little prone to popping off, but given as that's part of the function of these toys, I suppose it's forgivable.I do love that they brought the gearboxes back, and allowed for posability too! A first and hopefully not the last time we see this in LEGO sets of similar nature!This comes highly recommended from me, a classic "BIONICLE" fan, and I am definitely on board with what LEGO's done with one of their previously longest-running brands ever.

I bought this for my 6 year old son, who struggled to put it together. Fortunately, his older brother (7) put it together for him. However, this one seemed to fall apart in places when my son would move it (our other figure, Master of Ice didn't have these issues). My son said the parts were off or something and the Master of Fire figure just wasn't as good (I think he was aiming for the term "solid" but he's 7). So I'm not sure if we just had some defective parts or what but this guy definitely isn't hold up as well as the Master of Ice (hence the 1 star deduct). My son still likes him though despite the fact that he is continuously loses limbs...

This design is influenced by the previous run of these characters while also incorporating new features that are spectacular. The new huge swords in particular are great, and I'd easily recommend the set to anyone who was a fan of the original. The mask looks like it took cues from both the original Kanohi Hau and the Nuva Hau, which looks great. The skull spider can also be a mask, so it actually serves a purpose rather than being there randomly. It also has very high pose-ability. Overall, I'd say this Tahu easily lives up to the originals and is a must-buy for fans of the new and old series.

My 8 year old accidentally picked out the wrong toy, he thought this was what he wanted but as it turned out it was just right for him. He kept begging us to help him put it together but with 2 younger siblings it was hard to get to it, finally one day, he went to his room and did it all by himself, he was so proud of himself, now all he does is takes it apart and puts it back together again, loves, loves, loves it!

Overall, the set is pretty good. I rated it 4 out of 5 because of a few things. Firstly, I did not like how it comes in a flimsy cardboard container. Second, the figure's head is hard to move without the mask popping off. Also, the joints could use more flexibility. I am still very satisfied with this purchase though. I am just personally glad bionicle is back considering I have not purchased a set in 5 years.

My 5 year old has recently gotten into the world of Bionicles and loves them! He picked out this set and has been very happy with it. Of course the original figures always get taken apart, but he has had hours of fun coming up with his own creatures and designs. We love Lego in our house, and Bionicle has become a favorite also! Great for encouraging creativity and independent play.

I remember when my brother and I first had the bionicles when they came out way back in the early 2000s. My nephews come over and play with them at my house and always say how they want to take the ones I have home with them but instead I bought this for my oldest nephew. Now I've started him on his own bionicles collection and he loves it!

Not only did the package came sooner than expected (about 3 hours or so), but it also allowed me to take the package and enjoy building it in solitude. It felt like being 10 again, and it made me remember the better times. Absolutely recommend if you’re a Bionicle fan.

I absolutely love this Bionicle. It is a fantastic set, and I do recommend it to all of you Bionicle fans out there. I like the surfboard/sword function, and it has a valve on the back to control the arms. If you are looki for something neat, get this Tahu.

Short and simple - This set gives you some great pieces that you can use to mod other sets. The look is nice, but I'm not a fan of the design. it's somewhat unremarkable. I combined the "chassis" with the Kopaka figure and made a sweet mecha-style build.

I ordered this to have as an extra gift. During the holiday it seems there is always an unexpected child or two that drops in. Bionicle are a hit with a good age range of boys (and girls) to have on hand.

Loved the original 2001 sets, when I saw this I knew I had to buy it, so I did, the shipping was fast, and it came in perfect condition. Love the building style and colors. Would buy again!

This Tahu is SO awesome! I really like the surf board/elemental fire blade function. There really isn't any other Bionicle like this! You have to get this now!

Solid toy. Fun construction, fun action. Huge throwback to the earlier series. A little pricy, but its nothing major at all. Other than that, no complaints.
