Pohatu, one of the $15 Toa / Master sets from the newly rebooted Bionicle line from Lego, is the shortest of the Toa, much like in the 2001 series. He features asymmetrical armor, with more armor on his right arm than on his left, the only Master / Toa that does. His arms are also jointed differently, as shown in the product image. Besides that, only his right arm swings, as he can utilize a dagger in it while having his boomerangs attached to his feet. With gear functions being back for the arm, Lego was smart enough to add an extra gear for friction to keep the arm from flopping to the side, as exhibited in the added photo. My only criticism on this set is how little armored it is.

As much as I dislike the CCBS system used for the newer BIONICLE figures, Pohatu looks pretty good. His mask is fresh but retains many similarities to the original from 2001. The inclusion of a gold mask was not necessary but certainly a welcome addition. I like his weapons in both design and function. You can detach them from his hands and stick them on his feet to serve as "hoverboards," which add to this figure's overall play value. The only real negative here is the included enemy. These are all the same across the initial wave of Toa from 2015, with the only difference being their colors. They're constructed of a simple five pieces and have limited function aside from poseable legs. However,

Pohatu is the shortest of the six Toa Masters, but that does not mean he is downgraded in any way. The action gear function for his right arm is very free, the arm swings as if it has very little friction on it but it still holds its pose perfectly when left alone in the air. Despite being small, he still has the impressive range of articulation as the other Toa Masters do while still remaining simple. Since he is indeed the simplest build out of all the six, I would get this one if you are unfamiliar with the new CCBS system of character building and want a simple set to begin.

My kids love these things. I love that they require them to assemble it themselves and they seem to be teaching them a little about mechanical engineering and how different parts interact with each other to not only make something, but how the parts work together to make different parts move. They love to assemble them, play with them, disassemble them, and reassemble them again. Hours of fun.

My 9 y/o LOVES Bionics and absolutely loved this set. It was a Christmas present for him. He had no problem assembling it at all and loves to take them apart and make new creations.

Great toy. Not very careful though they put several items in one large box so the individual boxed were damaged. Not good when its a gift but toys were fine

Bought this for a gift for my grandson. There were 4 different ones that he wanted, so I bought them all. The price was very reasonable. He loves them.

I have bought more Bionicles than I can even recall for my son. He loves these figures and spends hours making new figures from all of the pieces.

Very nice figure with a variety of useful parts. Very happy they brought back brown and Bionicle. However, the figure is fairly short.

Grandsons love Legos and asked for Bionicles. They were so excited. Will purchase more to get them a complete set!
