I bought this to take with me travelling. It's always handy to have a pair of scissors, a knife etc when you're stay away from home and a good quality tool will last a lifetime. This is exceptionally high quality. It's extremely well constructed, the blade and scissors are sharp and cut very easily (not sure how other reviews can complain about the scissors, I find them to be excellent!).It's very compact, lightweight without being so lightweight it feels flimsy, yet holds a usefully sized blade and scissors. Even the tweezers are OK and these are usually the weak link in any product like this... these aren't amazing don't get me wrong, but OK for occasional use.The blade is held firmly into position when open,is wide enough to be practical (some are so thin they aren't at all practical) and comes incredibly sharp. My only complaint - in fact the only complaint about the entire product - is the knife isn't as easy as it could be to open. The small nail-grip that you hook into to open it is at the hinge-end of the blade, which is a bit awkward and might be difficult if you have no nails at all! It's OK and entirely usable, just a small irritation worth mentioning. The nail file has a useful flat-end that can be used as a screwdriver and is easy to open. Much easier to open than the knife blade! The scissors cut really well in both hands and regardless of how you hold it. I was playing around on the Amazon packaging it came in and found no troubles slicing through it. The main body of the tool provides good, secure grip in use and the scissor action is smooth and consistent. The hook / clip is a nice addition from a practical purpose, but doubles up as a bottle opener which is a really nice added bonus. The juries out as to how effective it proves to be over time as it is quite small (being in a compact package) but it seems more than adequate as a portable option. This has a nice, slightly matte / rough finish to it, which adds to the grip in the hand and the feeling that this can take a lot of abuse; you won't need to be delicate with it!Products like this make me wish I did a job that involved cutting more things, just so I could buy more!

Well its here in front of me now i bought it on the 19Th march 2012. I have to say I am still as impressed with it now as I was on arrival. its great but lets get down to the review.SCISSORSthe scissors on the Leatherman at first were perfect cutting through all things appropriate with ease. now I have to push one handle one way and to other one another way to get a good cut. does it bother me no because when it completely falls apart I will use my 25 year warranty for a replacement awesome isn't it.KNIFEgreat until recently the latch that holds it in place broke off whether I was too heavy handed I don't no but looking at the piece that broke off I realise its made from an alloy very strong but brittle!.however the actual blade is still sharp (with a sharpening steel you can keep the fine edge)CARIBINER/BOTTLE-OPENEROpens that brew fantastically with practice and the Caribiner works ok never use it as not cool to walk around with that attached to your jeans you will look like a nerdy american guy who has a whole tool-kit clipped to his jeans.TWEEZERSwork well for twee-zingNAILFILE/FLATHEADgreat piece always a must just bulks it out and makes you feel like you get more.DESIGN10 out of 10 looks great and handles great not as strong as the micra but looks better.CONCLUSIONi will be sending my Leatherman back to yep Leatherman for a fix or replacement why not its the whole point of the warranty i want my knife opening and closing properly and i want the scissors to be ace again.Overall get one if you want that handy little tool you will never leave the house without well i only speak for myself thanks for reading.

I purchased these for use in the lab and for general everyday use. Anyone who works in any kind of shared environment will know that things, especially stationary, tend to go walkies. I can never find the scissors or Stanley knife when I need to open packaging. The size and weight of this tool makes it ideal to stay in my pocket, and they would also be good to keep in a first-aid kit.Upon receiving my CS, I was disappointed with the scissors. They didn't seem to be able to cut anything, even paper or hair, and were useless for plasters. However, there is a "knack" to getting a good cut, which I can't really explain, but try putting pressure on different parts on the handle and using different parts of the blades. When I figured this out, I found a sharp pair of scissors that can cut through paper, thin cardboard boxes and my hair with ease (maybe not on the first go every time, though). I would probably have given this 4.5 stars rather than five if it were possible because of this, but now that I've figured this out, it's perfect for my requirements. The knife is also sharp and surprisingly good for the size, and the combined file and screwdriver is excellent and mine has already been used several times at home.Last thing, the tool can be stiff to open when you first receive it, and the tweezers especially are quite difficult to remove if you don't have long-ish fingernails. My partner has a PS that he purchased 6 months ago, and the main tool (pliers) became less stiff quickly and the tweezers easier to remove within a couple of weeks.

I'm self confessed to being a little bit of a gadget hoarder, but so far I've yet to find anything that can rival this. The whole tool is built around a pair of scissors, which have good springback and are very sharp. I like the way the whole tool folds around them. The other tools are also accessible on the outside, unlike other multitool models which need unfolding first. The knife is reasonably wide which gives confidence when using it (a lot more than a keychain Swiss Army Knife, like a Victorinox Classic.) and it keeps an edge very well. The nailfile features a flat screwdrive on the end of it, intended for both flat and positive screws. It works pretty well for both of these purposes, although the wideness of the nailfile itself prevents it getting access to some screws that are recessed. My only minor faults are as follows:I've had one instance of the carabiner coming detached from my keychain in my pocket. However, I suspect this was more due to user error. If you're not comfortable with using the carabiner, there's a keyring-width hole for you to attach it to something that way.As others have reported, the tweezers are a very snug fit inside their hole. I haven't had reason to use them much yet though, so I suspect they will become looser over time.

I've had the Squirt PS4 for over a year and decided to change it up and get the Style CS. The pliers on the Squirt were so small they were useless about 70% of the time and I personally use scissors and a knife the most so I got this to put on my keys instead. It's so well made (like everything Leatherman does) and super lightweight. It's also thinner than the Squirt so that's nice too. The scissors are fantastic, super sharp and much better than the Squirt scissors as they're bigger. The bottle opener on the Style is so bloody good compared to the Squirt and is a clip too, so you can unclip the Style from your keys! Same blade as the Squirt which is fine, it's handy but obviously a proper knife is better. The nail file is very coarse which is great. For some reason I always find myself needing tweezers and these seem like pretty solid tweezers for the size (haven't tried them properly yet). They're both great multi tools in they're own way. If you need the extra tools/pliers get the Squirt, but this is damn good too and looks awesome. I probably use a keychain multi tool more than my Wave as it's always there, so they're a must have in my opinion and cheap too! 5/5

I have searched for a while now to find a decent little tool like this to keep in my pocket, and after trying many weaker products, I decided to try the small leatherman style, I wasn't disappointed. The blade is extremely sharp and wont let you down, and while you may not get as many different tools as some larger multi-tools, this was perfect for my needs. The scissors are solid, sharp and more than capable of handling various materials, the nail file with screwdriver tip is also more useful than i would have believed. The tweezers wont fall out easily so you have no need to worry about losing them, and the design of the tool overall lends itself to the whole thing being extremely lightweight while still being comfortable to hold. The only thing that lets the whole package down is the bottle opener, as i have used it many times, and although it gets the job done, its not as effortless as you might think.A great little tool and easily worth the price, compared to how much money you might spend trying to find a cheaper tool with this quality.

This is a small lightweight tool for light jobs, don't buy it if you need a full blown multitool as some reviewers here seem to have done. The blades of the knife and scissors are sharp as a razor and the nail file works well. The tweezers are not much use for anything but I'll keep them around in case I ever get a splinter I can't remove. All in the Style compares very well to other tools of the same class, I have a SOG Crosscut that's a couple of years old now and beginning to show its age (the main reason for buying the Leatherman). The SOG looks more like a standard multitool and it's solid and heavy compared to the Style. The two tools are similar in size but the Style benefits from slightly better design, the knife blade can be opened without first opening the scissors for example. The carabiner type hook/bottle opener adds extra length that make the whole thing a fair bit longer than the SOG but it's also a bit slimmer and as said above a good bit lighter. The SOG has served me well and I hope the Leatherman Style will do the same.

I purchased this Leatherman CS 4 weeks ago to replace a swiss army tool which I lost. The Leatherman should be much better as it's blade & scissor are much bigger when open due to it superb design. The knife blade is unbelievably good. It is so sharp it has cut through 15mm nylon rope without any effort at all. The blade quality is better than any blade I have ever seen. Unforunately the scissors let it down. They are much bigger than you expect but they don't cut much. For example, a standard piece of string won't cut, it just jams in-between the scissor blades as they close. This goes for most things including finger nails, paper and virtually everything I've tried to cut. The nail file is very good, again better than the SA tool but the bottle opener is a waste of time. I actually gave up. The carbiner clip allowing it to be clipped and unclipped from your keyring easily make much nicer to use. I hope Leatherman bring out a version 2 of this with the bad bits sorted, then it would be the ultimate keyring tool.

Was looking for a pocket friendly tool that I could carry at all times without thinking about filling my pocket up and after researching numerous forums and reviews settled for this one.I was looking for a tool with a good pair of scissors and not fussed about pliers, and this one came up top.Comes with a small, but very useful knife that is a bit fiddly to get out as the nail nick is positioned too far back near the joint (look closely at the image). Nail file is good and will last a very long time and the end is a flat screwdriver that will also work with philips heads due to it's design. The top acts as a clip to attach the tool to a bag/strap, but is also a bottle opener. The tweezers are a great addition that hide away well in the centre of the body.Really nice design and build. The cutaway holes reduce the bulk and the hole package is the size of a disposable lighter.I've had this for months and has been used on numerous ocasions.Worth every penny!

I bought this for my boyfriend as an upgrade from the Leatherman Wave. He tells me it has everything he needs & given that he has taken to doing every job around the house to prove just how handy it is, I can only agree. If I'm totally honest multi tools really aren't my thing but even I am impressed with this. The price was great too for such good quality. It arrived quickly & everything was super sharp. I know this as he took to shredding everything in another attempt to show my how good it is. You may tell I was a little reluctant to get it & wondered if he really needed an upgrade from the wave but he assured me he did & I caved. Since he has had it there hasn't been a single job that get 'I'll do it later'so in my eyes, this is the best thing ever & my other half would agree I'm sure. The only thing I miss the the measure marks on it that the wave had that this one doesn't. Aside from that spot on.

bought this little tool to replace my 6 yearold bottle opener. This comes a small leatherman box and is very well packaged. The knife that fold clicks into to place very well although it doesn't lock into place like the higher priced tools though this is not much of an issue.the knife is stupidly sharp, I mean its sharrrrrp!!! so be careful as I have nicked myself a few times.the main part if this unit is the scissors, they are spring loaded and are very well made, when opened they give a satisfying snap.lastly is the carabina also doubles up as a bottle opener but it takes a little getting used to as you sort of have to hook it over and push the tool down as opposed to hooking under and pulling up.regardless is the best mini tool I have owned and used.It is a must buy! you will be surprised while you are going about your business how many times you will use this tool!

Certainly a nifty little tool, I would thoroughly recommend the Style CS to anybody just wanting a small multi-tool to put on a keychain. Though a little pricey, the build quality is as high as you would expect from a Leatherman. Looks good too, and not intimidating if you're out and about in public where a larger knife or multi-tool would draw worried looks.FeaturesKnife blade- though only a small balde, damn is it sharp.Needles- little on the small side, but useful.File/ Flathead screwdriver- works fine as both.Scissors- good pair of scissors, even if the spring mechanism is a little stiffCarabiner/ Bottle-opener- the carabiner is why I went for the Style CS,as it means you can just clip the thing on and off of a keyring in seconds, making for easy access. The bottle-opener works, but isn't the greatest.A good, solid, small and basic multi-tool.

Utter amazing piece of kit.About the size of a modern car flip key.Contains a pair of sharp scissors. A nail file, a short and very sharp knife blade, a flat head screwdriver/prying things open thing, and a bottle opener. All functions are great and effective. Only down side is the knife blade is extremely stiff. You need a key, or some other tool to wriggle it out without breaking your nail off.I keep this on my key ring, I've used it for opening parcels, cutting twine in the garden, stripping electrical wires. Little jobs that now don't need a visit to the garage for a proper tool.Legal to carry in the UK due to size and design. Fantastic piece of kit. Wouldn't be without it.Only bit of advice. If clipping to a key ring, use a proper split ring attachment, not the spring clip at the end of the tool. That's how I lost my last one of these.

I purchased this after losing my Victorinox key chain penknife. It looked good and the other reviews very pretty complimentary. The look is nice and it's light, perfect for your key chain. The main elements are the scissors and the knife. The knife is excellent and very sharp. The scissors let it down since they don't cut efficiently. Certain things cut easily but other materials do not, e.g. string, fishing line which was very disappointing since I bought this item specifically for fishing The scissors are not a patch on my old Victorinox. The nail file and tweezers are fine.On the whole this is a good product but the poor scissors lose it a star. Had the scissors cut well I would have had no issue with awarding it 5*.Other reviews I've read also point out this flaw so I was aware of it, but decided to chance my arm therefore I can't grumble.

Much of the time with these little tool kits, you're presented with something that has so many different functions you don't know where to start. The problem is, they're usually a poor substitute for an actual knife, or scissors, or whatever. Not so with this handy little, and very small multi-tool.It's not awash with bits for every occasion, but what it does do, it does very well. Sturdily built, with a small selection of tools that work well in almost all applications. From the very sharp (yes, I did cut myself!) knife, to the scissors that actually cut most things, this is a great little kit that's been on my key ring for over a year now. When it does eventually break, if it ever does,I'd definitely be thinking about getting a replacement from the same company.
