If you have read my review of the Leatherman Wave T650, you may remember that I praised it for it's brilliant design, materials and rugged build, but conceded that it didn't quite have the broadest range of tools built in. Voila: the solution. The Wave "Bit Kit" thoughtfully adds a very broad range of tool heads - flat a cross-head screwdrivers, Torx heads, even baby allen keys, to the Leatherman Wave. Each model in the Wave range has a fold-out socket designed to fit all of these tools - swapping in different functionality takes just a couple of seconds. Each tool head has been fashioned from some incredibly hard-wearing alloy, slots perfectly into the main unit like the very expensively machined component it is,then works perfectly. Not for Leatherman the scuffed or easily-rounded edges; this set of bits feel like they are fashioned from "unobtanium" and built to be indestructible. They might well be, too... In fact, there's only one teensy annoyance with this add-on for your Leatherman Wave - and that's storage. Fortunately, a simple solution is at hand... Just purchase a spare "Wave" belt pouch and you will find that the bit kit will fit snugly inside, leaving just enough space for some lint-free cloth or perhaps even the help-sheet that they are supplied with.Positives:-1. Awesome build quality2. Perfect companion to a Wave - extends the basic functionality of the main tool with an approach that does not in any way compromise the design or rugged build quality of the main unit.Negatives:-1. Should really come with their own dedicated belt pouch [as the Leatherman does] because without something like this there is no simple or convenient means of handy storage...Overall, a perfect addition to an awesome multi-tool. You can't go wrong...

Ignore the silly people who say they won't use all the bits - if they don't want them, don't buy them, or ignore the ones you don't want & move on. Equally, ignore people going on about the different units used (imperial vs metric), because again they are highlighting their own ignorance.Moving to people who do have a clue, this is a comprehensive toolkit including many lesser found options, & most rarely used. The thing about rarely used is that when ye need them they're also rarely found! In this case, there they are, stored in your leatherman pouch (both "holders" will fit together in the non-leather pouch, along with the bit extender, & a torch!) ready to use. They work, the quality is pretty good (badly locating the bit in a screw & turning will start to round off the screwdriver bits for example), they're relatively cheap for what you get, & they extend your tools' usability ten-fold; recommended.

I had this item along with the Leatherman Wave for Christmas as a gift from my other half.I needed to have a multitool and screwdriver with multiple bits as a mobile platform, and these two combined excel at that. All the bits you'd ever need are here, allen pieces, posidrives, flatheads (even the smallest ones) and even Torx (to get into computers and laptops) which are hard to find as part of a set.I had a spare neoprene case so I carry these seperate from the Wave. This is a bit of a shame, but I don't think this is a design flaw. However, the plastic cases they are held in, I don't quite understand. There are small loops present at the top but not sure how they fix to anything?I think this unit would be more convenient if there was one block which was double sided rather than having two separate ones.

As many reviewers have already mentioned, this piece of complimentary kit to the Leatherman (the Wave, in my case) is well-made, light and fits in the Leatherman holster perfectly (you can just about fit both in the one holster, but you probably wouldn't need EVERY bit!). The only criticism that I would place against it is not really a criticism of the kit itself, just that the bit extension (available separately!) will take 'standard' bits and therefore these aren't necessarily required if you own a screwdriver set or drill bits! Similar size. Having said that, I managed to dismantle, repair and re-build my Sky box with this set of bits because I didn't have the hex driver needed in myscrewdriver set!

All the bits I think I'll ever need, good construction too. Comes with a small screwdriver replacement as well for the one already on the wave which is handy as I break mine too easy. Only thing I find with these if your using the bit driver extension is that they get stuck but I think that's the extension not these as they come in and out fine with if your just using the multitool. Also its a real shame Leatherman don't make a proper case that can carry these properly as most only allow one to be carried that I've found. Molle one is the closest to perfect for carrying both these and the tool but doesn't last long enough.

Literally had a use for these bits the day they arrived. Bits I didn’t have in other sizes/sets. I’ve had a learheman hanging on my side for the last 15 years or so, can’t believe I never had these before.I have the old skool leather sheath. Which had adapted to the size of the knife inside after so many years or sun and rain. It took a little shoving to get these guys in the same sheath and did add some minor bulk, but now a few months later; the leather had relaxed and they slide in and out easy, and the extra bulk I’ve got used to. Easy to forget you even own them until the moment your the most useful bloke around ?

Featuring two rows of Leatherman bits in hard plastic, this kit is compatible with a number of Leatherman tools including the Surge. They include Phillips, flathead, and hex bits. It also come with an eyeglass bit - unfortunately, this does NOT mount on the current Surge, and I understand this is limited to the Wave and Charge. The plastic racks are nothing special, and annoyingly the one that doesn't have the eyeglass bit has a mirrored hole for it, which I'm sure will drive me mad in a few years when I forget it didn't have anything in it when it was new. Made in Taiwan, for those interested in such things.

It seems to mix and up imperial and metric bits is pointless. I only use metric so all imperial items are to be never taken with me.Also the mixing of metric\imperial (ie 6mm and 1/4 hex bit) on the same bit is ridiculous. Having such a variety of screwdriver sizes is excessive.Personally I would like to see a single 'bit kit' all metric and 2 flat screw drivers on one bit, one big one small. Same for the cross screwdrivers.I know, I know. Its easier to just sell everyone the whole lot and for them to select what they need, easier and higher profits. But of course less healthy for the environment.

So far, so good. I've only just received the goods and I can't comment on the quality but I can comment on the design of the casing. I couldn't work out why the units came in two sections and what the purpose of the shape was. I emailed Leatherman and received the following response:"The bit kits are shaped the way they are to slide easily in & out of the pocket in the sheath. The loop at one end is the 'handle' to pull easily and the hole in it is in case you want to put it on a keyring. The groove at the other end is nothing more than a 'design feature'!"

A great set of bits for my Leatherman Wave. I use my Wave extensively for hobbies - specifically scale model kits and remote control vehicles - and this bit set is a very useful addition. Everything is well constructed and fits perfectly. There is just about every size of screwdriver, allen key and hex key for adjusting anything from a pair of glasses right up to tightening door hinges and all sizes inbetween. (I got an aftermarket pouch from Tasmanian Tiger and it's large enough to store my Wave and both sets of bits safely.)

I bought this bit kit as an addition to my Leatherman that I have in my EDC (Every Day Carry) I haven't tried all of them, but the ones that I have seem okay. They even work with the Leatherman Bit Extender in case you need to reach a more recessed screw.I can only get one of the bit holder sleeves to fit in the leather sheath that my Surge came in so I may have to put the most used ones in a single holder if I am carrying in the Surge's sheath, otherwise I'll just put them in my EDC case.

The variety of bits that this kit has is very useful. As it comes in two separate plastic holders, I've swapped the bits around so that I have an assortment of the ones I most commonly need in one plastic holder, which conveniently slots into the back of the leather leatherman tool holder.I've used the various bits for a range of jobs from general DIY to dismantling and putting back together a number of things with odd shaped hex-screws etc. Overall I'm very happy with the kit.

A very extensive range of bits, covering every size you would want to try and tackle with your Leatherman. You're clearly never going to try and unscrew rusty 6-inch screws with a Leatherman, but for almost every other size, there's a bit for it!Very secure storage clips, very sturdy and resilient, but without being bulky. Slides nicely into the pocket in the back of the case, so that you have no excuse to not have the right tool at the time when you need it most.

Purchased to go with my 'Wave', now shockingly used regularly.Same oxidised finish Leatherman uses on its tools, broad selection of options provided, though not 'Hex' compliant, these bits are proprietary bits for Leathermans own tool range that carry the feature. (Check on compatibility, there were older LMT's that were hex-bit)Light weight over all, though the steel used in these bits may not hold up to gas impact driven fixed screws as 'chewing' may arise.

A great addition to use with the Leatherman Surge. Sure it seems a bit pricey for what it is but I use the Leatherman Surge with a niteize case and this all fits together perfectly to make the ultimate portable toolkit. Since I bought this extra kit I have used it nearly every day. There are bits for almost everything in both metric and imperial. I have no complaints about this kit. I think my next purchase will be the Leatherman Bit Extender.
