First of all these reviews were a great resource when deciding what size to get before I bought this. I have the Leatherman rebar. My bit adapter kit takes up the little spot behind my tool, it essentially takes up the space a single bit kit takes up(warning a full bit kit will not fit in this size). Next I have a 1AAA gearlight flashlight in the side sleeve, which fits very nicely. On the other side I have a mini pen which fits great, since I don't have a wave or surge, I don't really need the bit extender so the pen is perfect to store here. Another thing I found helpful from a review was that for rebar owners you can store two AAA batteries on the bottom of the sheath which is genius.Overall I can't speak for the quality since I've only had this for a few days, have to say it seems to be a good design and good value. I've heard that the large sized sheath works best for anyone who has the bit kit. You can only really fit half of the kit in this size. A good product, let's see how it holds up.Follow up: I've been using this sheath constantly at work. It's been put through a lot. The two things worth noting are, 1 the belt loop has held up like a champ, and 2 the snap closure system is loosened to the point where it comes undone all the time.

Purchased this sheath as an upgrade from the standard nylon sheath after destroying at least three of them with my Leatherman Wave. My Leatherman Wave is my steady companion every weekend, and many evenings at home as I try to keep up with the many chores needing to be done on a small farm. For example, in replacing a crumbling p-trap last night, used the saw on the Wave the cut the plastic pipe, so the sheath sees use and abuse, hanging on my belt while doing everything from household plumbing, fixing fence and driveway mechanic work, to cutting cord after cord of firewood, dealing with ornery goats and fixing the chicken coops. The snap is much more secure than the velcro, and the belt loop, while not perfect, is more substantial also. Again, good upgrade, if you are not wanting to move to a leather sheath.

My old sheath was worn out, the velcro gave out. It had a good life, no wait a second, it had a GREAT life!! The new one is so much tighter than the old one that it actually holds my multi-tool as it should. Do I have complaints about my old sheath, NO, it had a good life. I love my leatherman and it has taken good care of me, I wear it everywhere I go. I debated on a leather sheath but finally decided on the nylon one. The only real difference I see that some might not like is that the bottom is a solid piece. The original one had an opening to allow you to put the Wave into it if it was est up for the pliers. I used this only 2 times over the years so no big deal no to have it for me.The Snap is so much more secure then the velcro.Taks a little bit to get used to at first but it comes quiclkly.

This will now be the third case I've owned for my Charge TTi multi-tool, the first being the premium leather one, and the second being the older version of the nylon sheath with Velcro closure. Wearing this every day, it is already holding up MUCH better than my previous sheaths. I'm perfectly fine with the additional cost of this sheath over the other ones as I feel it will really last. The button-closure isn't difficult to open, but I definitely have to wear it in some more. The only reason for four stars is the lack of a slot in the bottom allowing me to leave the tool opened in pliers mode. Otherwise it is a great belt sheath for your Leatherman, made directly from the manufacturer!

Original Leatherman case was the velcro type, which of course loses effectiveness as the velcro gets worn or stuck with debris, so the snap is nice and works well. However it was very disappointing that there is only a single side pocket, and not two side pockets as expected. Apparently an inner flat pocket, which isn't really useful, is counted as the second pocket. Would have been far more useful to have two side elastic pockets. The outside pocket is also on the wrong side, so items (generally special scissors used by the wearer) tend to get jostled out as one sits up/down or gets in/out of vehicle. If the holster had two elastic side pocket loops, it would have been perfect.

I spent like $140 bucks or so on a Surge complete with tools. I get a pouch that will not hold all of these tools & even wrote Leatherman about the short coming. I was told they forwarded my email to their design team. A lot of good that did me!Guess what? Leatherman makes a pouch that does just that. This is it. It has pockets on both sides (front & back) so you can get the little flat tool holders to slide in with the saw blade & file. It's bulky for sure but, I think the sacrific is worth it. If your in a pinch, it is the best all around tool for the job.If I could figure out a way to give 5 stars for the pouch & -1 for their handling (&me feeling short changed) I would.

Got this for my Wave+. Plenty of room for the extra bits, I use that storage pocket for papers, and I love the side pockets. The larger side pocket is perfect for my Fenix LD02 flashlight. Slide the flashlight pocket clip into the sheath sleeve and it won't catch on anything. The smaller sleeve on the other side is perfect for my glass bat.I have both the 4" and 4.5" nylon sheaths. I own the bit set, but don't carry it. If you are like me and don't use the bit set, and you own the Surge, you may prefer to use the 4" sheath for the 4.5" Surge, it will be a nice snug fit, but no room extras, like the bit set.

This appears to have the same great craftsmanship as other Leatherman products. Unfortunately, while I appreciate the switch to a snap instead of the old Velcro (which wore out and is why I'm in need of a new sheath) they didn't take into account the additional size added when you insert a bit-kit into the sheath. (For which there is a slot) The extra half-inch or so the bit-kit adds means you can't fasten the snap. I'm sure this works great for either a smaller Leatherman or without the bit kit, but I'm returning this and will be getting the 4.5" version instead to accommodate my bit kit.

This pouch enables me to carry a multitool/knife, a ferrorod, and a pen or a thin barrel flashlight on my belt where the weight goes unnoticed and my pockets aren't weighed down. I really like the metal rivet snap. It is so much better than the button snaps used by some manufacturers and more reliable than velcro systems over time. Another thing I like is that it is not made of the stiff 1000D nylon. The only negative thing I have to say is that it does tend to slide around on my belt, but since that slide is minimized by the belt loops on my jeans, it's not a real problem.

Theres an inside pocket where the belt attaches. (2) Two Strong elastic side loops...mine holds a SS Zippo refuel canister on one side 1/2" and a 5/16" Uberleben Ferro rod on the other side. Snap holds securely and pouch fits my Leatherman Wave. Solidly sewn and tough fabric. Belt loop is tight and secure so it won't flop and droop on the belt. Inside pouch pocket is small but holds my Zippo Flint case and extra Ferro rod striker....its tight but I think that's what you'd want so it stays secure in the pouch. Definate upgrade here and worth the $$$ to buy.

My husband uses his leather man everyday. We have tried repairing the one that came with leather man many times. After years of use and always being at his side it just gave up. He was upset cause carrying his leather man is like carrying a part of him to work everyday. I got on Amazon knowing I would find just what he needed. It showed up within a few days. Husband very happy and back to normal. The best part is, I got to be the hero by just getting online. Within a few minutes it was on the way. Thanks Amazon ps price was just right!

I bought this specifically to carry a second SAK Champion Plus knife, a 4" firesteel, a small flashlight, and some tinder. The flashlight and firesteel goes in the outside loops, some Tinder-Quik goes in the internal pocket, and a tab of Wetfire goes under the knife itself in the main pouch. The good on the new one - snap closure so more secure. The bad on the new one is slightly less flexibility in carrying the load due to the snap vs. the previous model's velcro closure. All in all, a great solution for my needs.

This sheath is WAY better than the old Velcro nylon sheath that I wore out in less than a year of daily carry. I noticed the old Velcro style kept snagging on my shirts, but this one doesn't! It's very quick, easy and QUIET to open and close this sheath! I can't say enough about how much I love this thing (and my Leatherman Wave inside it)!For reference, I carry a black Leatherman Wave with only one of the bit holders, not both. This all fits nicely in the sheath.I definitely recommend this!

Finally Leatherman makes an outstanding sheath for my charge. I only carry one tool kit insert, I could see how the 2nd one would be very tight that some others brought up, but I much prefer it as built. One of the outside elastic loops is bigger than the other, making it a perfect fit for the bit extender on the small loop and my AAA battery powered flashlight on the bigger loop side. Thank you Leatherman for finally getting it right!

I was able to fit the Skeletool CX, a AAA GearLite, the bit driver and two sets of bits into mine. Flap snaps shut snugly, and the whole package is rather compact. Perfect for the Skeletool and the accessories I most want handy. It's nylon, so eventually it will start to fray, but until i find something more durable, this will do for most 'round the house stuff i'll need.
