I bought this so I could carry a tiny multitool for very light jobs, without falling foul of Ireland's vague knife laws. I like it a lot, but it was very expensive for what it is. I've still given it 5 stars (credit where it's due), but it's not an essential item at all.I keep this in my pocket all the time (except on flights). I use the bottle opener any time I'm opening a beer, it's a decent opener and doubles as a clip to attach to a keyring/belt loop etc.The scissors are good. They're stronger than on the Vic SD Classic, although I slightly prefer the Vic scissors for detail work/nail clipping. The tweezers is better than on the Vic, although I've taken it out and put in a toothpick from a Vic SD Classic, which fits perfectly.Given that the pliers are tiny, they're quite useful for light jobs. I've used them to pick things up, tighten loose bolts, pull splinters, twist wires while soldering, remove fish hooks, etc. They're useful for that sort of thing, but don't think they're real pliers. You're not going to be working on a car engine with one of these. One downside with the pliers is that they don't meet at a flat point, the meeting point is actually quite sharp. For example, if you grip a sheet of paper with these, you end up with a small, neat cut in the paper where the jaws met. So they're not much use as tweezers for things like stray hairs etc as they tend to snip them before you can pull them.I've used the wire cutters to cut electrical wire, which they did with no bother. I'm a guitarist, I've used them to trim guitar strings onstage. They work, but the thicker strings dinged the cutters ever-so-slightly at the point of contact. I won't be using them on bass strings. Keeping a €2 snips in my guitar case is a better option.I like the file better than the Vic SD Classic one. It's a lot thinner, though, and has a lot more flex to it. I wouldn't use it to drive screws too hard, I wonder how much it can twist before it snaps.I've given it 5 stars because, for what it is, it's great. It is, however, very expensive.

This is a dinky and handy little thing but BE WARNED. The TSA might be happy with it but the Australians are made of more flimsy stuff. Although this made it into and out of the UK, Singapore, several internal flights in Australia and the Australian Parliament building, the outsouced quasi-TSA airport goons at Sydney international airport decreed it an unacceptable danger to aviation and stole it from me. They pointed at the (microscopic) scissors and the (equally shrunken) pliers as evidence of the imminent threat. They disregarded the fact that the TSA, universally seen as the most absurd and authoritarian of all the airport goons, were happy to let it through. They showed me a card of allowed items (this card is a secret, though, and they wouldn't let me take a picture of it) and because this wasn't on it they wouldn't let me take it.So beware. The Australians outsource this work to private contractors and nobody from the Australian Department of Transport is there at the airport to oversee or make decisions, so if you take this through the airport in your hand baggage they will steal it from you.

For what is is, a miniature tool, it's a fu gadget. The pliers aren't at all bad, the build quality feels good. It's for those people who want to have a mini tool but are absolutely not able to carry a knife- like a school teacher. You can use the scissor blade in a pinch to cut sellotape on packages etc

A fantastic pocket tool that can be taken on a plane (and I have!) has everything you could need except the knife but the scissors help to make up for that. Be aware that it is very easy for the clip to detach from a key ring.

Bought for an edc kit that is airport friendly.Don't always need a knife and this little tool does the job. All the tools seem adequate and it seems well built. No complaints so far.

Complements my Swiss army knife, but it would be nice if Amazon. Co. UK would also stock the Gerber Dime Travel! This would also complement the Swiss army knife.

Leatherman, as always very good quality, comes with 25 year warranty. A very handy tool to have on your key-ring.
