A lovely little small-form-factor flash drive with the genuine bonus of being future-proof. It works in old-style rectangular USB slots you still find on computers, laptops, TVs etc, but it also has the new-style 'USB-C' connector for more modern devices and smartphones that have USB-C slots. Let's just say you'll probably wear it out before it becomes obsolete! The USB end is kind of left to fend for itself, but the much smaller, more delicate USB-C end has a plastic cap that clips nicely onto it, protecting it from harm. The thing is literally the size of a fat thumbnail so it's very portable too. On that note, I carry mine around in my bag and keep all my offline music and TV/films on it.It really is as simple as plugging the USB-C end into my phone, then my phone recognises it and brings up a file manager that lets me browse the contents of the drive and play my chosen music or video. Great for those times when your phone is low on storage, or your data allowance is running low or perhaps you have no signal.Anyway. All in all, a great little future-proof investment that I get a lot of use from, and which I highly recommend.

Quite a nifty little thing indeed. It is quite small and portable but there are a few niggling things that I personally did not like.1. The dust cover can only cover the usb c connector of the memory stick. Personally when viewing this i thought it would be able to flip oer and cover the USB connector if the usb c connector was in use - not the case. Would have preferred if the connector covered both or there was a plastic bit supplied for each end.2. It is rather small and an ideal size to put on a key ring. However there is no where you can attach your key rings or a lanyard to. Bit disappointing as some of the comments mentioned a small hole that could make it possible. I do not wear glasses, and thoght my eyesight was rather good - however There is no way these can be attached. The drive itself does what it says on the tin. I had to personally re format it to enable usage on a mac properly. It came pre formated on FAT32. With the latest operating system one has to reformat it so that files over 4gb can be transferred over. Not a tough process at all but just worth knowing about.

This product is genius. I've recently purchased a laptop that has only usb c ports and my work will be around this laptop and other devices nearby, which means that I will need to find a way to transfer data between different devices all the time. Having that in mind I also want something that is fast and reliable, so when I saw the name Kingston I was definitely satisfied. This flash drive is so small that I never even know I have It, its attached to my keys so its always with me - not hassle. The price is amazing too, especially for the fact that this is a dual connection type. Now the most important thing was the compatibility between different operating systems, this device comes as standard with FAT32,meaning that it can read and write on both Mac OS and Windows OS. Its a great product and great buy.

It's very handy that this drive has both a USB C and a regular usb end, but I have personally found that the read and write speeds for this drive aren't great, especially considering it is a usb 3.1 device. In my experience, read speeds have been about 75MBps and write between 7-12MBps. As such, this isn't a great device if you want super speedy transfers. However, it still works perfectly well as a usb drive, and the USB C end allows me to use it with my phone, or even a laptop without regular usb ports without the use of a dongle. The drive is very small and portable, feels well constructed and durable, and I have no doubts that it will last a while if I don't lose it.Overall it functions as expected for the price, but if you're in need of fast transfers you might have to go with full sized USB.

Fantastic little drive. It was immediately recognised by my Nexus 6p, and allowed me to play a large video file off (10gb, give or take) it with no stuttering. The only thing it doesn't come with is a way of clipping it to something, but does come with a loop for attaching that 'thing' to if you can think of something. I used a little nylon loop -- the type that comes on those tacky phone charm things, which worked perfectly. The 'standard' USB end allowed very fast transfer speeds on my Macbook Pro.Very small, fast and nice item.

The dual design of this device is very useful. The standard USB and Type C both access the same storage, allowing for the easy transfer of files between devices. Invaluable for someone with an ultrabook thin on ports. The plastic case protects the Type C end of the device, and flips up when in use. A ridge on the body keeps it flipped up when needed, a nice touch. The case has a loose fit, but this feels purposeful and robust. It is easy to open and close. The device is USB 3.1, so r/w performance is decent.

I use this for my Nexus 6p and have it on my keychain. This little thing is perfect as it essentially gives me an extra 64gb with my phone which can sometimes get packed up with a lot of media causing it to not have space for the extra music, videos and pictures I want to have with me all the time. Unlike cloud storage this doesn't require me to access the internet so it is very convenient and multifunctional - great product hence the 5 star review

5 Stars for the effort of doing this for the new one port MacBook. I have not had it for long, but it is a God-send for this computer in terms of storage and, more importantly, file transfer from other machines. It will have similar utility as other machines make use of the Type C USB interface. Only problem is that it is so small that it is in danger of going the way of biros, umbrellas, and sunglasses. At least it has a lanyard attachment.

Great little memory stick, works with my nexus 5x and with my PC, Make sure if you are using it accros devices such as windows and androids that you use FAT32 file system as there seems to be an issue with NTFS. this is not a memory stick issue rather than an OS issue on androids.the only draw back is the cover for the usb c connector. its a little flimsy.

Works flawlessly, Read and Write speeds are very fast and it works seamlessly from my Computer to my Nexus 6P. I'm able to easily transfer big files from my computer to the USB and access them from the USB on my phone without having to put the files on my phone. Very pleased considering the price when compared to other USB 3.0/3.1c sticks of this tier.

Tiny, very fast and incredibly versatile, this has been a great purchase for my 2017 MacBook Pro. However, the tiny loophole for attaching to a keyring is too small to fit on all bit the smallest ring. The flimsy plastic cover only protects one side, and has 'popped off' a number of times too.So nearly the perfect memory stick... but not quite.

Kingston has always been up to my expectations and now that I needed a USB C Dual OTG drive, I was happy to select it.Very nice priced, small size (this might be a drawback as well though as you can easily lose it), It is recognized from both PC and My mobile immediately.Amazing way to release some space on my device.I Definitely recommend.

I have been using the DataTraveler for a few weeks now and it has performed as expected, read/write speeds are decent too, at this price point you really can't complain.I bought this to transfer files to and from my Nexus 6P, and with StickMount (not strictly required) installed it works flawlessly.

1.3.2016

Works well with my Nexus 5X. I can easily store large files that I don't need to access often on it. Or use it to transfer files from other PCs to my phone. Fast and compact. I just have to be careful how to store it because it is really tiny!
