The set comes with two alternative connectors to your phone - easy to choose the right one as it'll be the only one that fits your phone. The set also comes with a power booster that can be fitted between the connector to your phone and the USB cable. There are no instructions about how to determine if you should use it or not though. I looked at the power ouput of the phones normal mains charger and compared it to the deatils on the power booster. The power booster takes an input of 5VDC, 800mA so this must be what comes straight from the USB if you do not use the power booster. It has a output of 6VDC, 380mA.My mains charger has an ouput of 5VDC,850mA so I chose not to use the power booster and take the USB feed direct. The phone charges but not at the same rate as using my mains adapter. It is much smaller and easier to carry around than the mains charger and of course I can charge it from just about any PC (normally my laptop). This is really useful when travelling around on business - less luggage, no mains adapter needed for the foreign sockets (I use a Kensington notebook power adapter as well which is lighter than the regular adpater my laptop comes with and includes plugs to fit UK and a European standard plug)The kit incudes a USB lead which you will need as connecting directly to the USB port is likely to be difficult unless your lucky but also because it means you can have your phone charging whilst using it. The included lead is on a spring loaded spool making it easier to carry around. Any USB extension lead would be OK though.I rate only at 3 star due to the slower charge rate and the lack of instructions about the power booster. FYI my phone is a Nokia 6233.

It does what it says on the box- tips are interchangeable with other Kensington USB cables. Unfortunately a 5V to 6V conversion block is required for Nokia phones. The one supplied is quite big and clunky given the size of the cable- hence only three stars.
