As someone who's sampled most of the Johnnie Walker range over the years I'm still more than happy to lend my weight to this Gold Label NAS.I grew up with Johnnie Walker having age statements on all their range, only for them to remove them all during most of my whisky drinking years. They've recently done a bit of a u-turn and brought the age statements back across the range, even reintroducing the long lost Green Label in the process. For anyone a little confused by it all I'll do a quick summary: To put 18 on the bottle, every whisky in the blend must have been aged at least 18 years, or I guess it could be blended and then aged 18 years. In practice most blenders prefer to use some younger whiskies for the subtle balance they give,

So I ordered a bottle of this because I loved it the last time. The major problems I've had with this is that nobody was notified of it arriving, the app didn't notify me that the item had arrived (I have shipping tracking on at all times) and I did NOT digitally sign for the item to confirm its arrival and nobody else was on the premises to co-sign for it. Luckily the item in question arrived in a good condition but for a driver to leave it OUTSIDE IN THE OPEN and not somewhere safe and out of view is astounding. Driver standards have really slipped since the holidays have finished.

This whisky builds up on the base of flavours laid down in its Black Label and Double Black siblings but the balance of flavours is more refined and the smokiness more subtle.The overtones are classic Talisker all the way but there is a sweet floral quality screaming honey that the Talisker doesn't have, and the finish is smoother here too.

Despite being a bit of a taboo for whisky experts, Gold Label is a very smooth and enjoyable blend. If you just want something nice to drink without the fuss and pomposity, then this is a good start. If you'd like to try something a bit better still from the Johnnie Walker range (but not over priced) then go for the Green Label.

My favourite Blended Whiskey. Johnny Walker Black was my favorite Whiskey for a long time, but have now tried this one, and it's absolutely, without a doubt my favourite. A very nice one on it's own, without water, ice, or anything else, and has a smooth finish. Nice and sweet too.

On about my 5th bottle of this after coming across it in an Amazon sale some while back, this has got to be my favourite "blended" Whisky at the moment, always a pleasure to sip on. Plenty of Whisky "heat" but not overly harsh, fairly pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I brought this as a present for a friend. Sadly they do not live close enough that i got to enjoy a glass of this with them. So sadly i can't comment first hand on the taste. However they did tell me it went down a treat and they really enjoyed it.

I brought this for my brother. Arrived very quickly, sooner than I had expected. He loves the taste as he normally drinks the double black and this is his "special occasion" drink and would recommend as a gift or for that special drink

Love this gold label, always likes Johnnie Walker.Had all the labels except this and had blue label I wasn't sure if I would like this but it's really good.I would recommend if someone is after great blended scotch!

Speedy delivery great whiskey outer box was damaged if item was a gift would of effected presentation. But as was for personal use im happy amazing price makes up for damage cardboard.

Another very nice Johnny walker. Preferring this to Black at the moment.TBH the only JW I'm not getting on with is the Double Black which has too much smokiness for my taste...

Gold is not the best in the line according the price but I liked to be in my collection. It is coming in original box with original label. The perfect gift for JW whisky lovers.

Agood smooth drink that most whisky drinkers should enjoy.We have bought most of the Johnnie Walkers whisky's now ann have liker all of them especially the more expensive ones.

I am not a whisky connoiseur but my brother is and he was most impressed with his xmas present this year. I got this for half the price I normally pay, Oh I do love a bargain.

Nice enough scotch for a johnnie walker. Fairly smooth with a good rounded taste. Smokey on the taste, bordering on too much for my liking. But not bad for a lightning deal.
