I bought this after experiencing severe lag whilst playing Super Smash Brothers Ultimate online with several friends living fairly close to me.Short story: It fixed the lag.*You may need to go into your settings and select "Wired Connection" while the Switch is docked.More details:My router supports 802.11ac and I have fibre internet. The router achieves around 400-700Mbps via WLAN depending on the device connected, and there are approximately 10 devices connected wirelessly. The router is capable of 1Gbps on a wired connection using a Cat5e or above cable.The Switch is connected using the 5GHz band when on wireless.The connection test via the Switch reports the same internet download/upload speed for wired and wireless.

Bought a cheaper USB to LAN adapter for my Switch which was incompatible with it causing a bit of frustration, especially with the length of the cable being unable to fit inside the back of the Dock.This Adapter, however, is designed especially for the Switch so it fits comfortably in the back of the Dock and required no further setup once it was plugged in really.Online play feels a lot smoother now and Download speeds have increased significantly (as to be expected of a wired connection) so I couldn't recommend this adapter enough!

I've been using a 5Ghz wifi connection since the switch came out but upgraded to ethernet for docked play, so far I can tell you that the connection quality in dragon ball fighterz feels better.This is the only real reason why I bought this, my download speeds are the same and i'm still on wifi in portable mode I just wanted a wired connection for fighting games so it was worth a purchase for my needs.4/5 because for the price £25 is a little steep for a wired connection, only but one if you really need it.

Bought this because I live in student housing and can't do P2P activities on the WiFi there on my Switch Lite. Works just fine with a USB to USB-C adaptor into the switch's charging port. I tried a non-Nintendo adaptor before and it didn't work, but this does the trick! Perhaps a little expensive for what it is, and I'm not able to charge my Switch while using it, but it's the only solution to my internet issues at the moment!

Easy to plug in but wasn’t aware that Nintendo caps Upload and Download speeds for wired connections. My internet is generally more stable with a wired connection and makes playing more internet intensive games better with less connection loss but it is not totally superior to a stable wireless connection.

Moved my Switch from the living room to the bedroom so this in tandem with a powerline adapter and my connection is flawless.Worked first time straight out of the box, did not even have to change any settings on the Switch, it just instantly recognised I was connected via LAN as soon as I powered it on.

I have a Nintendo Switch I thought I would try this as WIFi speed is bad normally I get 4MB tried today and getting 19.7MB speed connected the LAN adapter now getting 51.7MB still not as fast as it should be but a lot faster than just using WIFI even the upload speed is double the speed.

Works well for super smash bros. I now rarely run into lag while playing. Installation was simple, just plug it in and it instantly noticed it was a wired connection. I had used other lan adapters before but they didn't work, this worked perfectly the first time.

Very expensive, hence 4 stars. But works well, top speed using fiber optics. I originally bought a generic LAN adapter and it did not work on my switch or ps4, this does, but should be £15. £26 is a rip off but i needed it for Splatoon 2 demo.

Easy to setup and the Switch console instantly recognised the device. Connection is consistent and solid but otherwise no speed increase over the previous wifi connection. Purchase with caution if hoping or expecting dramatic speed increases.

Definite buy if you play yr switch at home and play online games like splatoon, never had a disconnect while playing splatoon 2 since I got it, where use to get disconnects odd times during week due to the switches rubbish WiFi capabilities

Fantastic fast delivery and just what I needed for super smash brothers new game, internet was dropping out and this has fixed the problem so well. Ordered by 10am here by 7pm how fast was that fantastic saved the day thank you !

Essential for playing online beat em Ups like streetfighter to cut down on lag. Wifi connection on games suc h as Mario kart and Arms can lead to issues online - get a connector and get a smoother more stable connection.

Got for monster hunter rise makes online buttery smooth highly recommend for people who like to play online games such as smash and monster hunter makes the game a better experience for you and your fellow players.

After wasting £15 on an incompatible adapter. I got this one my speed has gone up from 8mbs to 34.9mbs. The only game I play regularly online is Fortnite. I used to get so much lag but now I get almost none .
