If you want to buy this product, bear in mind it’s a cheaper wired controller compared to a £60 Pro controller. So you’re missing out on rumble, motion controls and NFC to read Amiibo. The controller feels great in my pretty large hands (a bit light for my taste but otherwise good). The sticks are very large, so you need to get used to that, but they work well, and I haven’t had any drifting issues with them over time. Buttons feel good, the shoulder buttons are good and the dpad works well too. Now obviously this feels cheaper to a pro controller but for the price it’s a great buy. If you need multiple controllers it’s a great option, without having to spend £60 per pro controller. But to be clear I wouldn’t use this as my primary controller when there’s an option of a pro controller.Overall it’s a great controller though. I really like Power A overall because they make the best third party switch controllers.

Speaking as somebody quite fussy, this is a lovely little controller. Provided you don't need rumble, gyroscope or wireless controls it's near identical to Microsoft's excellent 360 controller which is one of the best on the market. Its very light and the buttons are clicky but it doesn't have the 'cheap' feel of third party alternatives. Excellent responsiveness, no lag, good d-pad, smooth analogue sticks and the 10 foot cable should be more than enough for anybody wanting to play from the sofa. Highly recommended and I'll be purchasing another.

I recently reserved this controller as i needed a second one to do split screen multiplayer and so far i have no complaints. The controller itself came in perfect condition with a long enough cable (which can be tied if you dont require the full length). It worked straight away and has a generally comfortable, easy use.Argos provided great service- i received an email saying it was ready for collection almost instantly. I would most likely buy another in the foreseeable future.

After experiencing multiple issues with the Nintendo JoyCons, including the dreaded drifting, I bought my son one of these in the hope it would be more durable. It works great and doesn't need charging all that often despite his heavy usage, we've had no issues with drifting or syncing. The only downside is portability, you can still use the switch undocked but you need to prop it up to play with the controller, but works great when playing on the TV, much better than the JoyCons

The Power A controller is big in the hand yet feels right. This controller is mainly used for games like Rocket League and Mario Kart and performs as well, if not better, than the joy-con. The controller is wired so only works with the Switch in docked mode. The cable is easily 10ft long. Lack of a rumble feature which is strange at first but the kids didn't take long to get round this. The controller is fantastically priced and the lack of rumble is a small sacrifice.

This controller works perfectly. It’s a wired controller but the connection lead is really long so it doesn’t feel like it’s stretched constantly.Had no issues with reaction time and all buttons work well. The blue one shows fingerprints (to be expected with the finish) but the printed controllers show none of that, and the quality of the print looks great! If you’re wanting a full controller but aren’t bothered about it having a wired connection I would go for these

Wow! for the money this is a great controller. It can be used wireless and I didnt realise when we bought it. My son's Switch is 2.5 years old, and we took insurance out when we bought it. The salesman said that the controllers sometimes have issues as they are so small and well used. So we did. Well we had to post them to repairs and I got this controller to replace them while being repaired. The controller works great, only down side is no vibration.

NOTE: This review is written on the basis that this item was £8.99 at the time of purchase. The price appears to have more than doubled since, and I would not consider it good value for money at this new price.Nothing fancy, but a decent controller for the money. I could see maybe a bit of texture on the sticks, or some slightly better action on the shoulder buttons, but overall, works fine (on Windows too) and feels nice and solid for the money.

Ordered this as my hands were cramping up while playing Splatoon 2 after extended periods of time. I love it! I hardly played my Switch in docked mode and now I do nothing but. The controller design is sleek and cool, and I love the gold d pad. As it doesn't have an internal battery, it makes it quite light compared to most contempory controllers. I also love the headphone jack, which allows more immersive gaming. Would totally recommend.

It’s exactly what you’d expect, it’s a fine controller and responsive enough when you either need an extra pad for having people round or need to charge your joycons. It’s not a pro controller, definitely but it doesn’t feel like cheap crap. One issue, don’t play it on a sunny day, the lovely gold paint is so reflective that if the big star aliens at the right angle you’ll lose at smash because you keep blinding yourself.

Exactly as my title says, instantly satisfying and makes the prospect of using the joy cons together a real struggle to think about. this is a great little controller. Sure, it's not the quality of the pro controller or the PS4 or Xbox controllers, but these controllers work and are really rugged. Have been dropped (kids) and they work perfectly. I have the Yoshi and the Donkey Kong variants. Both look attractive.

Bought this as joycons were drifting. Wire reaches right across the room so you can be at a comfortable distance from the screen. Simple to use, just plug it into switch docking station and your sorted, no need for any set up. No rumble but still works fine with games that normally have rumble feature. Overall super convenient and actually more comfortable than joycons when using over a long period of time.

Heard this was on offer at anyway price and. They had plenty of stock near me. Saw the item at 11am and I had it in my hands as an click and collect 30 mins later - after finishing my cofffee. The controller has great feedback and looks thempart and is for me desirable as Zelda is one of my top games. Overall the controller and the excellent service went towards a great buy cheers Argos

Great pad for those not wanting to pay 70 dollar for a pro controller but want a traditional gaming pad for long stints. Brilliant design, art work is class and buttons feel decent enough. This is a wired pad but the micro USB cable is more than long enough to compensate for it.No rumble or motion controls but at this price I really can't complain.Great product, highly recommended!

There's no 'out of the box' way to use this joypad with the switch 'uncdocked'.The cable supplied only plugs into the Switch dock. You can, however, buy a USB2 to micro USB cable from Amazon / wherever and it will then work just fine.Should really be included in the box, but given the price, it's not a deal breaker.Overall very happy with it.
