I found this controller to be more comfortable than the 2xJoycon in the grip included with a switch and highly responsive overall. If you can't afford a pro-controller this will do 95% of the job and is about half the price!I was going to give this 4 stars because it's not a pro-controller but considering it is about half the price and does nearly everything the same to a high standard I can't help but recommend this with 5 stars. Yes its technically inferior to the pro-controller but the lack of 2 features (Rumble and NFC) don't effect its performance for playing games, plus you could get 2 of these for the same price as 1 pro-controller.Pros:Economic - you can get 2 of these (the Zelda ones were cheaper)for the price of a Pro Controller. (If money is a big factor you can get a wired/USB controller for about £25)Wireless - runs on 2xAA batteries and lasts 30 hoursComfort - Much more comfortable than the 2x joycons in the grip, the +,-, home and snapshot buttons are slightly raised compared to the pro controller which makes them easier to use in my opinion. The pro-controller's buttons have a different profile (slightly more sunken in) so your preference may vary too.Appearance - available in a variety of styles, the zelda one is particularly nice. Some of the USB versions aren't available in wireless and vice-versa. In contrast the pro-controller is just available in black.Cons:Weight - comparable to the 2x joycons but a lot lighter than the pro controller, could feel a bit flimsy although it seems robust enough. I suspect the weight difference is mainly due to lack of rumble motors.Ergonomics - Not as 'grippy' as the pro controller. The case is all moulded plastic compared to the pro controllers rubberised grips. I've not had any problems but your mileage may vary.Features - No rumble or NFC (this keeps the cost down though) I suspect the lack of rumble also keeps the weight down too.Responsive - the controller is highly responsive to inputs, however having used a pro-controller as well it feels a bit more precise with the analogue sticks than the A-power one.Overall: I'd prefer if it was a little heavier feeling

So I bought this prior to getting a pro controller and my immediate thoughts taking it out of the box were hmm it feels a bit light and the triggers are a bit wobbly but needs must and all that. Having used it for a good few weeks now though I've really grown to quite like it. The paddles on the back make it very hard to go back to a normal controller because they're just so useful. Playing Xenoblade and Astral Chain are much easier as they require a lot of use of the D pad and it's a god send being able to map it to the back buttons because you can be so much more mobile and perform to a higher standard than you would otherwise fumbling around with the dpad. Now I know you can remap the buttonson your pro controller but it's not the same and means messing around with the default button layout which could be a headache if someone else wants to play after you.The one thing I do wish the pad had was rumble but tbh after having bought an actual switch controller I wasn't really blown away by the rumble and the trade off of sacrificing rumble for having better control in games feels worthwhile.Another nagtive point is the fact it runs off double A batteries and can't be recharged otherwise I'd probably give it 5 stars for the money. The finish is really nice too and The Witcher aesthetic looks great. All in all its a solid controller. I don't know how much hammer it'd take from a kid or if you're rough with your controllers but for general use it should last fairly well.Highly recommended if you can get over it's short comings although it might make you struggle to go back to a pad without back buttons.

PowerA Enhanced wireless controller for Nintendo SwitchAs an owner of both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite I wanted to save myself problems with Joy Con drift and looked for a wireless controller, which would allow me to play on them in a hassle free way.PowerA Enchanced wireless controller for Nintendo Switch is a decent alternative to official Nintendo Switch wireless controller. It is cheaper, although well built. The quality of plastic used is good, a shape is well designed and even longer sessions with Switch are not problematic anymore. What’s more, it is still marked with “Official Nintendo Licensed Product” mark, what guarantees 100% compatibility. The controller works great with Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, although usage of Pro controller needs to be activated in Switch menus to be able to use it.The controller uses 2x AA batteries (or rechargable batteries) and allows for many hours of play without recharging/replacing batteries. All of the above for even a half of price of official controller when you hunt a proper bargain.I can recommend this product to anyone looking for a Switch controller.

So I picked this controller up for £28. By comparison the offical Nintendo controller was £48 at the same time. That's a whooping £20 more. The controller feels nice in the palm of your hands and it feels a good weight in your hands when the batteries are in.Unlike a lot of reviewers I absolutely love the fact it takes AA batteries. I can use my own rechargeable and know I'm not dependent on a built in one.Thumb sticks are very xboxy so good if you are used to that system. Sure, the buttons are a little clunky and not as smooth as an official controller but they are still just as responsive. There is no rumble but again,it's a big price difference.I'm very happy with this controller and would buy it over over third party controllers which are often weirdy branded and unreliable. I'm happy using this controller for any game :-)

I bought one of these for a Switch I use at home to play games like Zelda and Diablo.Having kids, I decided I needed an extra controller for the kids. These new controllers are much cheaper than the PRO controller, so I thought I would give it a go.Build Quality***************Its OK, but not as good as a PRO controller, feels plasticy, buttons feel cheaper. In Use*******Played Diablo for a whole day with it, my fingers on the joystick on the left for moving means my finger hurt after a while, its uncomfy for extended play :( A real issue if you play games a lot.No recharging either, its AA batteries onlySo Its OK as a controller, but for a slight bit more the PRO controller offers, more comfort, rechargeable, built in rumble, built in AMIBOO reader, and in my opinion significantly better build quality

Unfortunately, this controller comes with a few cons. To begin with the weight is far too light. It almost feels like there's nothing at all inside, which for some bizarre reason doesn't feel comfortable. Secondly there is no rechargable batteries contained in the controller; a feature of most modern controllers these days. Even if some do die after a few hours of play. Lastly there is no vibration. Now this is a big issue for the game it's been skinned to be paired with. Fishing in animal crossing requires you to feel the vibration to get it right. When there isn't any it increases the difficulty level exponentially.Hopefully Power A move to just add more to the controllers then a pretty skinas otherwise they are a great controller company.

It’s a cheap feeling controller. I personally don’t mind because i’m not an intense player, and it works for the amount of time i play as well as the type of games i play. It is wireless but it does require two AA batteries which is fine, just not the most optimal. The buttons are quite clicky and loud, they feel good but aren’t as smooth and quiet as the actual pro controller. The R and L buttons rattle if you shake the controller, so if you’re playing something that utilizes the motion of the controller it can be annoying to hear the rattling when you shake it. Overall it’s an OK controller, it’s cute and it works, but if you’re looking for something that feels expensive and well made you’re better off skipping this one!

I bought this when it is discounted to £23, and for that price this is a very good controller as it is an officially licensed wireless controller and can also wake the switch from sleep. However, at its normal price of £40 the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ is a better deal. While the 8bitdo controller isn't officially licensed, its build quality is very good and it has rumble (not hd) and motion control. It can also connect to other platforms like PC and Android. The only reason you would want this over the 8bitdo controller is the ability to wake up the switch from sleep, and in that case just go with the official pro controller which comes with hd rumble, motion control and amiibo support.

I've had problems with "aftermarket" or "third party" controllers in the past, so I was very sceptical about this purchase, but I've been using this pro controller for about two weeks now and my only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner! So far, I've experienced no drift at all, pairing the controller was easy as pie, and all of the buttons & joysticks are very responsive. My only criticism is that it takes a single AA battery instead of having a rechargeable internal battery. That being said, I've not had to change the battery once with daily gaming sessions so it's only a minor complaint! :)In my experience, this is definitely a worthwhile purchase.

I got the animal crossing version of this and the plan was to get a pro controller next. But these controllers are great and beautifully designed.I reccormend just buying loads of rechargeable batterys for e eruthing you use, not just this.Because I live my life with rechargeable batterys already its not out the norm to be switching over battarys.Easy to connect and up and hand no problem with distance.I started using controllers when my joycon started drifting. I got it fixed but using a controller definitely takes the strain off. They don't vibrate or have any motion control, so that's definitely something you need to keep in mind.

Power A always deliver on quality and this is no exception. Design is sleek and fits in the hands nicely. Not having rumble doesn't bother me and the weight is lighter than a PS4 or XB1 pad. This is particularly handily if you take your switch out and about a lot and want a proper pad to take with you. Been playing long sessions on the switch lately and can confirm the AA batteries (energiser provided) lasted a good long time before they needed changing. If you are flash with the cash then by all means get a pro controller but this is the perfect alternative

If you have suffered as I have with the original switch controllers and are on your third set of poor quality over priced replacements then this is a must have. More importantly whilst obviously bulkier the ergonomics seem better suited to small hands. I’m buying another! My third set of original switch controllers can stay on the unit for travelling and with the money I save on buying another set I can buy two of these. Downside, batteries and no alternate for separate charging. Rechargeable batteries!

A very lightweight controller with buttons as well as joystick. The wireless feature is practical. Excellent price to quality ratio, less expensive than the switch pro or elite but feels less weighty and sturdy. Make sure your Nintendo Switch is updated to 6.0 or higher so it can sync efficiently. The only small downside my son tells me for him is the lack of the "rumble" feature (which enhances the experience of games such as Super Mario Odyssey). All in all a great controller for the price.

Bought for Christmas for my husband. He asked for a wired controller and I ended up getting this as a surprise. Needless to say he's over the moon with it.Had both sword and shield games and is so impressed with the quality, price and overall value. Usually you find that once you start using these kinds of printed controllers regularly, they start to wear off with the pictures but this is still looking pretty brand new (and it's been used almost every day so far) xThank you

I got this as a gift from my boyfriend and I really love it! ❤? Its beautiful and very comfortable to use, much better than joysticks on the provided grip. ?The timmy and tommy design is good quality, the only downside for some people maybe the missing hd rumble (its a lighter contoller cause of it) & no nfc. What I really like about it is that it wakes up your switch and turns on your tv if docked when you turn on the controller.Great product! ❤?
