♦ Introduction ♦There are two Stealth models available by Turtle Beach: The '600' & '700'; both of which I own.At the time of writing this review, there was a £40 difference between the two.Specifications are very similar with both having the following features:∙ PS4 & PC compatibility.∙ Wireless connection.∙ Variable microphone (flip down).∙ 50mm audio drivers.∙ "Super Human" Hearing. The Stealth 700 has the following extra features:∙ DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround Sound. *1∙ Noise Cancellation.∙ Can connect to Bluetooth devices.*1: Compatible with the original PS4 & PS4 Pro only; this is because the PS4 Slim does not have the required optical output, which is a poor decision on Sony's behalf. On another note, the Stealth 600 has a stereo cable input (cable not included), whereas the 700 does not; this is probably because the 700 has the Bluetooth feature, so Turtle Beach decided not to include it in this model.♦ Box Contents ♦Stealth 600: Headset | Micro USB charging lead | USB Dongle | Instruction Manual.Stealth 700: Headset | Micro USB charging lead | USB Dongle | Optical Lead | Instruction Manual.♦ Set-Up ♦Setting up is very simple, so does not take long to get the headset up and running:Stealth 600: Plug in the USB dongle into the PS4 then hold the power button located on the headset for about 1 second. On the PS4 go to: 'SETTINGS' - 'AUDIO DEVICES' - 'USB DEVICE' - Select the headset model. 'Output to Headphones' - 'All Audio'.Stealth 700: If connecting to the PS4 Slim, the set-up process will be the same as above. Otherwise you will need to also connect the optical cable from the USB dongle to the back of the PS4's 'Optical Out' port, then ensure the priority output is on 'Digital Out' and that 'Dolby Digital 5.1ch' is selected with 'Bitstream (Dolby)'.♦ Comfort & Quality ♦- Comfort:Both headsets exterior are made primarily of plastic; the type used helps make them more lightweight, but certainly does not give them a premium feel at all.In general, both headsets are comfortable, however I actually preferred the Stealth 600 which has a very soft cushion on the earcups and headband; the Stealth 700 has a semi-firm pleather earcups and soft pleather headband.- Usability:Whilst the volume sliders are fairly easy to operate when the headset is being worn, the buttons, however, are hard to find, never mind knowing whether you're about to press the correct one.- Mic Quality:Microphone quality on both are equally FANTASTIC, I cannot complain at all with the quality as it was super clear and crisp, very easy to understand.I like how easy it is to deactivate the microphone, by simply flicking it up and reactivating it by flicking it down.- Audio Quality:In general, the audio quality is very decent with good directional sense on both headsets, good balance of sound and a nice kick of bass. The Stealth 700 does have the advantage of having a bit better audio quality when connected via optical output, otherwise they sound similar in quality.- Superhuman Hearing:Activated on the Stealth 600 by pressing the power button and a designated button on the Stealth 700; the "Super Human" mode supposedly enhances the audio footsteps, but all I noticed was the bass disappearing and the overall audio sounding like garbage... Not a feature I liked, personally.- Noise Cancelling (Stealth 700 only):This mode can be toggled on and off by pressing the power button once the headset is on and definitely does an alright job at cutting down some unwanted ambient noises, but it's nothing to shout about.♦ Final Opinion ♦They're both decent enough headsets, however despite the '700' having more features, I prefer the '600' model.Stealth 600: 4/5 stars.Stealth 700: 3/5 stars.

I have used far cheaper Turtle Beach headphones in the past for use on my PS4 Pro, and they have always been good enough. However, I wanted to get something a bit more special, particularly as I do sometimes spend long periods of time using the PS4. My current TB headphones were only about £25 and whilst they were okay, I found that the sound quality wasn’t that great. So I decided to treat myself to a premium pair of headphones, and I opted for these, as my friend’s teenage son uses them and loves them.My first impressions when I took them out of the box were vary good. The headphones were quite weighty for their size but I guessed that was due to the internal battery and electronics. These not only look neat but they are also vary comfortable. They fit over the ears rather than on them, which is, in my opinion, a lot more comfortable. There’s. A lot of thick padding on the ears and on the underside of the headstrap. When you turn the headphones on out of the box you’ll find that the internal rechargeable battery cells are already charged, and also already paired to the usb dongle that you plug into one of the USB slots of your PS4. So literally, all you have to do is plug the usb dongle into your PS4, put the headphones on and press the power button on the left ear piece. A manly voice tells you “Power on” and immediately you hear the sounds from your PS4. There is a mode button next to the power button which, when quickly pressed, gives you the following mode options:Bass BoostBass and treble boostVocal boostSignature sound (which I guess is the default)Holding the mode button down for a longer press toggles the “Superhuman Hearing” mode on, which enhances even the quietest sounds.A quick press and release of the power button toggles Surround SoundA press and hold of the power button turns the headset on/off.The sound from these headphones is fantastic. The microphone stick that swivels up and down. When you swivel it down you hear a beep, telling you the microphone is live. Unlike my other TB headphones, which only puts the voice of whoever you’re talking to in one ear, on this headset the voice of the caller is in both ears. Swivelling the microphone stick upwards turns the microphone off, and again you’ll hear a beep. The left ear also has two volume controls, one for the sound and one for microphone volume. Just be aware though that if you turn the microphone volume up it also increase the sensitivity, which means you will also start to hear you’re voice in your ears. However, I prefer this as it’s another indicator as to whether your microphone is live or not. I was playing Elite Dangerous today and speaking to my 11-year-old nephew who also plays it. I could hear his little voice quite clearly over the game sounds. However, what I like with the PS4 is that, if you wish, you can go into the console settings and choose to have either “All audio” (game sounds and chat sounds) going into your headphones, or you can have chat only, which plays the game sounds through your TV and the speakers voice into your headphones. So, though these headphones are quite pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. If you are looking at getting your pre-teen/teenage son a pair of good quality headphones for use on his PS4 for gaming purposes, for Christmas or his birthday (or just as a treat as he’s been a good boy xD ) then you won’t go far wrong with these. He’ll be delighted with them.I fully recommend these headphones.

I'm a casual gamer and This was my first pair of gaming headphones. I wanted wireless but didn't want anything cheap but didn't want to go too crazy with the price so I done a little research beforehand and narrowed it down to these or the Astro A50, Chose these in the end.So far so good!Positives- Comfortable - Had a few 4/5 hour sessions with these and not a single issue here. Ear cups are comfortable and there's plenty of adjustment depending on your head size- Good Mic - No issues with the Mic sound and it simply flips out when you want to use it then you can flip it back to mute it or turn it off. Comes in handy for me as the Mrs is constantly trying to shout stupid things down the mic lol. There's also mic feedback (you can hear yourself slightly when you talk) so you're not shouting all the time.- Wireless - works perfectly, takes literally 10 seconds out the box to sync them to your xbox then your good to go. When you switch them on it automatically switches on your Xbox. No issues so far with dropping connection etc (make sure you update the firmware before use, just plug into PC/Mac via usb and download the turtle beach software/app) Range is very good too, I can get up walk around, go into different rooms etc with no connection issues.- Bluetooth - Great feature! Connects to your phone/tablet at the same time so you can listen to music or take calls whilst playing, love it!- Charge time - 3hrs to fully charge it which is good, Recently I've been putting it on charge after each session so not sure what the battery life is like from full to empty judging by the battery gauge 8 hours with bluetooth on seems about right. It can be wired too if battery dies.Negatives- Build quality - Its not bad but could be better for the price. I can easily see these breaking if not properly taken care of. Should have come with a case at this price- Buttons & controls could be better placed - There's buttons & sliders located on the left for the controls but it takes a while to figure out the placement and I find myself turning the chat volume down accidentally instead of the game volume. Will take some getting used to- Sound - They sound good enough but personally I think it could be a little louder. I was expecting more of a deeper bass but the mids and treble are ok nothing special. Bare in mind I've only played ONE game with these so it could vary and I'm used to using good headphones for my music so its the only thing I can compare them to but again I wasn't blown away by the sound as other have said. The presets don't make much difference either. The "super human hearing" setting makes everything sound tinny and weird but I think it would work well with the right game.Active Noise Cancellation - (Activated by tapping the power button) Doesn't make any difference to me, however the headphones do a pretty good job of blocking out sound without it.Overall Thoughts:I'm happy with my decision so far would have given it a 5 if they'd have thrown a case or charging station in! It has pretty much everything you need in a headset at this price point. Bluetooth feature is a game changer, being able to listen to your own music while playing, knowing that you wont be missing any calls, messages or notifications makes for a more chilled out gaming experience. If you're looking for a set of wireless headset I don't think you need anything more than these unless you're a hardcore gamer who wants the best.

UPDATE: There have been a few software updates of both the XBox 1 and these headphones, and they are now pretty stable in use, so I've bumped my review score to 4*, as connection issues was my main gripe with these headphones.ORIGINAL REVIEW BASED ON OLDER SOFTWARE:I really wanted to like this headset, but I honestly can't recommend it. It just does not work well with the XBox One X properly. I've given it a good long test, and updated the firmware to the very latest version, but the problem persists. The problem seems to be some sort of bluetooth drop-out problem, and it means that the sound is interrupted now and then. When using the surround sound mode, I found I got pitch variation too,as though the sound was being played on tape and the tape speed slowed while it was playing. It's really weird to hear from a digital source, and oddly nostalgic for someone like me who has listened to the odd dodgy C90 as a lad. It's a shame, because apart from the fact that it doesn't work as well as it should, it's a really nice headset and does what it says on the box, more often than not. There is some Turtle Beach software you need to install on your PC to set up the headphones, allowing you to boost voice, base, treble, or base and treble. The software is also how you update the firmware of the headphones, which is simple and quick. (A micro USB lead is provided.) The microphone works well, delivering my voice clear and accurately, and with my preferred setting of the bass and treble boosted, the sound delivered is impressively immersive. Big base, clear treble, and a reasonable free surround simulation. Dolby surround is available, but that needs paying for and I'm not that desperate for surround sound on my headphones.Battery life is excellent, though charge time is proportionately lengthy too. In these days of fast-charging phones, the Stealth 700s seem to take a long time to charge. The two dials on the headset, one for microphone and one for headphones are silent in use, no crackling is heard as I adjust them, and the buttons are big and well-marked. The head-band adjustment is a little stiff to adjust, and it seems a bit of a fiddle sometimes to get the adjustment just right. Not a deal-breaker, but not impressive on a premium headset.Working without fault, this is a 4* headset, with 1* being lost on account of the price, but as they don't work without fault, 2* is my score. I don't care whether the Stealth 700 or the XBox is the problem, but right now, they do not work consistently well together and if I had bought this headset, it would be going back to Amazon for a different model or a refund.

The headset does not offer the best in terms of the sound quality, HOWEVER it is very good at sound and in general footstep tracking. In call of duty warzones for example I can hear the direction of bullets and explosions whilst identifying footsteps. For me this is not a headset you would use in a non-competitive setting such as single player games like the witcher and god of war.It is important that I compare this to my previous headset. I had a steelseries pro+gamedac which had much better sound quality, but when playing a game like warzone you could not balance the sounds to be comfortable. This headset had a great deal of settings and I had done great research to ensure I had it optimally setup for the best sound. To be brief this headset lacked the ability to hear everything without one sound overwhelming the others and causing an earbleed. In contrast the Turtle Beach 700 was plug, play and just enjoy. The mic is good enough. I do not seem to have issues when speaking to anybody on pc discord or PS4.The build quality feels a little flimsy, but I think that with me it should last at least 2 years. I will come back and change my review if possible if this is not the case. If you throw your headset or you are clumsy in general then this headset may be too delicate. For the above reasons I can really appreciate this headset, as it is simple and works from the box without any research. The wireless sound works for competitive the best at a decent enough price. There is a reason a lot of streamers are using headsets like this :).The bluetooth works great and I can easily pair to my phone and answer phone calls. I have an issue when using discord on my phone, which can be a bit buggy and friends say that I am a little quite. My microphone use in phone calls have been reported to sound normal. This is a good headset for me to take phone calls and play. I currently use a cheap android phone with this headset. Compatibility may vary for other phone users. The final negative is that I cannot easily connect this to my PS4 and PC at the same time. The cable for the optical out of the playstation to the connect for the USB is extremely short. This means that is I wanted to connect the usb to my pc then it would have to be sat right next to my playstation to get Playstation sound. A minor point as I assume most people will only use this for Playstation or PC.The headset is great for my personal taste in sound. If the sound was not so good for tracking I would have reviewed the headset less for the negative points mentioned above.

Even after reading some of the negative reviews I took the plunge to buy a truly wireless headset for the Xbox One. There is no dongle, syncs directly with the Xbox and you can even connect a Bluetooth device at the same time. The sound quality is amazing, you get a nice deep bass and they work perfectly with Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. The volume and chat volume is controlled by a dial so is a little more precise than using buttons and when at full volume the headset is loud, way more than needed. There is also a Superhuman Hearing function, when switched on the mid-range audio is given a boost making it easier to hear enemy movement. This is a dream for anyone playing Call of Duty of PlayUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you will be able to pinpoint the location of your enemy. You can also adjust the pre-set for the headset via the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app, it’s limited but still nice to have the option. The headset also has active noise cancellation, minimising the amount of background noise you will hear. When turned up you won’t hear anything, coupled with Dolby Atmos you truly get immersed into which ever game you are playing. Not just games though, watching movies through the headset is more immersive than a home surround sound system. The comfort of the headset is one of the best for a gaming headset. The Ear cups are soft rather than being made out of leather and fully enclose your ear. Very comfortable whilst wearing glasses as there is a recessed part that let the glasses arm sink into. All controls are on the headset. You get audio beeps and a voice telling you when the various functions have been activated or deactivated. The microphone flips down to unmute and then flips up to mute, slightly unconventional but it works, its works really well. It’s far easier flipping up the mic than fiddling around trying to find a mute button. So far I’ve had no complaints about the mic quality, team mates can hear me well.So far no connection issues with my headset, you do have to update it straight out of the box. This has to be done via a PC or mac and cannot be done via the app alone.Overall I am very happy with the headset and would recommend this to anyone and im guessing the PS4 version will be equally as good. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a case as it does fall into the premium range. I have found a good case, the headset fits perfectly:

TLDR: Best wireless headset at this price point. Super Human Hearing isn't useful for all games.Firstly, the headset is super easy to set up in terms of connecting it to my PS4, the instructions appear brief but only because it's so simple and can switch between the headset and using your TV sound from your PS4 menu very easily.Secondly, I bought this headset mostly to play Call of Duty Warzone as I was struggling hearing footsteps despite someone being just the other side of a wall, hill, door, etc. and the headset instantly improves this. Not only can I hear that someone's in a house but what floor & what room of that house. However; the super Human Hearing feature, which I thought would give me an advantage, works to a very limited degree in Warzone. Yes it does intensify footstep and gunfire sounds but it's not helpful being able to hear gun fights from a mile away. Plus it instensfies every little sound and once I had gotten the volume where I wanted it on the standard settings, when shifting the noises can be deafening when there's a lot going on. In order to try and hear footsteps of other players you're also competing with: your own footsteps, all the gunfire on the map, planes flying over head, ambient noise (e.g. birds, the wind, etc.), the sound of loot boxes ( which if you're anywhere near one, you won't be able to hear anything else in game), the countdown beeps when the circle is closing, the voiceover, etc. The only time I found it to be useful was at the start of a game when I was still looting inside a quiet house with no loot boxes and I was crouched and heard an enemy across the street and could even tell how close he was and the precise moment he would open the door. However, I feel that had I had the standard settings on, the result would have been fairly similar. With all this being said, I'm still happy with the purchase given the price point in comparison to other wireless headsets with Dolby Surround Sound and it has ultimately fixed the problem I was experiencing with my standard ear phones. Also the option to pay in monthly installments at 0% interest is certainly an added benefit and helped in my decision-making. Just don't expect the super human hearing feature to allow you to run around the map on Warzone being able to isolate people's footsteps in any house at any given moment.

Arrived today. Immediately updated to latest firmware 2.0.2 and checked battery was fully charged (it was). Looked and felt amazing, build quality fantastic - they grip your head but are really comfortable and the sound quality was amazing... for exactly 9 minutes. Then the sound started cutting out and in again. Then they cut out permanently - green light was on indicating good connection with the Xbox Series X, but no sound connection. Turning off and on again did nothing and I never got another sound out of them. Then after powering off and on one more time in desperation, the headphones started powering down automatically, so I would turn them on and they would turn themselves off a few seconds later.Battery fully charged. Latest firmware installed. All this happened in just one game - Forza Horizon 4. A bit of digging online revealed that other people have also reported problems with these headphones in that particular game.Next morning, I tried them again - in a number of games and also connecting via Bluetooth to my laptop and listening to some music. Really impressed by the sound quality, and had none of the problems that I experienced with Forza Horizon 4. The lingering thought that these might stop working properly depending on the game is not reassuring for the buyer. There is another problem, which is that the only way to modify your sound settings is by using the Android (or iOS) app. I installed this app on my Android phone, but it crashes on opening every time. Have tried reinstalling, but as yet have not managed to sign in to the app even once. The default settings are currently OK for me, but I have contacted Turtle Beach Support about this issue. So, the first evening I opened the box and tried out the headphones, I was impressed by the build quality but immediately initiated a return after the disastrous performance in Forza Horizon 4.The next morning, after trying again with different games and listening to music over bluetooth, I cancelled the return and decided that the overall quality is good enough that I would be reluctant to part with them.I hope that the issue with the Android app is addressed soon.

I use this headset for PC Gaming. I purchased the PS4 Blue versions so that i did not also require the Xbox adaptor that is required for the green versions. After many hours in PC world/ Curry trying on all the of headsets i found this headset is exactly what i wanted. Already knowing turtle beaches audio quality from before with previously owning Turtle Beach P12'S. My Turtle Beach P12 still excellent however with my new gaming chair the sound adaptor on the wire kept getting stuck on the chairs arm mid game which was very annoying so i decided to go wireless! With this new headset all the sound setting from the adaptor are on the headset with the game and chat adjusters under ear on one side which i love. You can very simply mute your headset by lifting the microphone. The microphone is very compact, small and discrete. I have now had these for about a month with vigorous long hours of gaming; i have only had to charge this a number of times. The cable this comes with is tiny which doesn't even reach to my headphone stand yet along my head. I recommend buying a longer one; i purchased a 2M UGreen one so i can play while charging if needs be.I have yet to try out the extra sound setting the default sound setting is great as it is. however i might use the super human hearing in future for competitive play. One of the main reason i love these is because you can simply just put these on download the driver and you are all set no fussing about.I previously purchased the Corsair Void Pro Wireless headset which i later returned. I found these very comfy over the ears however they just did not fit very well the cups did not cover ears correctly and they seemed very stretched towards the pair i tried out in store, they would constantly slip off my head. i also did not find the audio quality brilliant. instead with the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 wireless headset i can walk about if needs be to go get a snack or just have a stretch without worrying about the headset falling off at all while still being able to chat to friends on discord. I am glad i returned my previous choice and purchased these instead.

I ordered this as a replacement for my Stealth 600 headset and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by its build quality and overall feel. The Stealth 600 is a great headset which I had no problems with until the master volume controller kept getting stuck and it became really difficult to adjust the volume, so I had to talk to Amazon and they were gracious enough to give me a refund and I added some money and decided on the Stealth 700, and I do not regret my decision at all.I was debating between this headset and the Astro A20, but I decided on this one since the Astro was on backorder for a while and I needed a headset quickly.Pros:+ Build quality is actually very good compared to the Stealth 600,although still lacks the 'premium' feel of the Astro A10 and A20+ Great mic+ Bluetooth connectivity+ Surround sound is excellent and very immersive+ Superhuman hearing mode (or w.e it's called) is actually good on this one whereas it made things worse on the Stealth 600Cons:- Battery life on the Stealth 600 was much, much better. I believe I was able to use it for over 12 hours without having to charge it, whereas the Stealth 700 doesn't last nearly as long, but I am sure that's because I am usually connected to both the PS4 and my PC via Bluetooth- There is a noticeable delay when powering it on, off, or using any of the buttons on the headset. It's only a couple of seconds but it felt much faster and more responsive on the Stealth 600- Although the material is quite nice, the headset feels a bit tighter than the Stealth 600 on the head, and therefore wearing it for long hours doesn't seem to be as comfortable, but I am sure it will loosen up with timeOverall this was a great purchase and I'm glad I went for it. I just hope it lasts longer than the Stealth 600 did.p.s. I just wanted to add that Go2Games is an absolutely fantastic seller because I emailed them requesting fast delivery as I was traveling for spring break and they were able to do it for me and free of charge. I really appreciate their professionalism!

This headset received a lot of negativity at launch because of connectivity issues, and rightly so. A firmware update has since been issued, which is mandated on the packaging. I can verify I have not had a single drop-out after several hours usage.I will begin with the main negative, and that is the build quality. Whilst not a complete deal-breaker, they are mainly plastic and not what I would describe as a premium feel. The earpads however are good quality and the overall look of the headset is pleasant enough, aside from the gloss accents which are just there to attract finger prints - when will these headset manufacturers learn? It is just in the hand the materials fall short of the price tag, although being lightweight has its benefits in terms of comfort. The headset is extremely comfortable to wear for long periods. The earpads don't get too hot, the head-band is sufficiently padded and the grip on the head is fine. The glasses-relief system on the earpads is also a welcome addition.Performance: sound quality is excellent overall. They are sufficiently loud without being excessive, with clear audio and punchy bass which doesn't distort at higher levels. I am very impressed by the audio and the bass in particular is far superior to many other more expensive headsets I've used. In fact I would put them on a par with the Astro A50 Gen 3's in terms of bass, only with arguably superior surround sound. Using Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos, spatial awareness is extremely immersive. Noise cancellation is decent and the convenient flip-up mic is above average. In summary, this headset represents good value for money. If you appreciate the convenience of true wireless with Xbox One, with the back-up of Bluetooth connectivity to add to its versatility, this headset from Turtle Beach is a great option. The audio performance in particular makes up for some of the shortcomings with the build quality - which although robust enough, lack that premium feel.

I am very very picky when it comes to gaming headsets, I had a discontinued turtle Beach headset which i loved for the longest time and when it broke I spent ages looking for the perfect headset to replace it. The three main qualitys I was looking for were: 1) Microphone quality and this is where the headset was lacking for me as my friends said it was slightly tinny compared to my old microphone but that was a very good mic and now adays finding a reasonable priced headset with a good microphone is extremely hard so don't let that put you off because I am really happy with this headset. The second quality 2) Is sound obviously and this headset is AMAZING for this price range, you can here literally every sound in game with the right settings in the app and the bass is surprising very good, I listen to all my music on it now aswell. Lastly 3) is comfort and this headset is very comfortable, but at first it may seem a little tight but once it is broken in a bit you can barely feel it on your head. Now for the negatives: the biggest one for me is streight out the box there was a massive problem with the noise cancelling, whenever I turned it on the right earphones made a horrible cracking sound but when I turned it off it was perfectly fine. I didn't bother returning it because the noise cancelling is a bit of a gimic anyway so I was never going to use it. I haven't seen anyone else with this problem so don't let it affect you buying it and if it does happen you can always return it . Another thing is that the battery life is about 12h which I great but if you are like me and constantly forget to charge the headset, it can get annoying, also the wire they give you is very short so you can't really use it while charging unless you get a new cable. But this is made up for by the fact this headset is amazing wireless and it is honestly so much nicer but having wires and makes the gaming experience even more enjoyable.

Materials: I’ll start off with a less than good point - the materials on this feels rather cheap, from the finicky plastic cups to the not so soft ear pads. On first use they made my ears hurt after an hour or so of gaming, but in the days that followed my they got used to them. Although, it is still like a breath of fresh air when taking them off!Sound: The omni-directional sound has helped my gameplay in shooters tremendously. I can hear footsteps and their location from further than ever so that’s a massive plus. There’s a few different sound modes, including a ‘superhuman hearing’ mode which simply just boosts the volume (don’t recommend). The ‘signature sound’ seems to be the best mode, offering a decent punchy base (nothing too special) and clear mids/highs. It makes for immersive gameplay and decent entertainment watching but I wouldn’t use it as my go to for a movie.Mic: Crystal clear from (as I’ve been told). VOIP quality. Flicks up to the side to mute, with an audible sound ‘MIC OFF’ when in position. ‘MIC ON’ when flicker back into speaking position.Fit: The extendable arms makes sure it can fit any head, but like I said the pressure it creates on the ears, whilst good for a tight seal can get uncomfortable. Overall though it fits solidly on your head, doesn’t fall off with frantic head movements (don’t ask) and doesn’t really move.Design: Probably one of the more gaudy designs, I wouldn’t wear them in public (besides the fact you can’t pair these with regular Bluetooth devices) but it is a gaming headset so that’s sorta expected?Overall: Pretty solid headset that does the job. If you’re looking to slay some fortnite noobs or better your COD game, this will help. But if you’re a professional looking for professional equipment. This isn’t it. Saying that, the majority of us sadly aren’t professional gamers, so this gets a solid 4/5 from me.

These have good sound and are comfortable enough. Personally i find my ears get a tad hot after a while but it's nothing terrible. The app works great for adjusting settings and updating the headphones. So easy to just turn on and have them connect like a controller. Noise cancelling is totally unnoticeable, don't even bother with it, otherwise sound is good. Have a few slightly annoying querks, firstly on bluetooth to phone the volume often gets stuck on 1 level and wont change at all. Second if you disconnect from xbox and useonly on phone they have a habbit of turning off after a short time. Finally they do have a rare but very annoying habbit of suddenly losing all sound from the xbox.Has only happened to me when playing forza horizon when also connected to phone discord chat via bluetooth but did it every 10 minutes or so. Hasn't done it again since and not hard to fix when it does, just quickly power off and on again, takes 10 to 15 seconds but irritating. Make sure you keep receipt just in case yours play up a lot and make sure the very 1st thing you do is download the update software from turtlebeach onto a laptop/computer and update the firmware. Otherwise they wont connect to the latest mobile phones to use the app to do further updates or change settings. Galaxy s9 in my case. Only takes 5 mins to do then all updates can be done using app.If like me you really don't want extra cables and base stations to mess around with, I have a 5.1 surround system already using my optical port, then these do the job. If having your audio go to a base station doesn't cause any major issues then buy a set of astros or some kind of more widely used gaming headphones that don't rely on talking to the xbox directly.

Pros :Great signature sound fantastic for gaming (Rainbow six siege especially)Wireless and comfy, can wear for hours without discomfort.Crisp clear mic quality where you can hear yourself, useful. Flicking the mic up or down to mute is helpful too.Cons :Battery life not as great as people are making out. Ok for the casual gamer but for the ones spending a few more hours you will get a little frustrated. Also when it warns "battery low" you've got about a minute before it dies completely. Should be a bit earlier I'd you ask me.Sound modes. Superhuman hearing SUCKS. like it's a total joke it basically cranks some sort of internal gain and makes everything sound horrible and distorted, don't use.The bass and treble boosts work OK and are mostly good for movies rather than gaming, although the bass boost is good for games like battlefield ect with alot of explosions, gives extra depth. Surround sound good for movies but not much difference to signature sound in games.Button layout : this is something that annoys me. The battery, all the buttons the charging port ect is ALL in the left headphone. It doesn't feel heavy or cluttered but the buttons are not raised or prominent in any way, it's hard to find with your fingers when you are wearing them, can be a bit annoying.Overall, though I have a few niggles I am happy with the headset for the price I paid, it's worth getting if this is around your budget, you won't do much better. If you want something with a little bit less of a "throw them out on the construction line and we'll make the next model", you're gonna have to spend a bit more. All in all, would recommend for the majority of people. Many thanks!
