This is a very good sounding comfortable headset.~[Overall product]~The build quality is very common amongst turtle beach headsets, with a plastic construction but also durable, its a light weight set of earphones with a detachable microphone, leather ear cups and a bit of padding along the top of the headband. The headband is fully adjustable so it can cater to your dome size making it comfortable for everyone. The cable isn't very long but its more than enough for what it will be used for. In the upper mid section of the cable lies a little mute button and volume slider.~[Sound Quality]~The sound quality is brilliant for the price with heavy bass and a wide soundscape making it perfect for most if not all games.The sound quality for chat sounds very crisp and clear as does the microphone itself. You could use these for listening to music or watching movies, I would recommend this as the sound quality is very diverse which is good because its not all about bass heavy explosions but also character dialogue and music so this would be good for anything but specifically great for gaming.~[feel]~The earphones are very comfortable for extended gaming sessions, the ear cups are large which allows them to sit comfortably over your ears. The ear cups are made with leather which does get quite warm after a period of extended use but this is to be expected. here is also a small piece of soft foam on the headband for extra cushioning but I would honestly say that it doesn't really make much of a difference as the headset is very light so you don't really feel the head band at all. The headset is fully adjustable so if you have a larger head or a smaller one you will not be left out.~[Overall opinion]~Overall I would recommend this headset to anyone that needs a good headset for chat and game sounds in the one pair especially if they don't want to break the bank in a higher end headset. They are relatively durable and have great sound quality for the price so I really cant fault them.

Turtle Beach Recon 50 XI am gamer and a youtuber who enjoys making videos and having average equipment to work with. Before I purchased the Turtle Beach Recon 50 X, I used to use Tritton Kunai stereo headset for gaming but unfortunately the ear piece of the Tritton headset broke. As I was browsing on amazon for a new headset I came across the Turtle Beach Recon 50 X, It Looked pretty good on the images but better in person.The Turtle Beach 50 X was well packed in its packaging which I was very impressed by, opening the box didn’t take long as there are two taped slots to open the box, After the taped slots it’s very easy to open the box.The Recon 50 X box looks very aesthetic as it’s got a nice green and white colourway to it which blend well.The Recon 50 X is very comfortable as it is very lightweight which makes it very light on your head. If your person who enjoys playing games for a long period of time, this is the headset for you because it is very light, comfortable and versatile as you can adjust your headset to tighten if you feel the need to.When in the game the Recon 50 X headsets audio feels amazing as I play Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege which requires hearing footsteps of enemies. I can adjust the game sound by using the scroller on the side of the headsets control section. When you feel the need to mute your mic it is very quick and easy as you just slide the button down towards the mute icon.Overall the Turtle Beach Recon 50 X is a unique headset that I would recommended to all you lovely gamers as it delivers you the best gaming comfortability and audio sound whilst enjoying the wonderful games that you are playingLimits Reviews

These headphones are very good if you are a casual/hardcore gamer that doesn't have a lot in their wallet.These headphones have a lot of pros few cons. Pros:Clear audio, Very comfortable as advertised, customizable volume, off or on button for mic, you can use for gaming or just watching a movie, you can also use these headphones for most phones,very long lasting (have used these headphones for more than 6 months now and they are as good as new),and my favorite thing about these headphones is that they are VERY durable. Little sibling twisted it? No problem! Dropped it? No problem! Threw it? No problem! These headphones can be a very easy fix if broke, warranty not really needed greatly.Cons are: Very few times for me I feel the plastic top of the headphones hurting my head when I play for long periods a little bit despite the headrest. Another con is if you have a big head these will not work very well for you. I am personally started in my teenage years and have to use the max suspension for the headphones to fit my head, and my head is below average to average size for my age. Overall if these Cons do not matter to you much, these are an excellent choice! If they do matter to you a little bit, I reccomend you try it out and if it does not work for you I believe there is a return policy for these headphones. I actually bought these for my son, but have ended up using them just as much (if not more) as him.I was expecting much for the price, but they are actually really good quality headphones. Their main purpose is to chat with other players while playing online. I do play online games, but only rarely, so I've not personally used them for that purpose. However, my son is very happy with them and rates them highly.They plug into the dualshock controller and once plugged in, they take seconds to set up (just need to adjust the microphone levels in the PS4 settings, but it comes with a guide if you've not done this before)I play a lot of single player games and watch films on the ps4,but can't really have the volume up when others are sleeping in the house. These headphones have been amazing to use for that purpose. Just simply unplug the microphone and you have a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Well sort of. You still need to have the headphones plugged into the dualshock, but they work perfectly if you just want to use them for headphones for the PS4.Beside the headphones and mic, there is also a volume control and mute switch connected to the wire, so you can adjust the volume and mute the mic when you don't want the people you're gaming with to hear (can save embarrassing/awkward moments!)They are not the best quality headphones money can buy, nor are they the greatest gaming headset on the market, but for the price you can not go wrong.

These are probably my first pair of Turtle Beach Headphones, and I have to say that they are extremely comfortable and sound great. I wear glasses and a slightly larger head and I don't feel and strain when wearing them for long periods of time. For people that are going to but them to use with Xbox One, if you have a Xbox One controller that was first released when the Xbox One was released then you do need to buy a headset adapter. These headphones do not come with one in the box. But if you have a Xbox One controller that has the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom then you can plug these headphones in without worrying you do lose the ability to adjust volume levels of game and party chat but you can still change all that in the Xbox settings any way.If your also looking to buy these to use on PC then it also works. But if you have two 3.5mm jacks which are marked headphone and mic then you do need to buy an audio/mic splitter so you can use the mic on the headphones and have audio at the same time. The mic quality it also amazing. It doesn't pick up tons of background noise unless the background noise is really loud. The people I talk to on PC and Xbox have said they can hear me without any issues so I highly recommend buying these if you just want something that works great. And if you don't want to talk or you want to use them as head phones while your out, you can remove the mic from the headphones which I think is a really good idea

I’ve had a few Turtle Beach gaming headphones and have always thought them to be very good, this is the first set that have been under £30.First impressions are they look really good, great looking box, and nice looking headphonesThere light weight, they do have a bit of a plastic feel to them, which the previous Turtle Beach didn’t, guess that reflects the price.They sat nicely on my head, nice and comfortable, well padded band.You have a microphone on the side, which is very well made, and a good length cable.The come with a 3.5mm plug, which fits nicely in tot he PS4 controllerConnected to the PS4, the Sound quality is very good, okay, I’ve had better but not at this price, the mix of Treble,Bass and mid is excellent, I played COD and they were more than capable of giving a very good gaming experience, explosions were good, the atmosphere was captured pretty well with these, I did think speech was excellent, worked well without the mic having to bit sat on you lip.Remembering that these are by Turtle Beach and there under £30, I think there very good, If you can stretch the budget by a considerable amount then there are better, but you’d be hard pushed to find anything at this price that are as good in my opinionThese are a good quality set of headphones, build is good, but not as solid as some I have tried, nicely presented in a good presented box, ideal If giving as a gift.

Pros:not bad. Very loud and superb base, well done.the sound is amazing, crisp and clear and the pads on the ears are super comfortable.the inline volume control is very useful and it's at the perfect position for me.Their small frame makes it pretty easy to store. I usually hang my headphones over my monitor, but if im a rush and I just chuck them on my desk, they dont take up too much spaceCons:the downsides are, the wire is incredible too small and the where the wires from each ear meet is way too close, it needs to have a much longer wire, and the headphones need to connect further down said wire.Also, the plastic frame feel incredible low quality and flimsy. just putting it on my head,I feel like it will snap at any minuet.most of the other reviews have already covered this but, the included removable Boom mic does not work. I did notice the aux jack is direction, so I figured people were just putting it in wrong but no, it still doesn't workI also don't like how the PC version is an extra £5 for, essentially, a different colour.Conclusion:They are not terrible. they sound great and they're pretty cheap.But, if you can afford it, I highly recommend the Turtle Beach Atlas Three Amplified Gaming Headset. they look better, have metal supports and amplified audio, as well as a working Microphone.

I ordered these as the title page states (Xbox One/PS4/Mac/PC). When I received the headset I was a little disconcerted as they had Xbox One splattered all over them – we have a PS4. However once unpacking them I could see that there was a standard 3.5mm audio jack on the lead so I thought they would probably work with the PS4, and they did.My son tested these with FIFA 16 playing on his own vs the PS4 and also as part of an online game. He was pleased with the results. The microphone just needs to be plugged in and our PS4 recognised the headset when it was connected to the audio port of the Dual Shock controller. He didn’t experience any lag whilst using these online and the PS4 and FIFA 16 recognised in-game voice commands “attack”,etc without any issue.I’m not a gamer or anything but I did have a go and my more mature ears thought they were a little harsh and tinny, but I’m used to more expensive headphones and listen exclusively to music, so that would be the reason. My son certainly wasn’t concerned about the quality of the sound.So, although they have green flashes to obviously compliment the Xbox One they worked perfectly on our PS4. I note that there is a “blue” version for the PS4 so if you’re that bothered what the colour scheme is.Good value for the money, I would say.

My son has tried many PS4 headphones but always tends to prefer Turtle, partly due to the rock solid build quality but just as importantly (for a 13 year old boy) as it is a brands his friends also like.He has a pair of PX4s which he loves but he was looking for a pair to use round friends' houses (the PX4s need a transmitter). The Ear Foce 50Ps ticked most of the boxes: relatively cheap (currently under £30), comfortable and goof functions.Comfort is good for short periods but there is not the same level of padding as, say the PX4s, although you are paying significantly less. The one slight drawback (which I would say would make them 4 star at a higher price) is that there is only a single chat and game volume dial.Playing a game like the recently released Black Ops gives this gives you a slight problem (according to my son) as you can't then turn up the background sounds as loud as you want as chat is then also loud.My son is very pleased with them and recommends them as a second, out of the house set or for beginners to gaming looking for their first set. Plus point for me is that they can also be used on Mac, phones etc. The mic comes off so you can wear these when out and about.Highly recommended with slight reservations but excellent for the price.

So I got this headset yesterday, not from Amazon but from Argos. Starting off with the comfort, he comfort of this headset is amazing as the ear cups cover your whole ears and they are very nicely cushioned with a leathery like material on them. I was wearing these for about 3 hours of gaming and these are just so comfortable. So next, the sound quality, the sound quality of these is very good and high quality and you can hear the footsteps of nearby enemies up to medium range enemies (Black Ops 3). So next is the microphone, so I really like the microphone on this headset as it is removable and according to my friends, my voice is very clear with it.The only problem with the microphone is that it feels stiff when trying to bend it into position and my voice doesn't echo back so I can't hear myself talking which can be annoying as I am used to my voice echoing and I never know if the mic is working or not at times. Another reason that makes this headset good as the fact that you can use it for multiple platforms such as PC, Xbox One, PS4, mobile or tablet and PS Vita. Overall I would rate this headset a 4/5.

DO NOT BUY,Only giving this a five star with any luck people will see it and it won't get lost.I was extremely disappointed by this, not specifically the product but the company. I opened up the head set and noticed it only had one cable for the headphone jack, okay 5 years I've had my current one and assumed techs moved forward and its all done through one port. I was wrong, I skyp'd and my folks couldn't hear me. Look up the user guide to make sure I didn't have to install anything else (FYI you don't) then in bold it says if you don't have the right ports then you have to buy a splitter directly from them. (another FYI, I have 7 ports for head phones, microphones and the likes on this case /sound card everything from headphones to 7.1 specialized ports)To me, this is a trash move to make people (who might not be fortunate finical) have to spend a couple quid extra, its not about the price tag on the splitter extra, its the principle behind it. They know not all users will have a joint port they should be included by default with the original packaging, returning mine tomorrow for a different brand

The colour scheme is quite deceptive as it compliments the XBox. No worries though. They will work as advertised on other platforms. If you want a different colour (blue), they are also available with a lightly different model number - Ear Force Recon 50P.Our intended use will be on a PS4 & PC.Plugging them into the PS4 controller, they were recognised immediately.The headset feels nice and comfortable in use - My kids using them for quite some time without issue. They don't feel as cheap as some others in this category.They are very good sound quality for a headset in this price range, and the microphone is very good, crisp & clear for in game chatting.Whilst they are not a match audibly for my Sennheiser headphones (which I didn't expect them to be at a third of the price), they do offer very good performance at a reasonable price point.Quite pleased with these and the kids give them the thumbs up seal of approval.

Very good value for money. I bought these for PC gaming, so I can't speak for how they perform with console gaming.The mic can be unplugged and is un-intrusive, and I have been told the quality is quite crisp and overall better than the macbook pro inbuilt microphone I used prior to purchasing them.Headphones are lightweight and quite comfortable to wear, some headphones I have worn in the past do feel heavy on the head and get uncomfortable to wear over time - these do not.Ear cups do a solid job at keeping outside noise out, especially at this kind of pricing.Sound quality is also solid, good for the price but it isn't going to blow you away like a more expensive headset.My main problem with this headset so far is the wires.Wire is fairly short, about 3 feet from jack to earphones. The other issue is that the wires do split into each earphones fairly high up- lower split would have been nicer, and only one wire up to the head could have been even nicer.Overall, an excellent budget headset, but if you are a PC gamer you may find yourself needing to invest in 3.5mm extension cable.

For the price, this is probably the best all round headset available. It's not amazing sound quality but for the price I wasn't expecting that. If you are looking for absolutely amazing sound quality, I would have a look at a more expensive headset because it just doesn't exist at this price range.There is one thing I must mention that I know caught me out and someone else I know who also brought this same headset. The way it works is through a mic and speaker 3.5mm jack slot. This slot is only on the latest Xbox One controller. Luckily for me, I'd pre ordered the Elite controller which has the slot. However, if you don't have the slot, it's either a new controller,the official adaptor which is available on Amazon for £17.99 or a new headset.It does also work on the PS4 and I haven't tested it on PC or Mac as I don't have the splitter cable but I have no reason to suspect it won't work on them as well.Apart from the problem with the audio jack which is this headset's main flaw as it's advertised for the Xbox One, this headset is a great all rounder and I would recommend it to anyone.
