I have had a number of plastic covered steel baskets and the plastic always comes off after short time allowing the basket to rusty. This stainless steel one was a bit more expensive but I probably never have to buy another one. Remember the saying "Buy cheap buy twice".

We bought a plastic coated basket from Franke, but in less than 2 weeks the plastic was coming off. These stainless baskets are very expensive direct from Franke, but this well made product cost less than half Franke's price at Amazon and is the one to go for.

Strong, well made basket ideal for draining glasses, cups, mugs, cutlery, and plates, the latter with care as they need to lean against each other rather than a large upstand.

Fits sink perfectly. Is very sturdy and being metal (as oppsed to covered in plastic), there's no issue with putting hot pans in the sink. Looks like it will last years.

Bought one of these 10 years ago and decided to buy another one. Still the same excellent quality and will probably last another 10 years!!
