The Einhell Petrol Lawn Trimmer with Autochoke is a good value bit of kit that was fairly easy to put together, and whilst the quality is not exactly top notch, it does appear to be well put together and worth the sub-hundred pound asking price.Once assembled, (less than half an hour) and filled with the requisite mix of 2 stroke and petrol (a handy 500ml mixing bottle is included) the trimmer fired up for the 1st time after half a dozen pulls. using the autochoke, it soon settled into a bearable buzz on idle, and awaited action.Like many people, my lawn mower does a great job on about 90% of the lawn, but there are a few edges, banks and dips that are missed. A quick ‘zap’ with this trimmer and the lawn edges are crisp and pristine.Again Einhell has made the decision to use a two stroke petrol/oil mix with their trimmer to increase the distance you can trim. No cables etc to limit the distance.Again the trimmer can be disassembled to increase storage possibilities. The assembly is quick and easy to do, including the tool kit that comes with the trimmer. After I'd worked out how to assemble this (!) and bought some two-stroke oil to mix with the unleaded petrol ... I found it started up first time and does the job of strimming grass and other small diameter weeds and small branches very well. The controls are simple and well positioned, and the 'bump' release to get more strumming cord released works well, unlike most other strummers I've used. My only slight criticism is the carrying strap worn over the shoulders - this is somewhat difficult to adjust properly and get the strimmer properly balanced for effective use. However, the big advantage of having a strimmer without a trailing electrical cable means much greater flexibility in use and the ability to tackle brush and other vegetation in difficult to access areas.

I used this as soon as it arrived , easy to put together and started first pull . when i went to stop it the second time the stop button was kaput , didn't work so had to stop it on the choke .Too much hassle sending it back for this and other than that it is an exellent strimmer , i would recomend it as i used it to cut a garden that was neglected and uncut for 2 years .Apart from the switch i sstill rate it 5 star .
