Ordered this as my back garden was quite overgrown and wanted something a bit more "heavy duty" than my previous strimmer without having to go the petrol route.Managed to get it set up and ready to go with very little hassle.This strimmer makes short work of long grass and all but the thickest brambles just using the standard 2mm line, it also comes with some 2.4mm heavy duty lines for rough cuts but I went through those pretty quickly.The automatic feed for the 2mm wire sometimes lets out too much wire which has resulted in some damage to the guard so I'll probably have to replace it at some point (and some slightly abused ankles/shins)

This is very good for an electric strimmer, really powerful, cuts through grass with ease, I bought it because it's small so I could cut the grass on a wall where there is little space to stand in, the only thing I don't like is the auto feed on it, the first time I used it I didn't realise that every time I switched it on and off it would automatically feed the line out even though there was nothing wrong with the line, to stop this from happening I put a piece of tape inside the head to stop the auto feed from moving, and this stops you wasting the line, but you then have to manually feed the line yourself afterwards, take spool out and pull the line out a bit and put it back in,

It was with trepidation that we purchased this strimmer as we have had several other brand names with which we have been disappointed. Not so with this one!! It has made a good job of our rather overgrown (in places) garden. This is the first time that we have had an autofeed line that has actually fed the line automatically!? The normal 2.0mm line (one spool supplied) copes admirably with normal strimming. The HDL Heavy Duty Line (pack of 8 supplied) is for the tough stuff (nasty thick stemmed weeds and brambles) - and they certainly do the job!

Seems very robust. As powerful as a smaller petrol strimmer and highly suited to dealing with long grass, thick weeds, heavily overgrown areas. Quite large head and together with its considerable power I found it rather too much for my average sized garden where it was difficult to avoid causing damage. I would thoroughly recommend for rough work where it offers much more power than any other corded strimmer I have ever used, but it does need a very light touch in many garden situations.

Purchased this to tackle extremely over grown. neglected lawn with more thistles and thick foliage than grass - Black and Decker was recommended (by my dad) and I am glad I listened - Although a little heavy at first due to the 900 wattage (and I am a girl) it is well balanced and absolutely powered through the dense almost copse like greenery in no time, it didn't falter when I hit a bramble and finished the job in no time - please buy this you wont be disappointed

This is a very good product its powerful and easy to use I have a grass bank with course scrub at the top of my garden and chose to buy an electric strimmer as opposed to a petrol cutter because it is at 45 degrees and difficult to stand therefore dangerous to use a brush cutter I am a builder and didn't think I would find a strImmer this powerful and the quick change strimmer lines are a great idea all in all I am glad I bought it well done

I suffer from arthritis and am unable to use my engine driven strimmer anymore. Needed a decent quality electric model that would be up to the job of heavy grass verges and the like without being too heavy. This Black & Decker model is very powerful and well up to the job so far. Anyone looking for an electric strimmer try this model rather than some of the small low wattage varieties that are available. Well worth the extra cash.

I bought this to replace my Black & Decker cordless version. Wasn’t too sure about buying an electric one due to the limitations of the lead and having to use an extension lead. However, I am delighted with this tool. It’s so powerful, the precision is spot on. The lead isn’t a problem after all. I’m highly delighted. Great price. Definitely recommend this! The delivery was swift, it arrived sooner than I expected.

My lawn was properly out of control beyond knee height. With a quote from a gardener of £70 and concerned that previous strimmers havent been up to the job of my tufty lawn i was apprehensive but thought at this price i had to have a punt. Success!!! The heavy duty wire took it down to ground level in a couple of hours and now im confident that at last ive a strimmer that works :) happy customer.

Well replaces a battery one o bought twice the price which was a piece of c...p I had a great strummer which was borrowed never to return This strummer is fantastic does a fantastic job plenty of power cuts like knife through butter I’d highly recommend this black n decker tool more than equals the one borrowed people

I have only used this once but seems to do the job so far very well.one problem is the instruction are rubbish I got a reel that was attached to the machine which is good but also received 5 lengths of wire 4 or 5 inches long wire with a plastic bit in the middle with no explanation as to what to do with them.

Don't normally right reviews but this strimmer is so powerful. The garden was really over grown and this cut through it in no time. Love being able to change to hd line and normal spool , the hd cuts through anything. Worth paying a little extra for this I've had numerous and none have compared to this.

excellent machine have just used on heavy duty side brilliant,well weighted machine ,very easy assembly excellent value for money ,worth more .not cheap materials very sturdy .like the wheel for edging the lawn .good adjustable handle so you can customise for yourself no problems .

brought this item a few weeks ago . came with both standard line and heavy duty line used twice now and found excellent for both light and heavier work . Very quick and easy to swap over from light to heavy line am so pleased to have chose this model

This Strimmer was bought to replace myy old machine, the garden had got overgrown abit, but this strimmer just ripped through it , worth paying the extra cash for , highly recommend this machine especially if you have a garden thats overgrown .
