I went for Bosche as a make with a good reputation, likely to last, and it does the job in so far as it goes. But there's no automatic feed, so you have to stop it and unplug it (for safety) rather often to extend the line. Also, it doesn't have a rotating head so not much good for edges. If you just need to trim a bit of long grass closer to a wall or tree trunk than you can get the mower, it may be all you need, but personally, I should have spent rather more for a more versatile model.

A few years back I had previous revision model and which last for 2 years, then I bought more powerfull Grass Trimmer different make but after a year I back to Bosch, Standard line 1.6mm is breaking but I think it is value for money.You can buy cheap like this one or professional for hundreds to feel a different.All in rane between 30-100 are the same, all will be breaking easily, it doesn't matter if is single or double line in my opinion.

My husband had a petrol grass trimmer for a number of years, however he was finding it more and more difficult to use it as he was getting older. But he was certain that his petrol grass trimmer was the best. However he decided it was time to try an electric, lightweight grass trimmer. He loves it and wishes he'd bought one long ago. Our garden is looking tidy again. Thank you.. Would definitely recommend it to anyone-irrelevant of their age...

Excellent machine for the price. Very strong motor and reliable. The autofeed means never having to worry about checking string length(as long as you stop the motor now and then). Tip: if you don't need the string to keep feeding, double-start(to slowly start). I tend to 'pulse' start mine when near hard items(saves breaking string because lower speed is achieved), and pulse-starting prevents autofeed too.Great replacement for my old one.

Easy to assemble, lightweight, nicely designed, well balanced with an adjustable handle, cuts well especially long grass not to sure about replacement cutter, I e where to get it from, bosch is a good make and price wise, is excellent value for money. Compared to a flymo strimmer, which to be honest looks cheap and cheerful, I really would recommend the bosch strimmer if your contemplating on purchasing a strimmer 10 /10.

Powerful strimmer and very good value . The only minor issue that I had was its features include automatic feed of spool on the line if it breaks but I cannot get this feature to work so feed it out manually on the odd occasion the line gets cut ( obviously disconnecting from the power supply first ) . Apart from that it works excellently and tidies up the parts of the garden that the mower cannot get to .

Tidying the garden a few weeks ago after the winter and found my existing strimmer in a bad way. Searched on line for replacement and Argos provided a perfect match re price and well known brand. Bought on line and collection in my local store was very fast and efficient. A good reliable product, sourced and collected locally meant I could finish off garden with minimum of fuss and without any delay

It is efficient and easy to use. I was able to put it together and start using it straightaway. It is lightweight which was an important aspect for me as a small woman. It has an adjustable handle which helps with angles and positioning. There is a button to push that releases the wire bit by bit so you don't have to unwind the whole thing when it needs lengthening. All in all, a really good buy.

This was to replace a flymo multi trim. I like the height so I’m no bent over double. I use it only to do the edges where the lawnmower doesn’t reach. If works well but you have to be exact with it or it will scalp your lawn!I’ll persevere with it because it does work well just have to be careful. Personally wouldn’t recommend it for anyone under 5ft 4 because they will struggle to use it.

This product has a 3 year guarantee, but could not register as it is not recognising the product on the Bosh website, emailed the company, not a uk website reached USA and Canada, so need to find the product in order to get the 3 extra years guarantee, the product is not listed on the website drop down, good product but a waste of time if you wanted the extra protection.

Just as the title says, it did the job on a VERY overgrown lawn. Strimming isn't a quick job, so be prepared for it to take time. Two points to be aware of: ensure the strimming wire is working effectively, you may have to pull it through; the cable is not that long, so you'll need a long extension lead. Overall, happy - an effective and well-priced little gadget.

I am disabled and I do love gardening and My strimmer easy cut 23 is exactly what it is easy cut its light weight makes it easy for me to use and as I can’t get about very well this is my new best friend in the garden so easy and lite to use and value for money worth every penny and would and have recommended to a few people and I know two friends have bought one

Easy to assemble for first use. Works well, but I tend to try and strim the cracks between paving stones and this doesn’t strim between the crack like my old strummer.However, when strimming the lawn this strimmer is great and although the strim wire is supposed to auto-feed I found manually feeding very easy (I disconnected from the mains each time) anyway.

Wanted a small and cheap trimmer for occasional use and had good experience with the brand before. It arrives in a tiny box but is quickly assembled into a fairly sturdy product. Works well, cutting through some fairly long / rough grass.Sometimes have to take the cap off and manually feed some line after a break - but this seems common with most brands.

Easy to assemble, but check the instructions first (there's a particular order for assembling the handle). Cord length is OK (same as other models - never seems to be long enough!) and the reel feeds 10mm each time you start the motor so it's easy to use. I have a large garden and this trimmed the edges well - no complaints so far.
