I purchased this but not from Amazon as I found it cheaper, but this is the best trimmer I have ever owned.I went through a few trimmers as none of them seemed to work very well.The automatic feeder on the line seems to work every time. I have a 100ft garden and I have never had to manually wind this on at all.I wanted a powerful one and 900w is incredible, it goes through anything and has no problems at all. Even stinging nettles.When I moved in the whole garden had about 1meter of grass high with all sorts and it clear the whole lot in no time at all. The heavy duty line is great, although they don't last forever but I do tend to use these more than the spool as they are strong.I decided against a petrol one due to the weight.

My new strimmer (I ordered a GL8033 but received a GL9033 which is 900W) was delivered about 4 hours ago and, once fully assembled, I couldn't wait to try it out. On opening the box it came in I realised that the curved pole had been fitted back to front but it was easy enough to undo the screw and turn it round the right way. The guard and second handle were also easy to fit. The cable is very long. On ordering I'd been a bit concerned in case it was too heavy for me (I'm a five foot tall 66 year old female) but, unless you're strimming acres, the weight is absolutely fine, not too heavy at all. I was also concerned about the price but I've decided it's worth every penny.

I don't know why I didn't buy one of these years ago ! I used to edge the lawn with an edging tool and it took ages, this strimmer meant the job was done in minutes. I have a large garden but bought a 45 metre extension reel - hopefully this will not invalidate the warranty. As I am unused to electrical cables attached to gardening equipment I did catch the lead a few times - it scarred the cable but did not cut through but will be much more careful in future and position cable behind me at all times. As some of my garden is edged with sandstone the cutting string is easily damaged when it catches it which might be rather expensive - hopefully practice will make perfect but it is worth checking

I bought this strimmer because it has a powerful motor, which is needed for the very rough ground around our ditch. Our old Black and Decker finally gave out under the strain so this one seemed to fit the bill. It is very good but, due to the bigger motor, is much heavier than my old one. Consequently, my arms ached very quickly. However, this is probably not a problem in the hands of a strapping, strong armed person! I cannot seem to get the line to work on the continuous feed spool, a problem I also had with my old strimmer. I really only use the individual lines due to the coarseness of the area I need to cut, but it would be good if I could use both. I've tried the suggestions in the leaflet to remedy the problem,

I got this to replace an ancient petrol-powered strimmer which developed electrical and fuel system faults which needed spares that were no longer easily available. So having a 35cm cutting width was important if the job of cutting banks and borders was not going to take all day. It works just fine even with tough grass due to the 900w motor, but the only thing people might need to think about before ordering is that it doesn't balance on a shoulder strap like a regular large strimmer, so it's kind of heavier to hold than expected. It has an adjustable angle handle but that doesn't help a lot with the centre of gravity. Now that's fine if you are fit and healthy and able to hold it at various unusual angles,

I was a little nervy at first because I knew that I needed to get something that could handle heavy duty strimming and some of the negative reviews on here concerned me, but not as much as on other strimmers! However I am so please that I went with it. I have seriously put this strimmer through it's paces over the last 2 weekends and been very impressed. Thick brambles and weeds are no match for this thing. The power is just what I needed as the area I was strimming was completely over grown. The strimmer is very well made and simple to use.

I would highly recommend this grass strimmer, very pleased with it.It's not to heavy and the different angels you can use it in is really good to get the corners.Worth every penny, i did my whole garden with this and its better then my older less powerful trimmers and any petrol trimmer i have used in the path. I used this for about a hour continually and only once did the auto feed let out new wire, so very robust.The auto feed is very useful and saves alot of time.

Such a good strimmer! This is our first one, so we saved up for a good one, not wanting to have to buy again later down the line, and I'm not disappointed! It's very powerful, and it's so easy to handle. I'd definitely recommend this strimmer to friends and family, simply as a good investment. I've lent ours to a few of our neighbours, too, and they've also said the same. Good value for money, for the equipment you get.

Good, well made product. Feels like it would go on forever. Heavier than I expected, which can give backache if not held properly. Need to experiment with various handle positions. Generous supplied cable length. Plentiful supply of spares, should they ever be needed. Efficient grass cutting. Spare spool holder is a nice touch. Plenty of power to do most jobs. Surprisingly quiet. Recommended.

Missing the lead as advertised. I don't mind. Got a brand new strimmer for a fraction of the cost. I already have plenty of flex so it will probably be longer than the one youre supposed to get. All I had to buy was a 2 pin female connector. All in All £23 for a new strimmer. Bargain. Some ppl on here are just thick and never satisfied

Excellent, I ordered the 800w but the 900w delivered, even better. Love the fact there is a choice of strimmer chord or the heavy duty strimmer lengths. I feel confident to tackle anything with this strimmer - good heavy duty item. I consider this a GOOD buy - knocks spots of the strimmers I have bought in the past.

So far so good. I had a Ryobi for doing the heavy strimming and on the 4th breakdown of the guard I felt the repair costs were absurd. This was a cheap alternative but so far I am loving it and it seems robust. It certainly is doing the job for me so far. It is also lighter than the Ryobi.

Got no help from flymo when my strimmer kept feeding line through and tangling around the head so I decided to try a black and decker. So far it has worked really well. A powerful motor that deals with the harder than average weed growth. sit seems good value and superior to its rivals

It was heavier than expected and I found it unwieldly to begin with, however the second time of using was better than the first as I gradually got the hang of it. (I am a sixty-eight year old female). Very happy with it now, good value and it does a good job.

Far better than my old Petrol one and so easy to use and very light. the heavy duty slip in cutters are really amazingly easy to use and I strimmed one third of an acre with hardly any wear.I am so pleased I bought this item it makes life so much easier.
