I come clean - I decided to return this item. Uhmed and erred for some days, but in the end it's power supply (just USB port) was too knitting for my available sockets, the manufacturer's recommendation that the machine be cleaning-down daily, and the idea of fiddling with parts to add distilled water and freezer packs to the product's innards, where just not Me.The product appeared well made on examination, and the instructions clear enough (I don't by nature follow instructions and I managed to follow the gist of these pretty well - illustrated).The item was well packaged and delivered in quick time.Alas, it'll be another summer for the old electric fan and damp tea-towel for me ~ but, oooh,

Having purchased this item to replace a regular 30 cm fan I can confirm that it will not be able to move the same volume of air around. It is light compact and easy to set up. It is listed as low noise, when measuring its volume it comes out 45db on low which is quite noticable but manageable. On high it is around 55db can be quite annoying. I purchased a quater 120mm fan for £8 which reduced it down to 20db. All in all ideal for a small area and if you don't mind the noise.

I was somewhat sceptical about this product, but the price was right, so I went ahead and purchased it and I'm glad I did! It's very easy to operate and the air it produces is lovely and cool. It's perfect for an office desk or beside a bed. It's not overly noisey either. Add ice cold water and the frozen block and you'll be lovely and cool.

Bought for my home office for these hot hot summer days. Ok so it is a little noisey so wouldn't recommend for a bedroom, but it does the trick of cooling my office down a couple of degrees fairly quickly. Advice is don't bother with the ice blocks, it's a nice quirk, but is a lot of effort to change, be prepared with a towel if you do.

I was looking for something that wasn't using actual ice, this comes with two blue ice packs you pre-freeze, you only need to use one at a time so one in the freezer and one out.I have this on my computer desk pointing at me and it keeps me cool, BUT its not for large rooms and won't cool down a large area.

Really like the little unit, it works well for it's intended purpose, it's not a room scale cooler keep it real.So to fix it...I replaced the fan with an EK Vardar 120mm.Improved air flow and reduced fan noise by a ridiculous amount.Now it's a fantastic little cooler with low noise.

For a little unit it actually does work quite well. I would recommend it - as long as you use it for a personal space. It won't cool a room. Plus when you start it up it can be a bit smelly. No amount of cleaning filter and unit seems to fix this.

Looked very flimsy to start with because when filling the water tank it leaked a little and the ice box was awkward to put back in after a while it worked ok it does what its supposed to do a nice little unit

Fantastic buy much better than a fan quieter and cat friendly they do not run for cover when it's on as it doesn't blow hard but is fantastically cool best buy this year.
