I really love this little appliance as it has made the chore of cleaning so much easier. I have been very unwell this year and the housework had to wait but this got me down seeing the dust etc building up. I saw and advert for the Gtech Multi and knew this type of appliance would really help but it was too expensive. After looking around I came across the Dustbuster which is still a lot of money but a lot less than the Gtech. The actual vacuum itself is really neat and fits nicely in the back corner of one of my kitchen worktops. Its style reminds me of an old fashioned telephone. The two tools extend the hose and help to get into different places. Its made a huge difference to my life because I can now do the cleaning a little bit at a time as and when I feel up to it. Its got very powerful suction which isn't much less than our main upright vacuum. It has a large dirt collection area and the filter is really easy to remove and clean. If you notice the suction is dropping its a sure sign the filter is clogged and needs cleaning out. I just knock mine out every couple of uses and then actually wash the filter every now and again. It lasts a long time - I've never used it for more than 15 minutes in one go and its still running normally at that point. Its easy to charge, you just put it back on its base and a flashing blue light shows it is charging. I mostly use the cleaner with the brush attachment which is particularly great for dusting. I've used the Dustbuster in every room of the house on all sorts of surfaces with great results. The only downside to it is that for most uses you really need to use both hands, one hand holding the hose and the other the vacuum itself. You can use it with the hose attached onto the vacuum put this only works for items right in front of the vacuum in a clear area. Having to use both hands is only really annoying when you need to move something, particularly if you are dusting but its not a big problem. If I need to put the vacuum down because I need one hand to move an item I have learnt to be careful where I put it down. I put it on a window sill once and as I moved the hose of course the vacuum moved as well and I only just caught it as it went tumbling over the side of the sill! The motor is quite noisy especially if you are reaching up to do high things like light fittings so the vacuum is right next to your ear.Overall great product and its really made life easier for me. That alone is worth a lot of money and I would happily buy this product again and would highly recommend it.

In BriefAs this vacuum saves me 5 minutes unpacking and packing 10 meters of extension lead and lugging heavy house vac it get 5 stars easy. Easy to use within a car, lighter than a house vacuum and gets to spots other vacuums just don’t.In detailThe vacuum isn’t that strong, and get significantly weaker if the filter is clogged up even with fairly light use, but the cars seem to accumulate fine dust. I find I wash the filter every 3rd or 4th time I use it and I use a brush the other times. The attachment allow for cleaning the carpets and getting to some hard to reach places e.g. front foot wells. The hose help manipulate the vacuum head while cleaning and really where this tool is the best for car use. While B&D do a car version of this vac you have to plug it into the cigarette lighter, which didn’t appeal to me, plus I don't have a boot power socket.I only use the vacuum for carpets and upholstery, rubber mats. I never use it on exposed plastic or paint, a wet cloth would be better. I have never needed to discharge the battery cleaning a car. I used it to clean two cars back to back, but to be fair the cars only need a quick once over. I use the vacuum very occasionally around the house for light use, where dragging a large hover out is over kill. The vacuum isn’t that powerful. I pick up heavy items or take the mats out first and just pat them down. The price yo yos from 60 to 100 gbp, I paid 75 from Amazon warehouse and I felt it was a little overpriced, I see it is currently 99 which is OTT.I expect the next generation of this vac to have the following:Better suction, the attachments needs to get into hard to reach place like in between front seat and hand brake. A better designed filter. Fractionally lighter. An attachment that can get fine needle leaves out of the carpet. The curved plastic handle on the hose makes it a little difficult to get angle in some places, but is perfect 90% of time. It needs to be fair price and a slightly better quality.

Well It took me ages to take the plunge on buying another cordless vacuum, after my last disastrous purchase of a Bosch Cordless vac, that's basically rubbish.I read lots and lots of reviews, had this in my basket for about a month before purchasing after reading a couple of conflicting comments.I will first start with the build quality,so far,i have not found a single issue with the build quality, nothing feels frail, the catches are robust, the way it empties is easy, its very easy to strip filter out to wash 10/10 B&D. My hobby is messy,i create mess every where, drop shavings and leaf muclh on the carpet, fish food etc, sand etc, this wonderful vacuum enables me to effortlessly clean this up instantly& easily, where as before it would be left as its a bind to go down stairs late at night & get the big dyson out & fight with its stupidly short hose! This is a dream machine for little clean ups & bigger spills like dropping a pot plant. The vacuum suction is superb,i cannot fault this for a cordless. With smaller clean ups etc you generally use the vac for 15 - 30 seconds, based on this and my intermittent usage including 1 quick car clean, this has lasted me 10 Days already and its still going strong.Obviously if you were to completely Vacuum the stairs top to bottom everyday it wouldnt last 10 days! Its surpassed my expectations on this.I also like to vac my electronic goodies to keep the dust out of them, like laptop, camera, lenses etc - this is my only gripe I really wish Black & Decker would make a round brush attachment! I love this machine, its saved me so much hassle,it makes my life easier by enabling me to be tidy as I go rather than be left with a huge cleanup.

I've owned the weaker version flexi previously, it was good but power and battery life/charging became just too much of an issue, so then I experimented with floor sweepers, where price has no meaning e,g. the £20 Bissell perfect floor sweep, literally wiped the floor with a GTECH costing nearly 3 times the price, these do save time, but all have the same problem, accessibility; into corners, edges, under raised furniture etc, I had looked at getting a premium hand held, like the Dyson, but the huge price put paid to that, there are others but again all pricey.By chance as I was looking at Amazon just at the time they had this as a lightning deal, hence paying under sixty quid,it's a lot better than the weaker version, it takes around 4 hours to charge, and has yet to run out during a clean, it is quite noisy which is kinda re-assuring (signifying a lot of power), it's very easy to set up, use, empty & to clean the filter, and there is another version with a floor extension. This isn't going to replace a normal corded vacuum cleaner, but for light use around the home or for cleaning the car/caravan/boat etc it is up to the task, improvements; I hate the naff brush, it's just to small and wimpy, it also quickly gets clogged with dust, I don't also like the charging station, it's just too cheap and lightweight, having used dust busters that cost nearly as much and yet don't pick up diddly, this Flexi is definitely highly recommended, however considering you can get a good corded vacuum cleaner for the same money, and which doesn't need charging, is convenience worth the cost ?.

Recommended. Meets stated run time of 15mins, at a constant suction, reasonably powerful and great for doing edges. At 25 airwatts (suction) it fairs well to other handheld vacuums. The Dyson DC34 does have a boost mode, that has significantly more suction, but than runs the battery down much quicker. It is lightweight (and smaller than it looks). Realistically you are likely to be using the hose in one hand and holding the vacuum in the other. As one person points out the exhaust is perhaps a little close what you are vacuuming when using it fixed with the hose wrapped, and to me the balance doesn't seem right using it this way. I don't find this an issue, the advantage of getting into tight spots wins my favour.I also like the flip down brush nozzle.Easily emptied, the filter will need cleaning regularly, but this is very easy to remove, and tap out the dust. It is washable, and it cheapish to replace (found here on Amazon for £9). Unlike a Dyson the performance will depend on how clean that filter is (in a Dyson less dust/dirt gets to the filter due to "the cyclones").The detachable hose/nozzle makes this much better option (for me) than the Dyson, and I want the long running time. If I really need the boost power offered by the Dyson, I think it is time to get the main vacuum cleaner out.A little annoyed the price has dropped by £25 only six days after I bought it - but that makes it a better bargain now!

What an astounding vacuum cleaner! It does have some minor drawbacks but nothing to get even remotely concerned about.1. The filter in the middle blocks with fine dust quite quickly - Now this is not necessarily a bad thing,(and there's a solution), it means that it's picking up everything for one, but it's easily removed, and here's the solution: buy a second filter, whilst one has been cleaned (with an old toothbrush and detergent in water) and is drying, use the other filter. There's plenty of time for one to dry whilst the other is still being used.2. It's a little awkward to use one-handed ie. on the stairs, but not impossible by a long stretch of the imagination, just that the weight wants to level it while you're leaning it down to pick up dirt (here my wife prefers our Dyson DC35)Spare batteries are cheaper I think and it has plenty of power, a good thing in my opinion, is that the switch to start it can be left on unlike the Dysons which have to be depressed to keep them running, so you can just concentrate on pointing the nozzle where you want.Although my wife prefers the weight distribution of the Dyson for one-handed operation, this wins in every other department and is rapidly becoming a go-to handheld in the house. For car vacuuming, this is in its element.I rarely find a product that exceeds its remit, but this is one such product.

Bought this item for my driving school car. For convieance and avoiding having to bring the house hover into the driveway with an extension cable especially coming into winter.Very dubious about which vaccume to buy as I didn’t want to spend “Dyson” level of money and didn’t want to go down the single hand vacuume. So the battery last about 20/25 minutes. First time I used this hadn’t cleaned the car in about three weeks, so lots of ground in dirt, stones, crumbs from the occasional sandwhich while working.Wasn’t expecting to lift alot of the ground in items but was very surprised how much it did pick up. Didn’t get everything but way more than I thought given the condition and time since the last hoovering, didn’t get the car cleaned in one go went through two charges, but again due to volume of what was there.I’ve changed my cleaning routine so give it a quick hover at the end of the day, taking less than 5 mins and can almost clean the car for the full week on one charge. This won’t give you heavy duty cleaning but very good for this level of use. If you are looking for the once every couple of months car clean might not be for you.Never used it in the house again regular cleaning would be serviceable for a quick once over but you would be emptying the hover a lot and probably not have a full house clean in a single charge.

I'm finding this vacuum useful for jobs such as cleaning the car where starting to faff around with extension leads etc can make things more complicated than they need to be. Moving on to the vacuum itself, in use the suction is reasonably good, but I wouldn’t call it impressive – rated at 1700 watts I was expecting it to lift anything that wasn’t nailed to the floor; in reality it has nowhere near the suction power of a mains powered vacuum. The supplied tools seem up to the job, however, as another reviewer mentioned the ‘bristles’ on the flip out brush won't stand up to extended use as several are deformed and facing the wrong way after only a few uses.I haven’t timed the endurance from first switching on until the battery is exhausted, but it has been more than good enough to cover a mucky car interior with lots of dog hairs thrown in without any sign that the battery was running down. One thing to note is that it’s very noisy, so e.g. starting on the car at 8am on a Saturday morning may leave you in the doghouse with the neighbours. Lastly, the price – I got this model for £70; I have noticed the price bouncing around, sometimes as high as £129. I’d suggest that £70 is a reasonable asking price; I wouldn’t be prepared to pay much more for an item which is adequate, but not particularly special.

I'm very pleased with this Black and Decker Lithium Flexi Vacuum cleaner. Although I primarily bought it for giving the cars a good go over, instead of having to get the old plug in Vac out of the garage. I bought this version, rather than the 12V car version as I wanted the flexibility of being able to use it anywhere without being tied to a 12V socket in the car with the engine on.As it is quite small, it will reach into every nook and cranny in the car, (and house) and the flexible hose will stretch a good yard/metre or so.It is certainly powerful enough to pick up the accumulated dried mud and small stones that seem to accumulate in the footwell, and also to get the dust out of the seats. In the house it is suited to small spills,as it doesn't have a long extension tube, any floor work will require you to bend down or kneel (unless you have very long arms). Not something I wanted to knock a point off as I knew that before I bought it.Great for the stairs, and high sills and perfect for taking out spiders webs on the ceiling. It is very easy to empty, the filter is washable, and a 3 hour charge will give you a good 15 minutes run time. Plenty of time for me to do 2 car interiors.I have also used it for cleaning up DIY jobs around the house and cleaning up whilst at work.

cons : the brush bristles could be a bit stiffer and more suction would of course be nicepros: Very nice design .. extremely ergonomic. the extending flexable hose is so useful for cobwebs on the ceiling .. this little vacuum is perfect for cleaning the car ... in fact with the different attachements its the easiest I've ever vacuumed in all the crevices and down the sides of the seats. This is not as powerful as a corded vacuum and therefore takes a little patience and extra time, but I have to say that once I got used to it ... the convenience of the size and design of it does make up for the gentler suction. Also in some cases the gentler sucking action is a bonus .. for eg when cleaning shelves with models on .ie gentle delicate dusting . Mind you ... with the brush folded back I cleaned dried mud off the kitchen floor and the end nozzle is tough enough to use as a scraper and then the loose dirt is sucked up. The little door that opens at the side to empty it is lovely . I mean honestly the person or team that worked on this really got it right. I'm also hoping that it will be good for sucking up spiders... oh i just realised ... you know how sheds are scary with spiders in ... you could take this with you for protection . bonus

Simply Brilliant.I had the older 12v (Non-Lithium) model from 3 or 4 years ago. I t was great but the battery finally died & wouldnt hold charge. This basically the same design but is a lot more powerfull due to new 18v Lithium Battery, and a full charge lasts for a lot longer (around 15 minute).I wanted to buy this for ages, but put it off as I could really justify spending £100 which I though was a bit steep for a small hand-held vacuumm.Anyway, after a few weeks of procrastination, I DID buy it & Im glad I did.I might be expensive, but is really is very good.- The unit is lightweight, so very portable & using it is a breeze.- The flexible tube has about a 1.3m reach at full extension enablingyou to get into alls kinds of nooks & crannies.- The suction is pretty powerfull & hasnt failed to suck up anything.- Very quick & easy to empty- 15 minute run time is great - I hardly ever have to charge the unit.1 minor niggle - the previous model a had a seperate motorised brush attachement which was really usefull & used often, but they no longer make one.To sum up, A bit expensive, but works brilliantly & Highly recommended.

I was so pleased with the B&D cordless strimmer it prompted me to look at their Lithium Flexi Vacuum. I already had a GTECH Multi but wanted another powerful hand vac for upstairs (being elderly I don't want to run up and down stairs). The reviews were good and it is cheaper than another GTECH Multi. Well, I would give it 6 stars if I could I love the hose idea, it means you can hold the cleaner in one hand and vacuum with the other, I have a dog which moults all the time and would have liked the dog hair attachment but the head that's supplied works well. |t was great for the stairs and the bathroom ,which was my main reason for small cordless vac upstairs, it worked so well again with the hose.As a comparison the suction of both vacs is similar i.e. very good but when doing the stairs with the Multi the dust pot kept getting knocked off. No such trouble with the B&D its impossible. Run time is good about 30 mins, again similar to Multi, I've read Dysons can be minutes only, As with the strimmer the quality is superb and it is well thought out. My only worry is where to get a replacement filter when I need one in a year or so.

Handy little battery operated vacuum cleaner, ideal for car / stair edges / furniture. Charges quickly via the base plate to give around 20 min of cleaning time before the battery fully discharges. Battery status is indicated by a blue LED on the side of the unit. Decent suction, and dirt is collected in the central plastic container, which is easy to open to empty and clip closed again. The central housing twists to remove the filter for replacing or cleaning (buy a spare so that you always have one clean and dry while the other is in for washing). The supplied crevice tool works well, and you can either use the cleaner configured as in the picture,or unclip the hose from around the cleaner to give more range - the unit sits neatly on your car seat while cleaning, or is light enough to hold in use. Unfortunately the other nozzle supplied (with folding brush) is not very good at all, and I have quickly replaced it with a generic 32mm round brush head (a fiver here on Amazon) that works much better. So in summary, a great little vacuum but the tools could be better.

Please bear in mind that I`ve only been using the cleaner for a couple of days but so far it`s been one of those novelty purchases that I reckon will always come in handy.Weighing in at a paltry 1.5kg and less than a foot high in it`s boots, I was dubious at it`s potential but as I`ve found in the past, Black & Decker came up trumps and although it`s not going to cause a tornado in your living room, it`s powerful enough to tackle most small-scale vacuuming jobs and especially the accidental ones which we all love to laugh about.I haven`t `tested` it in regards to how long it`ll last on a full charge but with a 1700 w motor, it sounds powerful and I`d like to think that being lithium ion,the battery should have the advantages of modern technology behind it.Apparently this one is going to be kept in the garage/workshop for clearing up worktops and small areas so it`s very possible that I`ll be getting another one to keep in the house. So to conclude ... A cute but useful gadget to keep handy wherever you decide to keep it.

This is a fantastic little vacuum does excately what is says in the description. It is powerful, light to carry, quick to charge,It is great for the car. I normally do not like using cordless cleaners in the car they just do not do the job, many are cumbersome and awkward to use in the small spaces you find in the footwells and around the seats but this one is great the extending hose and crevice tool mean those hard to reach places are now clean, it is as good as any mains powered cleaner but without the weight, size or mains lead.Around the house too this cleaner is fantastic to clean up after those accidental spills, pet hair etc, always charged and ready to go.The quoted run time of 15mins does not sound very long but it is plenty of time to fully clean the car, vacuum the curtains, or the chairs after the cats have been lounging in your favourite seat, as it charges in less the 3 hours even if you do run out of power you are up and running in no time at all.Highly recommended, well done Black and Decker.
