It's not very big, it's lightweight - and it's a little beast.My home office is what was once a brick and stone outhouse (no, not that sort of outhouse) - an unheated separate building of about 10 square metres internal area. After doing my homework on the size and type of heater I would need to work comfortably in winter I decided on the Dimplex.I'm very glad that I did. The heater warms quickly and can pump out a great deal of heat - if I wasn't careful with the power setting and thermostat this could easily make the office too warm to work in.The trick is to start it on the 2000W setting then after 20 minutes switch to 1400W and turn down the thermostat.

It heats up a room in just a few minutes. The only thing I found confusing is the red power light doesn't go off when you switch it off at the controls off the appliance, this only goes off by the socket switch so at first when I got it i didn't want to go out and leave it unattended until I was sure it cooled down. My smaller Dimplex heater light goes off when you switch off at the controls on The heater. The only other negative is the control knob is hard to see so the elderly would struggle. Other than that it is a good heater.

It is good value and heats a medium sized room quite quickly. However, its electricity consumption when switched to full power (2000 Watts) is very high - 33 x 60 Watt light bulbs! it should be monitored so that when warm it is switched to its lower power consumption and for the thermostat to be adjusted to remain at that temperature.

i had the oil filled radiator, I replaced it with this. what a difference. heats the room MUCH faster and controls the room temp better. you can really feel the heat pour out of this heater. I also tested the energy usage. this was much cheaper than the oil filled radiator.

Perfect for static caravan. Needed one for lounge and one for main bedroom which also warmed up rest of caravan. I would suggest the 2000w or above. Not instant heat as advertised but was fine after half an hour. I would recommend this heater for small to medium rooms.

Light, easy move able & effective background heating. The 1kw setting is more than enough to keep our conservatory comfortable to sit in, without the effects of any condensation.

I love it, it looks perfect in the fireplace. so realistic in look and feel that I almost want to throw real wood on it!

Have horrible storage heaters where we live these are so much better and don't dry out the air. Bought 1 for every room.

We replaced our old halogen heater in our conservatory this product heats the room so much better and it looks good too

It heat up my room very quickly,looks good,it's quiet. I'm glad i bought it but it's a little bit expensive to run .
