I bought this heater to replace one of the other brands/models I purchased from Argos, which had since died on me. (The ones with the flimsy plastic power cut-off pad on the base)This heater feels quite solid and robust in comparison to other cheaper heaters I've used in the past. The heat output is good and the coils inside don't glow orange, which I've always found disconcerting when they have done in the past. The controls are quick, simple and friendly using just 2 analogue dials for temperature setting (hot, warm, cold) and one for regulating the thermostat. There's no throwing harsh switches and watching blue sparks fly at your hand if you don't make a clean contact first time.I would have given it 5 stars, but there is only the one constant power/speed option and it's quite noisy; which can be distracting if you're watching a film/TV or talking to someone— although it's no worse than a struggling PC.I get the impression it was built to heat up a room quickly, where as I really only use it directly blowing towards me; it's more of a vice comfort than serving any sort of practical need, although it does this quite well.

Bought as i needed one for another room ( already have same make, old style, still going strong after 12 years) did however buy the upright De' longhi 3000kw but found it too big and strangely not as hot, so took it back and got the De 'longhi 3000kw HTF3033. Love this make, very reliable, easy to use, cuts off when the room gets too hot, has cool feature. Is a little noisy but think all those style heaters are the same. The kids use it to get dressed on a cold school morning, have to turn it off after 5 minutes as the room is hot enough and i have a big room!

I like that it heats the room well with a controllable heat range setting, which also acts either an auto-switch off control to space out the heat being generated (it can turn on and off on its own if you don't want Heat continuously blowing) or turns off when it gets too warm avoiding overheating. What I especially like is it doesn't emit any nasty smell while it is on a very high temperature setting which I have experienced using a different brand. Only let down is it is quite noisy.

A few years back I had purchased another De'Longhi flat fan heater, and was really happy with it until an accident left it unusable. It could quickly heat an average (for Britain)-sized room, and was very quiet - you couldn't always tell it was running, were it not for the stream of hot air it was blowing. This heater is also excellent in warming up an average-sized room, but it is much noisier than my previous one; in fact, it is a bit noisier than an average fan heater, thus 4/5 stars.

The fan heater is well built. Both dials feel like they will last a long time. It works as described, that is heats up the room fast and maintains the temperature. The air is directed slightly upwards, which is good. I am using it to heat my room. However it is noisy. The phone says 80dB at the air outlet and 50dB at about 6 feet from the unit. (30dB ambient)It woke me up the first night, especially as it turns on intermittently.I wish it had digital dials to set the room temp.

I bought this little fan heater simply to dry out the carpets in my boot. At first I thought I had made a mistake but when I saw how dry the carpets in the boot became I was very impressed and in a short time. Believe me the carpets were soaked with all the water getting into the boot but this gem of a heater did a fantastic job. I would definately recommend it to anybody. It also heats up a room in no time at all. Another feature it has, it turns off when it's too hot. Brilliant.

A nice looking 3kw heater & it does the job, we have even purchased a second one, we just use these heaters to give the rooms a quick blast on full power, not sure what the running cost would be running 3kw for too long but it does just what we want them to do & only needs a short period to warm the roon through, other reviews say that the blower is loud but we have nothing to compare this too & come on it is a poweful fan blower heater & not a problem for us, its also well made.

Had one of these before for around 8 years and it served me very well. It finally packed up last week. The fan stopped although the heat elements still came on (over heating because no fan) The unit was in use in a pretty dusty environment (Saw dust) which probably didn't help but on and off over 8 years is not bad. I looked for a replacement and there were some around £20-24 but searching further I found the exact model and for £5 more was happy to replace the original.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. We are using it in our Motorhome in Portugal at present and it completely warms the vehicle within one minute.Unusually for Portugal in the Algarve it has been quite wet and cold and this heaters output has put it into a different league than onboard air blowers and similar heaters and what's more you can set the thermostat to keep the area you are heating at a constant temperature. My wife and I just can't fault it.

We bought this devices as a cheap temporary solution for warmth when the central heating failed. Used for 5 days. Only down side is the running cost of it running all day for the period it added some £15.00 to my bill according to the smart meter for the period. when compared to my oil consumption the cost was around +50%. Just goes to show, don't heat your house with electric whenever possible. As an emergency tool when cold it did the job admirably.

I purchased this model in 2014 and it's been used constantly throughout the cold months.I have African pygmy hedgehogs and the room they live in needs a reliable room temperature. The thermostatic control works perfectly. Yes you do pay a little extra , no point in purchasing the cheap Chinese unbranded ten pound fan heaters that fail after little use. This model is reliable and mine is still working perfectly as I write this review.

Bought during the recent cold snap to supplement our electric heating which takes a while to heat up our large lounge/kitchen/diner. Using this heater for 15mins gets the room up to temperature quickly for the heating to then 'take over' and maintain that temperature. So while with its thermostat it can be used as a main source of heating we just use it as a boost to the main heating for which it's perfect.

I gave 4* for performance as it is quite noisey, but overall, it does the job of warming up our dinning room on colder days. I like the fact it has an thermastat so it not on all the time, it turns it self off and only comes on again automatically when the room temperture drops. Because its quite small and I have visiting children, I keep it up high on top of a book case with the wires behind it.

I bought this for my kitchen which gets so cold that sometimes my fridge even switches off. I have had other little heaters before but this one is by far the best. It is simple to use and heats very quickly. When the room is warm enough you can adjust the dial for the heater to come back on automatically if the room starts to cool again. I am very happy with this product.

Bought this to use in my loft when I had a frozen pipe. Kicks out plenty of heat at 3kw. Does have settings to reduce output. However, it states not to use on an extension lead which is what I needed to do. Ended up taking back for a refund. Decent product but as I had no mains power in loft I needed to use extension lead. Going out to buy a 1kw / 2kw heater instead.
