Central heating boiler kaput so bought some of these instead, untill we decide what to do. Very quick to heat up in living rooms. We have the 3kw one for the hall, which takes the chill off very well upstairs as well, although separate heaters are needed for each bedroom first thing in the morning. They all have timers, which is a must, & can be set to come on at four different times during the day. My only gripe is that the digital display on the 2kw heaters are not illuminated like the one on the 3kw so it's difficult to see when setting the functions, I had to tip them on their ends to see properly!! Having said that I would recommend them.

My very elderly father bought this, rather than the heavier and hard to dispose of, oil filled radiator. It heats up quickly, is easy to move around and has a good range of heat settings. It is also very nice to look at. They haven't had much use out of it yet (due to the warmer weather) and have no idea what it will cost to run. However, it does mean they are able to warm up one room without having to mess about putting the central heating on. It is very effective at taking the chill off a room, quickly. It does seem a little expensive for an electric fire but all in all, no complaints.

fab purchase!!! heats quickly and well in a large lounge.we have storage heaters and are very expensive so we are hoping this will be a cheaper option.goes on when we need heat and turns off when we dont need it!!! havnt tried timer yet but im sure we will work it out easily!!! this one is oil free so very light heater.but not too light that little ones could knock it over.sturdy thing.very good price considering too.wouldnt have gone for the cheaper oil ones as would be more expensive to run in the end.so oil free are bit more expensive but worth the extra £50 or so.thankyou.

I purchased this product towards the end of the summer 09 whilst in the sale,our heating broke down for 7 days before christmas on the first snowfall and so this came in to it's own.I can highly recommend this product the heat given was excellent ,no fumes and was sufficient enough to heat all of downstairs or upstairs once moved each at least 5 rooms.It's very light to move should you need to....The price may seem a little expensive against others but you get what you pay for and with the 3 year warranty makes it all worth while.

As a single parent with a child heating and electricity is expensive especially when you are unemployed. I resent having to put the central heating on when me and my child only use 1 room. I decided to get this based on reviews.. This is the best I've ever had and it heats a room 10ft x16ft room with door closed and large windows for me with out central heating in 6-10mins on high setting ! Smaller than my radiator on my wall and more powerful ! GET ONENOW and save having to put the heating on when you only need to heat 1 room!

I bought the Dimplex Cadiz Radiator recently to supplement our central heating as a lot of time we do not need to heat the whole house but just one room and this is ideally suited for the purpose. The heating is very efficient and quite quickly too. The timer function is extremely useful and the best part is it totally noiseless. It has castors to move from one place to another but the provision of a handle could have been an advantage but I'm certainly not complaining. Overall an excellent buy.

i purchased this heater as an alternate way to heat my small 1 bedroom house. for you peoples reading this,please note that my 2storage heaters were absoulutly useless, and most evenings i really felt the cold. I did not want to be as cold as i was last year. I purchased the Cadiz 2kw and set it to low heat in the mornings, and then to come on 1.5 hours before i got in from work, and i now have a nicely warmed home. My monthly electricity bill against last year is actually £6 less and ime warm.

Instant heat from the moment its switched on. My bedroom is nice and warm when I return from work. The built in programs are saved even if you lose power. I feel that the heat is distributed better when positioned more in the centre of the room, however due to big room and short cable it wasn’t possible without an extension cable. Can tie and tuck away cable when not in use. Easily rolls on carpet and light to carry. On the expensive side however with 5yrs warranty made it worthwhile for me.

I have very high ceilings and many, many windows in my Victorian conversion flat. I wanted a heater that would enable me to put off turning the heating on (v. high bills last year). This heats up my living room so fast that I have to turn it down within an hour. I can then move it into my bedroom and put it on the timer so that my bedroom and ensuite are toasty when I wake up in the morning. Don't yet know what it costs to run, but its got to be cheaper than running the entire heating system.

A fantastic heater well worth its cost!! Yes it's expensive but it's fantastic. I bought it because I've moved into a flat with electric heating which is very expensive. I put this on and so far at night only need it on for a couple of hours and the room is toasty til I go to bed. The chimney design is great. I love this heater, tis the dogs nuts and am toying with getting another for the bedroom/hallway as they'll pay for themselves next year by not having to put the electric heating on :-)

This purchase was for a friend, I purchased the exact same product 12 months ago and then a second one about a month later to warm my static caravan over the winter. I had both heaters on setting 6 (the highest) most of the time. When I went to work I turned them down to 3 and it was still lovely and warm when I got home about 6pm. I was worried about the cost of my electricity over the winter i had my 2 heaters running continuously from November to March my electricity bill was only £72.00

It's lightweight, it comes fully assembled, so as soon as you take it out of the box it's ready to go. I would recommend you look at the instruction leaflet that comes with it because you can't just plug in and away you go due to the 'program' settings, but it only takes 5mins to take care of that and then you're away. It heats up really quickly and the best feature I think is the fact that you can have the heat coming out of the top and one side or the top and both sides.

It works well and efficiently but the instructions are not clear or easy to follow.There are multiple instructions for different models all crammed into a small leaflet and it's confusing to read. It's actually easier to use than the instructions make out.The heating works as two panels and you can choose to use one side or the other or both for extra output. I would rather have a manual clock-style timer than this digital version which is the complicated part.

This is my 4th Dimlex radiator and the most expensive one. But I am the least happiest with this one. Its light weigh but large in terms of size. Heat up quick but also soon as u turn of its cool down the room too quick. If you leave the setting low, after 10minutes or so it affects the head and give a little headache. I need to buy the older model for my living room.What I like about this. Heats up quick, light weight. Delivery was quick from the supplier.

Excellent radiator, no smell when it heats up like other heaters. Very easy to use, heats up quickly. thermostatic control so your not throwing your money away. Looks great you can place it by a wall and only have the heat coming out the one side and top, you can actually turn the other side off to save wasting heat. Would recommend it to all. One negative I can think about is the price, but if you want quality you have got to pay for it, so its worth it.
