Firstly, it's obviously a bit more expensive than your bog standard heater, but that's OK, because it's kind of worth it. I would say it's slightly over priced, but not by much. It's a very good heater, provides a nice amount of heat, easily adjustable, not too big, not too small, and looks pretty cool with the big LED light around the fan. The downside obviously is that it uses quite a bit of electricity, but so do all fan heaters, so go figure. My favourite feature is the screen, which gives you a clear, concise read out of exactly whats happening. It shows what temperature the room is, what temperature you want it to be, and what setting you have it on. Very clear and instantly readable.

I wanted to review this heater after having used it for a month or so and am very pleased to report that I am definitely happy I chose this one! I bought two for my children’s rooms, as my “husband” turns the heating off at night, and they have remained very reliable so far. They keep the kids rooms ticking over at a comfortable temperature, which you set by pressing a control switch, and it warms up to that temperature then switches “off” onto standby until it automatically needs to give another heat boost. The only down side is they emit a high pitched “peep” when they turn on again, which doesn’t bother the kids but means I have to keep making sure the doors are closed so they don’t get noticed!

The dimplex heater is an outstanding product. The temperature controls automatically turn the fan on and off to maintain a prescribed temperature. No timer is available and this can cause an issue if you leave the home with the heater still operating (silent during cooling periods and full heat during heating periods, etc). The heater also has a very very bright status display which is always on and acts like a night light. Be aware the brightness is intense in pitch dark rooms. So, this is a saving grace to remind one to unplug the device when not in use. The red glow ring around the heater exhaust is also very pronounced giving the feeling of extra heat.

The Dimplex is smart looking, well built and easy to use. Simple controls and an excellent clear display screen show current room temperature, set thermostat temperature and fan function (hot, half hot, or cold). The thermostat appears to be a lot more accurate than standard cheaper fan heaters. The Dimplex is not too loud for a fan heater, but it is a fan heater so don't expect near silence. The blue backlit display panel and the colour changing rings make the fan look hi-tech and the red ring makes you feel warmer by its glow, but could be a problem if you want to use in a bedroom at night and like a dark room for sleeping.Not the cheapest fan heater out there but I love it and if it lasts

I bought one of these Dimplex digital heaters some time ago, unfortunately it developed a fault, so, I returned it & got a refund.When I tried to buy another, none were available (from Argos) so I bought a lesser one regretfully.Since they re-appeared in Argos, I purchased another.So far this one is working fine, my main consideration was this item carries a 3 year warranty, that was the deciding thing.It is an expensive heater, but, if like me, you seek quality, this Dimplex heater seems to fall in that category.Happy (so far) with my purchase......

I've used fan heaters for years as I find the cold easily, and this is the best one I've had. I bought it to replace the exact same model which lasted well over a year with constant use. The heating coils do get clogged with dust and they're awkward to clean, but I'm yet to find a heater where that isn't an issue. It looks great as well and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb! It is worth being aware that the light is quite strong, and at night it will cast the whole room in red or blue. Overall it does the job!

This little monster heater is super powerful and absolutely great, in all senses; It really does the job and is ideal for small to medium sized rooms. The only "downside" I found is - a bit pricey, but still recommend it. Sleek design, looks good with interior, small and lightweight. (It replaced my hairdryer). Performance is good, however, it shuts off when the temperature gets too hot. (I don't personally like that, but I guess it's normal) Don't get me wrong, overall it's fantastic.

I love the fact that the fan heater switches off when the desired temperature has been reached and on again when the room temperature has fallen thereby keeping the temperature in the room always constant. Since we switch off the central heating in the night, the fan heater keeps the temperature in my room constant and I can sleep very well. It can also be used as ventilator in summer. A real quality product which I can really recommend and would always buy again..

A small product with a big output. I bought this heater to help keep my daughter warm going off to University to her new digs. She loves it not only because it keeps her warm and cosy but also because space is of the minimum it fits in neatly. She likes the fact that it cuts out when its achieved the temperature required and also the light showing that the heater is functioning she finds useful especially at bedtime and when going out to remember to turn it off.

Good at heating large rooms fairly quickly and quietly. Made externally from robust materials.As this product is fairly new I cannot comment on longevity, all my previous fan heaters have never lasted a full winter.We tend to always be shifting heaters from one place to another and I think the filaments get damaged when hot and bumped.I'm not going to ever use this as a cooling fan. However a quick test shows its not going to be much use as a fan.

I like the stylish nature of the product and that it doubles up as a fan. It heats a large living room quickly and it is helpful that the digital display is clear to read from a distance. The heater has two settings but you'll need to use the second - full blast!It lights up red/blue (dependent on whether you're using it as a heater or cool fan) and isn't particularly quiet so probably not the best option for the bedroom if you're a light sleeper.

This heater works very well and heats confined areas such as bedside or an office space quickly. It is relatively quiet compared to others and has a very easy to use backlit thermostat and controls. Couple of minus points is that it does need to be kept about two feet away from anything else as it soon reaches the temperature and also the brightness of the glofan disc can be a little off putting. Overall a very good heater

Generally never review things unless i really really like or really really hate - honestly best purchase I've ever made! This fan has been excellent and gives of the best heat. I also bring it with him and its handy in my office too - very portable and light but the heat it gives off too is honestly top quality. you can switch to cold air in seconds - love the look of it and the lights really set it off. would recommend

Great little heater for a small to medium sized room.The LED lights are a little bit of a gimmick to be honest , but the ambient temperature sensor and display are very helpful.You can set the temperature you want and the heater will heat the room until it's reached it, and will come back on again if the temperature drops.It's not the quietest floor heater I've used but it's not a big problem.

We have over the years tried many different heaters, all saying they are the best. This time I thought I would spend a bit more and hope it was better.So glad I did, within mins the whole room was warm, I love the temp read out of the room and what I've set the max so you can see if the room temp has dropped. I've only used it to warm up the room so far but it's says it's also a cool fan.
