On purchasing this product (two infact) I was looking for a movable heat source that was quick and effective. The units do emit more noise than expected but as long as you do not sit on "on top" of them then they are fine. You can control the unit directly from the console on the front or via the small credit card sized remote control (battery included).The unit can oscillate if desired to help spread out heat more quickly and has a low or high heat setting. The user can set the heater to go off at a pre-determined temperature setting and the heater will automatically come on and go off to maintain that temperature. Alternatively the user may set the heater to come on for a set period of time (increments of 1 hour - up to something like 12 hours)

I have a relatively small Studio Apartment and needed to find a heater that I could place in the corner of the room without taking up too much valuable space. I wasn't at all disappointed with this purchase, it does a good job of warming up the whole room in little time. It is capable of warming my entire Studio within 5 mins.A couple of things can be improved. Firstly, if you power down the heater at the AC Socket, it will not remember your preferred temperature and will default to 25˚C. I would prefer if it stored the setting. Secondly, you can't set a timer to turn it on.. there is only a power down timer. Thirdly, the fans aren't quiet therefore if you're a light sleeper and need this to warm the bedroom it might keep you awake.

We have been looking for over a year for a stylish, reasonably quiet and efficient heater and this certainly fits the bill. For the price and compared to normal floor fan heaters this is a cracking heater and highly recommended.ProsGood build quality and finish. Only small comment is that there is a little play in the base unit but this is not a problem.Stylish. A modern slim-line black and silver heater.Quieter than most. Not so much that it is quieter but it hums as opposed the higher pitched noise that most heaters make. I would say it is acceptably noisy rather than quiet and is fine if you are watching TV with the heater a few feet away.Effective.

I saw this heater in a local shop and thought it looked good and it was quiet.Which? magazine gave it an amazing " Best Buy" score so it was a no braainer that this Dimplex product was the one to have.The price of £89 including in Prime delivery seemed fair, the heater arrived promptly and it was a breeze to set up, the remote control took a little longer as to slide the battery compartment out of thee control you need to press and pull at the same time, this is not obvious from the pictures in the manual but you find it on the label of the remote.Once this was done everything worked as it should.Which?

Very pleased with heater. Doesn't take up much room, looks good, easily portable, heats room quite quickly and doesn't make much noise. Remote control is a nice touch as well. The only negative is not about the heater itself but about the description of it on Amazon as a 'Towel' heater. This is clearly a misprint. It is a ' Tower' heater - identical to the ones being sold by other sellers at prices between £92 and £110. I paid £74 for this but I wonder how many people have been misled and paid up to £35 more thinking this was something different - an 'L' of a difference!

We have a very large kitchen diner and when the underfloor heating isnt on the huge wall radiator isn't quite enough to make it as toasty as I like. Enter this little baby!! Not hugely quiet nor hugely loud. Beautiful sleek glass at the back and a black glass stand makes this very contemporary. The heating goes up to somewhere in the 30s and heats up the room very quickly. Cheap to run too so ideal if you're on a budget. Warning! Due to the great heat it gives out, It does attract cats in to a room you dont really want them in and causes them to hog the heat!

I bought this as I dislike using storage heaters in my place and don't like leaving heating on overnight or when I'm not around. This thing is great. Heats up the room fairly quickly especially if turn on the full setting for a quick blast although it can be a little noisy. The remote control is a nice touch so when you're on the sofa getting a little Chilly you can just flip it on. It also looks smart, guests always think its a speaker or cd player....... Until you blast them with hot air.

A great looking heater can sit anywhere in our house without looking cheap or like a heater even! works really well and the remote is a good idea.I do wish it had a timer in it so you could set it to heat up a space before you entered it say overnight,rather than the timer it comes with which just turns it off. other than that it heats a room quickly and is actually quite quiet. Just wished this winter had been a bit colder as haven't needed to use it as often as i would have liked too.

Purchased this fan as a stop gap for our boiler on the blink. This really was worth the money, the instant heat generated is perfect, the build and quality of the product feels robust and will last quite a few years. The finish to the fan looks good enough to leave in the room, and to not have to remove and hide away. The fan has several settings, easy to use and understand. Remote control for the fan is very handy, shame there is not a place to keep the remote within the fan itself.

Unfortunately I have had to return 2 of theses heater and this is the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars. This heater heats the room in no time and also keeps the temperature the same with its built in thermostat. It is quite cheap to run and very quiet. I did have to return my first one because it was damaged in transit. The second one was returned because it it developed a funny noise after having it for about 2 weeks. However because it was so good I got another one

Bought this to take the chill off our 3M x 3M conservatory. Nice looking heater, very easy to use both manually or via the remote control. Heats up quickly, oscillating feature is helpful to distribute heat. Also has a timer which is an excellent idea because you can set the heater to run for a certain period of time, shut the conservatory door and walk away from it without it running for hours by being forgotten and costing a fortune to run. All in all a good buy.

This tower heater looks so good and modern, delighted with it. Not only does it look great but the functions are so modern and the heat is wonderful. Looking forward to using this item and keeping our hall warm for the winter and as the heater looks so cute I can use this heater anywhere. Very, very pleased with heater, the good arrival date and the excellent conditon in packing and it came in very good condition. Happy with the little remote too to control same.

If you want to stand in front and warm yourself buy something else, but nice modern look good features and does warm my large 20ft by14 room, remote is great, cooling down fan is lot more powerful than actual heat fan, high /low setting aren't much different, Displays room temp but it always reads 21oc even when it feels like -1, there's no red glow off element which would make it look warmer but if it lasts few years I'll be happy as I got it discount.

The instruction leaflet makes several references to the display, but fails to say or show in a diagram where the display is. It also explains how to set the timer, but fails to indicate what the purpose of the timer is. It can be set in units of 1 hour up to 12 hours, but does that mean it will switch the heater on or off in one hour's time? The wording of the whole leaflet could be much clearer about the precise purpose of all the controls.

I purchased this heater for my mum as lounge quite big to heat, and needs a boost now and again.My mum is over the moon, it does everything it says and is easy for my elderly mum to use, the remote is great, however did find it needs to be near fan heater.It looks stylish and fits in well with mums other furniture. We have only had it on low heat setting but that is enough. Did think it was abit expensive but is well worth it. Very happy
