when my daughter sarah rang and said she had broken her slow cooker i thought how can i help .so i looked through ebay and found the crockpot a high quality product at an excelent price and great quality . it was deliverd within 48 hours .my daughter and her own family will benefit from the new crockpot .as a busy woman she has little time to stand cooking good healthy meals with the crockpot she can put it all in on time and it will be ready later a excellent piece of kitchen equipment.i would highly recomend all buyers of slow cookers look at the crockpot first thank you regards gary

I'm so glad that I bought 6.5l size. It's perfect for family of 3. Keeping in mind that you can only fill it to 3/4, you can prepare nice meal and leftovers to use in next days. It cooks very nicely, quiet, easy to clean. My electricity bill dropped remarkably. I have almost switched from cooking on stove to using slow cooker only. One thing I miss is having a led light that says it's on. But maybe it's better as it would consume more electricity. Love this product. Surely best thing I bought!

Hubby got this for me and my daughter to play with. We browned the meat in a pan, added chopped veggies and stock, and six hours later we were eating yummy and tender meat and veg in a gorgeous sauce. The ceramic dish is heavy and we found it a little tricky to clean as it is black so hides the residue well, but we’ll try dishwashing it next time. The controls are simple and we love the clear lid so we can see what’s going on (we resisted the temptation to lift it and stir!). A great purchase.

I bought this slow cooker to replace one that seemed to have lost its low/high settings. I have made a dish that would have fed 8 people and it took up about half the slow cooker. I didn't mind the absent of an 'on' light because the outer casing warms up quickly. I used the 'keep warm' function for a couple of hours before we ate and the food was indeed at eating temperature. I did test the high and low settings and looking through the glass lid I am not sure low is that different from high.

I was admiring my daughters new purchase and was surprised at the price Argos offered it to its customers. I ordered the Crock-Pot for myself and use it daily. Easy to use, delicious meals cooked, the meat is so tender and using the large 6.5litre pot, I can bulk cook and freeze for another day. Recipes inside instruction leaflet, but the website for this particular Crock-Pot offers a wider variety of delicious meals to make. Highly recommend to other customers, a must buy for busy families.

This slow cooker is huge, way over twice the size of my two others. The controls are limited in comparison to some other makers, but in my opinion the three controls (slow, higher and simmer) do the job perfectly well. I did read reviews before purchase and one criticised the heat on the outside during cooking? Common sense is needed - avoid handling while and to keep out of reach of children. Otherwise an excellent produce, at the right price when I purchased them, and I would recommend it.

I am so happy with this crock pot. I do not regret buying it at all. I had my other one for a few years and it sadly cracked. I decided to go for this make and model this time and i am pleased i did! It is so easy to use. Plug in and turn the dial. The pot itself is not too heavy when you have to take it out to clean it. The size of it is perfect for my family of five. I previously had a 3.5, it did do well portion size but at least with this one you can cook more if needed. 100% recommend.

FANTASTIC - easy to use productIt is as simple as plugging it in and turning a knob.Just put your meat in an for get about it.It dose the job and dose it well .Not like other products where it dose 20 different tings and takes a degree in physics to use and breaks every day.It dose exactly what it's ment to do . COOK SLOW.And the results are unreal .The chicken I made was the best , succulent- juicy chicken I have ever had outside of a quality restraint .Highly recommended !!!!!:)

I was in 2 minds after purchasing as I was not sure how long I could go away and leave food in this? However, it comes with a small booklet with a lamb recipe suggesting 10 hour cook. It’s large enough to feed a group of 4 to 6 people. I’m looking forward to feeding family members they come to visit with the freedom to go and collect them whilst the food is cooking. Very pleased with my purchase. comes with 2 serving spoons (one slotted) and heats up quickly. No funny “new” smells either!

This is a good size family slow cooker. It says enough for 6 people and I'm sure you could easily fill it in order to do so. It's not the prettiest looking thing on my worktop but it does what it says and cooks food well. I would suggest this product could be improved by having a little light on it to show when its on. Also remember to place it on a heat proof mat as the feet are metal and get hot too, despite their rubber pads. Perfectly functional, good value slow cooker, recommended,

My wife and I bought this Crock-Pot after having another Crock-Pot, but with a smaller capacity bowl, that we've used for many years. In getting this model we wanted a larger capacity bowl and easy to use controls. This one has low and high cooking settings and a keep warm setting. It takes about 4 to 6 hours to cook a joint. But the juices aren't lost as in an oven and the food is tasty as a result. We bought two, one for my wife to use for her soap making, and the other for our food.

feeds my family if 4 adults and 5 kids. amazing stews casseroles hot pots currys and so much more.. i love it so much I'm hooked no more evening cooking after a ling day when your dead on your feet.. wake up load in the ingredients add the water and stock turn it on and go about your day then settle down for an amazing meal with such little effort that you actually feel as tho someone els had cooked your family a fab meal. what's not to love.. shame it can't clean the house lol...

This is a large slow cooker that can fit all the ingredients in even for US recipes that tend to be larger and which we struggled to do in our previous slow cooker. When it arrived the lid was from a smaller sized cooker but this was quickly replaced without any issue. There is no auto hold function when cooking is complete however this was a trade off we were willing to make.The bowl is very easy to clean and the whole unit isn't much larger than our previous 3.5L cooker.

If I could give 100 stars I would. I don't usually write reviews but this product is certainly worth my time. I bought this to make a certain recipe for my family and wow they adored it! The size well it's just huge, perfect for Tagines, curries and just about anything.Autumn and winter is just around the corner so please add this to your wish list it will never let you down, it also looks like an expensive gadget not some cheap flimsy thing. I love, love, love it...

These modern slow cookers have the electric cable attached (cannot be stored inside the pot). Heating elements appear to be in the sides of the cooker therefore they get extremely hot. Boiling point reached too quickly on both settings for a 'SLOW' cooker. I cooked a large joint of beef on the 'WARM' setting (which you are instructed NOT to do!!!!) This was a huge success after many hours of cooking.I recommend this slow cooker because it will actually 'SLOW COOK' on 'warm'.
