On receiving the slow cooker on 31/08/2017 I found a very noticeable fault in the bowl ie an indent. I contacted Swan customer services outlining the problem and they agreed to send me a replacement, but only after they had received the faulty one!! When the replacement was delivered 15/09/2017 I was horrified to find worse defects, which were lumps and bumps around the rim and shadowing of the bowl. I once again contacted Swan customer services who informed me that each item is passed through their quality control however I fail to see how this bowl was passed as I would not have purchased this as a second quality. They also informed me that they cannot guarantee that any replacement I am sent will not have similar defects. This to me questions the effectiveness of their quality control which as I see it is non-existent!! The pity is although the actual cooker is aesthetically very nice the quality is abysmal. Therefore I will be asking for a refund .

I did have to return the 1st one sent to me as it arrived with a big dent in the back off it & chipped bowl. Items really shouldn’t be checked. When I got the new one, used it a few times for making soup and pulled pork- the ceramic bowl started to crack so that has been replaced and seems to be fine now.I had the old swan cooker and it had the metal bowl insert that I prefer to this ceramic/stone style, as you could use it on the stove and in the oven.I’m not to keen on the new style and the bowl is quite heavy so I’m usually paranoid I’m going to drop it and smash it.

...but I love this! Have made three things with it so far in three days (a record for me) and it is a WONDERFUL thing! Everything cooked perfectly. It also looks great and is easy to clean. I'm being careful with the knob as other reviews have mentioned they broke theirs (but seriously how difficult is it to fix a plastic knob?! Hardly worth getting irate over at this price). I'd definitely get one if I were you. You'll find yourself eating vegetables and everything and we all need building up in the pandemic.

I love my stews in the winter and this little cooker has them cooking slowly with ease. It makes the beef chunks so tender. The only thing I would say is although the cooker basin is very easy to clean, the actual inside of the cooker seems impossible to remove cooking stains as it's made of a different material. But you don't see that as the cooking basin sits on the top.Great cooker, I've used it several times. And you can confidently leave it on Auto cook as it adjusts itself as it cooks.

I brought this after returning to work full time and was worried about how I was going to get dinner ready for my family every night! It’s been absolutely amazing! Heats up fast, easy to use, and cooks meals perfectly. It’s easy to wash up afterwards too so all in all a win for our household! It’s also nice to look at so I can keep it on the kitchen side when not in use - others I looked at were not so nice looking. Definitely value for money!

Love my S/cookers so much I got this one (now 4, 2 small and 2 bigger) does the job and looks really impressive on the counter. Do most of my cooking in the SC. Roasts, stews etc. going to try bread in this new one today. Highly recommend this and any slow cooker they make me look like a great cook, when all you have to do is leave it cooking for the specified time and come back to a scrummy meal.

I had one before over the years (many) it was looking grubby I have used the new one at least three times a week for curries also chicken & lamb dishes the food is delicious I prepare the veg & stock and meat night before leave in fridge over night then place it into the slow cooker. There is low high or auto which ever one suits you for time.Especially this time of the year it’s the best

It's a very good slow cooker. Does all you need it to do and cooks everything perfectly. Easy to clean as main pot removable and can go into dishwasher. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because the auto mode isn't great, it says it starts on low and then builds up to high at the end but after 6-7 hours of waiting it definitely was not on high towards the end. Otherwise a great product

When my last Swan Slow Cooker died after 30 years I made the mistake of replacing with a different brand... huge mistake!! Going back to this Swan Slow Cooker was the best move. I love the fact it has an 'auto' setting & it keeps the food lovely & hot... really easy to clean & the glass lid means you can see what's happening inside, just hoping this one lasts another 30 years ?

Amazing product and very good value. This is the most handsome slow cooker that I have ever seen. It is easy to use, heats up quickly and cooks the food evenly and well. I had a few problems to begin with but the company VALUTECH were amazing. They replied to my emails immediately, they were very helpful and supportive. I would recommend a purchase from VALUTECH again.

Bought this to match the rest of my swan retro green collection. Looks great although I must say the handle on the lid and the control switch do feel a little cheap, like a coated plastic. Also the glass on lid feels a little thinner than my last Slow cooker. But other than that I'm quite pleased. Cooks well, used it a few times making stew and curry.

There are cheaper slow cookers on the market, but I chose this to match my kettle & toaster. It looks classy and works fine. I cooked a large joint of pork in it - no water - it cooked in its own juices. The outcome was beautifully tender cooked pork, and a perfect tub of pork dripping... but if you want crackling, you'll have to cook that separately.

This is the perfect size crock pot. It was super easy to clean, not overly complicated to use . We made chili in it and it turned out perfectly. It doesn't get too hot even on high but cooks your food thoroughly. I like that it looks vintage and retro but still modern. If you want a good product at a reasonable price, this little pot does the job.

I do love a good slow cooker, and this one is probably one of the best I've ever owned. The quality and design of this is very retro which goes with the theme of our kitchen. All I would say is you have to be careful as the consistency of the cream colour does not run throughout there whole line of products. I do however recommend this.

It is lovely looking appliance and works very efficiently. My only disappointment was that it does not have the 'warm' function. My last slow cooker enabled you to cook in the time required on high or low and then when the meal was ready you could put the setting to warm to maintain it whilst you completed the rest of the meal.
