I bought this to replace our old Cookworks one which had been used regularly for years (it still worked fine but husband dropped the pot and broke it!)These are great value for money, in my opinion better than more expensive brands. Size is perfect for a family of 4-5, has just the right amount of heat settings (high, low and warm) and this new black version looks smart and is an improvement on the old white one.My only mark down was because the pot isn’t dishwasher safe but not a big deal.

I’ve only used this once, but it seems to provide sound, no frills cooking at a reasonable price. I used the recipe included for ratatouille and produced a straightforward ratatouille, on the low setting, in 8 hours. I’m sure this cooker will be great when we have guests and don’t want to be cooking after a day out. Would also be great for home cooked family dinners for working parents. The capacity is easily enough for four or more. The casserole is smart enough to take straight to the table.

Bought this to replace my other slow cooker which sadly and annoyingly fell apart. On a budget so stuck with something cheap yet with good reviews. Basic functions but does what it's supposed to without any issues. I have used this several times already to make a lentil soup and it's incredibly handy to use while I have a busy day. I simply pop the ingredients in and go about my day. Ca use the fast (4 hour)or slow ( 7/8 hour ) setting depending on your needs.A must for busy households

All in all this is a good little slow cooker. It looks the part and has easy to see temperature settings and a good size control knob. It is truly a slow cooker. I brought this one to replace the one that I'd had for the last 8 years. When I came to use it I assumed that the cooking times would be the some as my old one. It was not ! The dish that I cooked took an hour longer to get to the same stage as my old cooker. Now that I know this it's not a problem. I would recommend this slow cooker.

This is an ideal and inexpensive product that has quite literally changed our home life. My wife works full time while I am retired and I have been doing all the cooking except the odd meal at weekends. Now my wife is able to get in to the daily cooking act which she loves to do! We are now able to prepare recipes together in the evenings in our small and cramped kitchen and hey presto, like magic, the dinner is all ready when she returns home tired from work! This has proved a marital boon!

I brought this Slow Cooker for my grandmother as a Christmas present and although sceptical at first she is now loving it. The instructions are clear and precise and it doesn't take up much space on her side. She is in her 70s now and the weight of the internal bowl suits her fine. The 3.5l capacity also means she has leftovers to freeze as well insuring she has several home cooked meals to hand on busy days. I am regularly getting texts and pictures from her about what shes cooking.

I actually exchanged the 3.5L for the 6.5L whilst I was still in the shop as it was too small. I was unsure of the internal size of the actual croc pot so I asked to look at it whilst when I collected it. So glad I did as it would have been too small for a family sized chicken or joint of meat. The 6.5L is perfect. It cooks really well, comes with a recipe leaflet. I have used it several times now, pleased with the results and looking forward to trying some of the recipes in the leaflet.

I've only used it once so far, but it worked perfectly. It's the perfect size for a small family or for a single professional (me) to make a big pot of something to eat through the week. I got it especially for making broth from bones, which is what I used it for this first time, and it's perfect – on the high setting and with the lid on, it boils gently for hours without losing much (if any) liquid; definitely preferable to doing it on the stove and more energy-efficient as well.

I bought this for my 83 year old Aunt and she thinks it is fantastic, effortless to use, easy to clean and the ‘best think since sliced bread’!!!She loves it and cooks more with it than her oven and she thinks her stew, chicken and lamb dishes taste so much better and very tender. She does have one complaint ... the lovely smell as it’s cooking torments her so much she has to close the kitchen door! Fantastic value for money and so easy to use. A must buy for every kitchen.

I bought this Slow Cooker and used it to cook a chilli for friends, you still need to prepare and cook everything before you put it in the slow cooker, so in that sense it actually takes longer and makes more washing up, for chilli at least, but at least I could get most cleaning up done before friends arrived. The Chilli tasted basically the same as when I usually cook it.I’m sure there are other meals more suited to a slow cooker, I’ll give one of those a go next.

The family has shrunk from 5 to 3 so a smaller slow cooker was required. This is perfect. I’ve cooked several times using it and it’s brilliant. I’ve used all three settings and they do what they say. I used the warm feature to reheat a chilli and it was great after a few hours. For the price it’s ideal, especially with colder weather coming soon. I have put the cooking pot in the dishwasher a couple of times and it was fine but at the price I felt willing to risk it.

This slow cooker is a fantastic addition to our household! With both my partner and I working full time, this device helps us make filling succulent meals with minimal effort! My favourite thing to use this for is either roasting a chicken or making curry, and all you have to do is throw all of the ingredients in, put the timer on low and you come home and it’s ready to eat when you are!!! An amazing device which can save money on electric/gas as well whilst cooking!!

An excellent purchase !I was always wary of buying Cookworks products, but the last 3 I've bought (including the slow cooker) have proved my doubts were unfounded. The slow cooker performs well, and it's handy glass lid lets you see how things are going. Great value for money also !The glass kettle I bought recently too, does a superb job with it's variable heat settings and looks stylish and is a great price (the most important factor for me!)

Very pleased with my Cookworks 3.5L Slow Cooker. So far I have cooked a mouth watering Stew, which could have easily fedfour people. I have just cooked Chilli con Carne which again is really tasty and could feed three or four people, as you would be adding rice to the meal, cooked separately on the hob.To be able to prepare a meal before going to work and coming home to something that smells a treat when you come through the door is amazing !

i use slow cookers a lot. they are great for everyday cooking, and this one is no exception. I have used it at least 3 times a week since purchasing it, and i am probably going to buy another. I have always had traditional round ones before, but this one being oval, is perfect - i cooked a chicken in it this week, it cooked to perfection, and slow cookers keep the electric bill down as well, as they really are so economical! I just love them.
