I absolutely love this steamer.I bought it because the price of it was an absolute steal and the brand is excellent (based on previous items I have bought).They normally sell for over £100 each and if you had paid that for one, you wouldn't be disappointed.This item even exceeded my expectations of quality from this manufacturer. It is heavy and immaculately built.I also own a modern electric steamer, where you can cook your vegetables etc. very healthily.This WMF steamer is a whole new ball game!It infuses food with flavours of the stocks etc. Rather than just hot water steam that adds no taste to your food but cooks it nicely.This one for example. The item is solid, strong, heavy...as you would expect of a high quality roast pan.Beware that the lid supports a max temperature of 100°C, therefore I wouldn't put it inside the oven, otherwise you will damage the thermometer.Regarding the parcel delivery system...IT WAS BRILLIANT... not only I received it on time but also DPD sent me a mail in the morning with the approx. time that I would receive the parcel...This was fantastic because I didn't have to stay at home the whole day waiting as it usually happens with other agencies.Very happy with the experience and with the product (I paid only £30 which seems to me a gift).

The capacity of water in this steamer is limited. Once u have something to steam for several hours, u have to open the lid then u are able to add water. But the temperature inside will definitely reduce and lengthen the cooking time. Also, for some cuisine it is better not to open the lid. So I think this steamer is better for steaming something in short time rather than long time cooking. I also find it is better to but the silicon sealer. Otherwise the steam emits quite a lot. It's definitely not good for cooking Chinese bun and other Chinese cuisine.

It is now the best gadget in my kitchen. I use it just for the steaming: Everything comes out of it tasty and very healthy. When I come back from work I chop up some vegetables (not so thin) and say a fish (I love full fish like bass or a bream) chuck in lemon grass, some herbs, spring onions and/or garlic. I also put some of the peelings of the vegs in the steaming water to give more taste and nice smells. I steam around 80 degree. And you have a meal 15 max. Yunmy...

Great pan-construction quality top notch as you would expect from WMF.Can be used on hob or in oven as has a Trans-Therm base which allows you to do a lot more than just roast.I have added a vitalis steamer insert which means you can do your stew and veggies all in the one pan-and I got this at a knockdown price-so very happy.

I wanted to buy one but I looked for one in Spain and the cost was 140 euros so, when I saw the price in amazon.co.uk I did not doubt and I got it. The result is superbe, you get our fabulous Spanish veggies "al dente" and you can even cook fish and seafood frozen in 5 minutes. So I strongly recomend this item to you.

This roasting pan did not disappoint. I have a number of items from this great company.By turning the lid upside down, this pan fits quite well in the top oven too ?

I could not belive when I saw this item for this price! It's a bargain, because it has the wonderful quality WMF, perfect size. Go for it, without a second thought!!!
