9.5 UK Fits perfectly with my wide size 9 UK feet. I used to buy 10 UK and tie them tightly but as I've grown up, my ego has receded a little. They look a little plain and straight-laced, as it were, but they might get overlooked if you fancy wearing something comfortable to work and don't feel like trapping your feet between the gentle bondage of leather upper and rubber sole. Speaking of which, the soles on these are very comfortable and make walking a few miles or just standing on your feet all day a breeze.I wouldn't go so far as to say the soles are bouncy like some well known comfort trainers that inevitably wear out after six months. No,these look like they will last the distance. They claim to be both breathable and waterproof which to my mind sounds like nonsense but I'm not a scientist... To that end, I can say that having worn them on a hot summer day and having the sun shine directly on them my feet got very warm and I had to move my foot into the shade. That said, my feet were not sweaty so perhaps that's something. It also indicates that perhaps I should steer away from puddles lest I push the boundaries of science and technology to its limits. So I can't say I've pushed these to the fullest (63km / 37 miles last week) but they have held up nicely, took no breaking in, averaging 9km a day, I didn't even think about taking it steady on day one and once I had the laces tightened correctly on my left shoe, I was foot loose and fancy free, as it were.

This review is for the following item(s):Columbia Men's Woodburn II Waterproof Trail Running Shoe. The shoes in question were sold & delivered by Amazon.I am rating them as a 5 star product. These shoes fit perfectly, look great and have to be the comfiest hiking shoe I have ever owned.... I have had a few brands in my time such as adidas terrex, Reebok & Solomon gortex units as I live in Scotland, so a breathable waterproof shoe is a must for me.The break in time was zero & felt great from the minute I put them on.These units are the waterproof version of this model & boast the following two great technologies: omni-tech & techlite. The hiking trainers in question retail on the manufacturer UKwebsite for £90 so I got a fantastic bargain at the time of this review (09.05.2020).Its important that I have a good quality & comfy shoe with decent support due to a back injury. It is very doubtful moving forward that I will ever change from Columbia for my everyday waterproof hikers unless they change their very high standards.Well done Columbia & thank you Amazon for providing these trainers at a great price. Please note I am not an Amazon vine reviewer therefore the product(s) mentioned are purchased using my own hard earned cash.

I've been searching for a decent pair of walking shoes for what seems like an eternity! Having tried various brands to no avail and cheaper options that perished far too quickly, I decided that, "you get what you pay for" and purchased a more expensive option. As soon as I took them out of the box, I could see the build quality was very good. Trying them on for the first time, they fitted almost perfectly and felt incredibly comfortable, as if alread worn in! So far, so good. I have been walking to and from work (a mile each way) for just over a week now and they are very comfortable. I cannot speak for the waterproofing as yet, or their longevity (having had other brands that began to perish after only a few months, this is something I will be very interested in observing). I will come back to this review and update it once I have greater experience of their build quality. The only negative I have noticed (and as another reviewer commented), the laces do tend to come loose. Maybe I need to learn to tie them in a reef knot instead! At the moment, top marks, but we'll see how they do after a greater period of time and use and I will update this review accordingly.

Very comfortable and pretty lightweight shoes and of course waterproof (i did not try it in heavy rain yet, still just light rain). For my feet it does not feel tight in any part of shoes at all, it is comfortable wide for me. Shoe sole it quite low that is what i really like, i feel more stable without high shoe sole. I had Merrell Moab FST and i did not like it as shoe sole was high and heavier ,these Columbia shoes are way better. The only con is it gets warm inside so i think for summer or hot weather it would not be so comfortable but in autumn, winter and spring it is fine (UK) but note that i am kind of person who can handle colder temperature better than others so other people would not probable feel warmer with these shoes like me,except this little temperature thing i would give it 5 STARS. Design is pretty nice as well. That is initial experience, just 1 week old shoes. Great value for the price, i hope it last long as some people wrote in reviews !!!! My rating 4,5 STARS !!!!

I don't normally write reviews just a few weeks after buying something, I usually prefer to let things settle in and see how they work long term, however I felt compelled to write something as these are such great shoes.I'd been a long-time fan of North Face hedgehog shoes, but as my last pair of hedgehogs were dying I spotted these on offer on Prime Day, so thought I'd take a chance on these. Fit and comfort are superior to the North Face shoes. They are also lightweight without feeling flimsy and so far offer surprisingly good grip. No issues with waterproofing either, but without the usual sweaty feet you can sometimes get with cheap waterproofing in shoes.Time will tell whether these last, but all signs so far is that they will - I'll be sure to update this review if that proves to be incorrect.

I have had these walking shoes before and was very pleased with them with one exception that the tread got worn down in about 18 months of regular use. I switched back to my old favourites of Berghaus and their shoes had the same problem. I therefore came back to Columbia as I found them a comfortable fit straight from the box. There seems little wear after 5 months of almost daily use.Sadly after 8 months of regular use and the first significant rain in lockdown I find that both shoes have started to leak. Walking through grass in the rain my socks got wet on the sole line on the outside of both shoes just behind the toe box. I have had this before in one shoe but put it down to a bad bit of quality control as it had not happened with previous purchases. This makes me think again about this product.

I've had these since June, I bought them to wear whilst clay shooting during the summer months. Whilst clay shooting grounds aren't known for their rugged terrain they can be quite muddy and often soft underfoot. In addition to this I have also used them on trail walks of about 3-4 miles. During all of these activities these have performed excellently. They fit like gloves, are lightweight, offer great grip and I have had no problems with leaks. If there was a slight downside they look a bit bland for me but that would in no way prevent me from buying another pair. I am normally a size 8 uk, that's what I ordered and that's what fits.My family and I are going on a walking holiday next year and if these shoes keep going as they are I will be wearing them.

I ordered a 10 as I am usually a 9.5, but quite wide. It fitted fine, slightly large but that was expected, with slightly thicker socks for walking it was fine. For casual wear it is ok with normal socks. The first time I wore them I thought they were very hot, as in temperature. Indoors, they suffer a little but outdoors they are fine. Did the walk through soaking wet grass and all is good. They are quite low cut so no paddling in streams but as a walking shoe they are great, very supportive and you barely notice they are there which I think is a good sign.Very light, not the lightest but very lightweight. As for durability, well if there are any problems,I will be back but to date after 20-30 miles they show zero signs of wear.

These shoes are some of the most comfortable I have tried lately, mainly due to their front width, allowing the foot to expand naturally inside. The have good grip, nice looks and feel comfortable after numerous hours of walking/standing.If I had to pinpoint some flaw, it would be that the "tongue" of the shoe (the part under the laces and over your foot) is made of fabric and wrinkles when you strap the shoes. Another (very subjective) minor flaw is that the exterior leather seems a little bit "cheap", as if it is not real leather - but it is, according to the item description and its feel to the hand.Overall, a good value, especially for the comfort they offer.

As soon as I put them on I thought wow! these are seriously comfortable. I've been having problems with my knees whenever I went walking. These are the third pair of shoes I've bought to try and relieve this problem. The first pair by Hi Tek were useless but the second pair by Trespass helped enough for me to try a third pair. I've found these so good that I'm wearing them just about every day. They have kept my feet warm and dry even in some pretty heavy downpours and on the coldest days. My knees are much better but unfortunately I can't use them as an excuse not to get out and get more exercise but I am getting fitter and losing a bit of weight so happy days.

Bought a pair of peakfreak nomad plus several years ago and found them to the most comfortable shoes i had ever worn, and whilst the body of the shoe is still in one piece, the soles are slicks and the interior is partially worn away, so it was time for a replacement, these go by a different name but look identical but with the addition of waterproofing. Worn for the first time today and were exactly as expected, a good fit and comfortable over the daily 2 to 3 mile slightly uneven dog walking route, I found them slightly warmer than my previous pair due to the waterproof membrane. That said I give them full marks and would recommend them to anyone.

I bought these six weeks ago to replace a worn-out pair of Scarpa Moraine Gore-Tex approach shoes. To be honest, I don't think these are quite as good - but then they don't cost £160 either. My main concerns were that they should be waterproof, comfortable, sturdy and breathable. And in these respects they tick the boxes. Even walking in wet grass they have kept 99% of the moisture out compared to wearing a pair of standard trainers, for example. While I've worn them every day since I got them (esp. for dog walking), I can't comment on their long-term durability / water resistance. So I'll try to update this review down the line.

I bought these for a walking holiday and so far have been generally very impressed with them. They are very light on the feet, perhaps not offering quite as much ankle support as expected, but certainly very comfy to walk in.I'm usually a UK 9.5 so I ordered the size 10 as recommended. The fit is good on my left foot, but as my right foot is a little smaller it's less good on this one. Once laced up it's fine and doesn't slop around or anything, but there is a slightly annoying farting noise from the right shoe when I walk! But generally very pleased with their comfort, and would certainly buy again.

I bought these for my husband nearly two months ago now and he still loves them after approximately 250 miles use in the variety of spring weathers we've had this year. He says they are very comfortable, have good grip, continue look good and are still 100% waterproof, a quality that more expensive brands claim but don't fulfil. He has just given them a thorough clean and has waterproofed them for the fist time as a precaution. The only slight downside is they are very warm but, as he says, this will be another bonus in the winter. I wish they made this model in women's sizes.

31.12.2016

Had these for around a year now and they have performed well in terms of comfort and waterproofness. The inner of the shoe has worn slightly, but I think it can survive another couple of years with some water reproofing.Update: 11/12/17: I've had these for over 2 years now and they are still doing a spectacular job. It's getting a little worn out now, but I can stretch it through for another year.Update: 27/12/18: Still going strong. Bought another pair for comparison but will stick to the currents for a while as they are still practically waterproof.
