I had a tendon transferred in my foot 7 years back to replace a ruptured tendon and as such I suffer from over pronation of my ankle, where it rolls in.I've always worn Brooks running shoes but this is my first pair of Beast 20 running shoes. I don't actually do any running but for day to day comfort and walking about, these are super comfortable.They have a really thick supportive sole and the heel is held in place firmly. I went for the Beast as I read that are designed for heavy runners and last longer. They certainly cope with my 6'2" 14 stone frame.I can honestly say at the end of the day, my feet and ankles don't feel tired.

I ordered these for my grandson who has flat feet and just started a job stocking heavier items on a cement floor.The other shoes he had tried caused his feet to hurt and at times he needed to take ibuprofen for pain. We were concerned that he wouldn't be able to keep working at his job.After reading the reviews on Amazon from people with flat feet, I decided to order a pair of Brooks Beast for my grandson to help him cope with his foot pain. He went to work wearing the shoes for the first time and after about 4 hours he text me saying "My feet do not hurt, these shoes are great". He has worked several more times wearing the shoes and he is still pain free.

I have worn a different company shoe for many years as they were the best for my significant leg issues. but, they always squeezed my toes a bit causing discomfort and they didn,t last long (support wise). I felt it was a decent trade off for the relief in my legs. Besides, I could usually get them cheap. Now I have found the Beast to be just as supportive, if not better and there is more room in the toe box which is a great relief on my toes. I wear a 14w so finding shoes can be a challenge especially price wise. Hopefully the Beast by Brooks will last twice as long to justify the price.

I have been purchasing Brooks Beast since 2012 at 2 pair per year. I run 3 to 5 miles on 3-4 days per week. My original reason for the purchase was to mitigate bilateral plantar fasciitis which did help. Brooks changes their shoes every two years or so. 2018 was a terrible version and I seriously considered switching brands. However, I bought the 2020 version and couldn't be happier. My feet feel great after each run. I like them so much that I bought a second pair. Highly recommended. My only wish is that I wish the soles would last longer. These shoes aren't cheap.

I have been wearing Brooks Beast since 2008 when my Podiatrist recommended them for me for foot stability. I had planters fasciitis for a year and a half. My Podiatrist fit me with custom orthotics which fixed my problem. At that time cost $400 because he said that the material was practically indestructible. Here I am in 2021 still wearing the same orthotics and Brooks Beast. I won’t wear nothing else.

I am glad I asked about the width. Due to the answers I received I am glad I purchased the X-Wide. The shoes fir my husband perfectly. The only thing he said was that the heel part rubbed on his Achilles a little but could be resolve with the right sock. He has chronic pain from past injuries and he is able to be on his feet longer. Very satisfied. To everyone who responded, thank you all as well!

I have arthritis in one foot. The foot doctor diagnosed the condition 8 or so years ago. Due to me being 6'3" and over 200 lbs, he recommended the Beast as the only model built to correct or assist in my condition. I have owned various models of the Brooks Beast over the years, I like the changes in the 2020 model but it continues to adhere to being built for us big guys. Thanks.

Ordering this shoe via a third party in the UK saved about $60. BUT -- little did I know that to return it would cost more than the shoes were worth to ship them back to the UK. So - if you're order from a 3rd party, make sure you order the right size. I did not, and am now stuck with a brand new pair of great Brooks Beasts that I can't wear.

Note, just like all previous beast shoes- I wear a 9.5 in everything else, a 10.5 in brooks beast.I was worried that these would be trash because of the new foam soles, but they are great. Even better, they look good. My previous beasts all looked like orthopedic shoes. I’ve run a total of 40 miles in them, but am pleased so far

I'm a bigger bloke, got recommended these by another big bloke who, like me would wreck a pair of trainers in 3 months, these are pricey, but well made, at this point I've been out 3 times, running around 4 miles each time, there's no signs of wear yet..Which is good, they fit very well too..

I've been getting Brooks Beast since my marathon days back in 2004 and have always been happy with their fit, comfort and support. One year I thought I'd try another brand, Hoka, but was unhappy and immediately came back. If it's not broken, why fix it?

I was very concerned that I would hate the “enhancements” to the Beast ‘18, so was very surprised when I liked the Beast ‘20 shoe as soon as I put it on. It continues the comfort of the Beast ‘18 while adding some enhancements to reduce knee injuries.

A fantastic shoe in every way particularly comfort for longer runs. It is a bit clunky and heavier than some of my previous running shoes. As my first pair of Brook I think ever I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of this shoe.

Brooks mentions that it has changed its focus somewhat to address knee issues and not only ankles. These shoes do exactly that for me. i bought two pair. They are comfortable and gave almost immediate relief from severe knee pain.

My podiatrist recommended as they are well-padded in the heel. The newer models are not as flexible as the older ones. I use them for walking so that is not so much of a problem as it would be for a lightweight runner.
