I've had these shoes for less than 2 weeks and am now wondering what I did without them.I'm a 28 year old guy, and I've had foot pain for the last 2.5 years. Walking for just two miles would cause severe pain in my feet, and it was to the point that I was waking up in pain every morning. After speaking with my physio, I was told I severely overpronate, and that the Nike Free Runs (which I've been wearing for years) are literally the worst thing I could be wearing.I went to a shoe store, and was shown just how bad my pronation was before being given an array of shoes to try on. These were the first ones I put on my feet, and were by far my favorite... in all areas except look.

Only did one run in these, but i can immediately feel the difference. I didnt realize i over pronated till my coworker noticed how worn the inside heel area of my boots were compared to the outside of my heels.So i looked into it because i also noticed that after runs, it'd feel like someone hit my toes with a hammer at the joints. I never thought i was flat footed because i do have SOME arch, apparently not enough though. So after much reasearch, i landed on these shoes and couldnt be more impressed. Not only did my feet feel a lot better after running, they are just so much more comfortable to begin with.The only thing i was concerned about was the weight of the shoes,

Great shoes if you have normal sized arches with plantar fasciitis. No pain what so ever. These suede shoes are nowhere near as breathable as the others. It's recommended that you wear your shoes all day if you have plantar fasciitis. The non-breathability of these makes that difficult. I wind up changing my socks several times a day. Its a fair compromise because the other colors/materials are ugly in my opinion. I cannot recommend these enough if you have plantar fasciitis. One last thing, the first pair I ordered had some kind of defect in the left shoe. I tried to give them away to my brother after they felt funny on me. My brother said, "I don't want these because the left one is different." Anyway,

I have been a fan of the "Beast" for years, long before I new they had years appended to their name, back when they were just the Beast. I still love them. I don't love the price I pay now (and not a discount to be found unless you luck into a sale of an older version online or at a Brooks Outlet store). I bought my previous pair at an athletic shoe store. I fell for a previous year's model at a new year's price. So, now i order using an online shoe store. The fit is 'as expected,' though in the past I used to be able to get away with a 2E, I find I do better with a 4E. Great for those who are carrying a few extra pounds. Good motion control for walking and running. And still a great shoe.

Love them so far. They look great too. As with all running shoes though it takes time to get a true idea how good they will hold up and feel after multiple uses/miles. I can only say that for now after about 15 miles outside and indoors they have given me the boost and protection i was looking for. Very very comfortable. I tried a size 11 on in a store and was suprised how well it fit since im almost always a 10.5 but ultimately purchased the 10.5 figuring theyd get a bit looser and fit well with my normally thin socks. So far i do not regret that decision. They lace up nicely and my ankle and heel feel the right amount of snug.

Police officer in Florida, these shoes are AMAZING. I jog every morning and have had shin splints for the past 3 years, found out my feet roll inward when walking/running and my nike free runs offered very little support for what I have, AKA overpronation. I still have shin splints with these but it feels like they are either going away or just not hurting as much when I run. These are expensive but it is definitely worth it, I've had them for 3 months now and there is no sign of wear even after all my running and 3 week long advanced defensive tactics classes.

I've had these shoes for a week now. I run/walk 25-35 miles every week. I'm not your typical runner with me being 6'4" 240-250lbs. I've worn various versions of Asics the last 5 years. I decided to make a change. After a week I could not be happier with these shoes. I purchased an insole, but after wearing them I decided they did not need one. These are a little more expensive, but all in the price isn't much different without having to purchase an insole. If these shoes hold up good for 400+ miles Brooks will have a long term customer in me.

I have been wearing Brooks Beast for 6 years. I bought my first pair 6 months after I badly broke my left ankle in 2012 causing long term peripheral nerves damage. This is the only shoe which gives great support in every areas of the foot and ankle. Five ankle surgeries later, I am still wearing the Beast. I am now walking 3-5 miles per day, largely because of this outstanding product. Just received the latest model. It has exceeded all my performance expectations. I grabbed 2 pair of these during a lightning sale for $120.00. a pair. I have owned a few pairs of these sneakers over the last 5 years. I have to say these sneakers hold up better than Asics, and new balance. My only issue is the keep going up in price, also I wish the laces were longer. These are excellent for overpronation. Hopefully I can continue to grab these during lightning deals. Update 3/22/19. Looks like I'll be purchasing a different sneaker going forward. The price now is WAY outta control for these!

This is my fourth pair of Brooks Beast. In my opinion the "Beast" is the best shoe of its kind, and this new pair is no exception to that opinion. When it came time to buy a new pair I read online reviews, which suggested buying a half-size larger than normal. I did, and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable to wear, provide a stable platform for my feet, and are great for walking, jogging or working out at the gym. They look great too, particularly the Anthracite/Black/Silver combo that I bought.

Brooks is the best fitting running/walking shoe for me and has been for decades. I have a wide forefoot, high instep and narrow heel. If that describes your feet you should give Brooks a try. The build quality is on par with other major brands such as Adidas, Nike and New Balance.After getting old and putting on too much weight I decided to try these "Beasts" - I'll try to remember and update this review after I've put a few miles on them. Out of the box they fit and feel great.

Purchased a 9UK size, felt tight, returned with no problems and purchased next size up, 9.5UK, these feel better.I think the design at the toe end still feels tight but I'm hoping they will stretch after some use, only on the right foot, probably my foot being the issue.Haven't had a chance to run in them yet but after wearing them for an hour around the house, i can really feel the support and see them helping with my over-pronation.Would definitely recommend these.

I LOVE these shoes. Took me 3 tries to get the right size but totally worth it. For me they ran a little small. They are my daily wear... More comfortable than the Adrenaline GTS which I also purchased for running. I wasn't sure about spending that much on a pair of shoes but I have flat feet and wore out everything I own so it was time. I read that these are very good so I gave them a shot. I will not hesitate to buy Brooks again. They are light weight too.

Great shoes. Size 8.5 for me. Colors are nice. Fit and comfort is supreme. I have worn Adrenalines basically since their inception but I thought I'd give the Beast a try. Bought these for more support and cushion because I have to have arthroscopic knee surgery on my right knee and sort of putting it off at the moment. I have not run on them due to the knee issue, but walking on these has helped diminish knee pain. I will eventually get the surgery.

Bought it at the recommendation of my foot doctor and no longer had flat foot pain even after walking for miles and miles. (I think so because my injection of cortisone should have been worn off after 2 years. But of course I am also wearing clog at home). I have worn this pair of shoes to hike and to walk every day for exercising for 2 years now and they have not really shown any significant sign of wear or tear yet. Amazing!
