I use these for what you might call power walking. I am 71 and do 4 miles at dawn on forest roads every day, some of it on hills. I had been using a pair of relatively new New Balance sort of general shoes. I felt that I needed more support, as it seemed that my feet were "falling" even more than they do with age. There was nothing wrong with the NB shoes, but I just wondered if there were something better. I remembered that many years ago I had a pair of Brooks when I used to actually run, and they were very durable. I had forgotten all about Brooks. But I looked these up and decided to take a chance. They are very light. The size is perfect (for me, M12). The arch support is excellent. What surprised me was this thing they call "GuideRails." When I saw it in the description, I was like, "Yeah, whatever." But when you put these shoes on, you can actually feel your ankles being ever so slightly supported in a straight direction. One other thing that I will mention is that these shoes have a "footprint" (sorry) that looks like your foot. If you look at them from above, they do not have a rounded toe, relatively straight sides, and less rounded heel. They are contoured to your foot and go in a little bit at the arch, thus giving you support in that way, too. I seldom write reviews, but felt I should do this to thank Brooks and to save other buyers the pain of trying to figure all of this out. Just buy these!

I have been running in Brooks for the past 6 years, i used to run in shoes that looked trendy, totally disregarding what was actually right for my foot and gait.I used to get terrible shin pain (Medial Tibial Stress) so i had a gait analysis done at my local running shop, they recommended Brooks Adrenaline GTX.I've never looked back, brilliant shoes, i get about 300/350 running miles per year out of a pair. They support the inside of your foot near the arch area of your foot to reduce the inward role of your foot strike. Therefore for me reducing the stress that goes through my shins , Brooks have made them very light weight but very sturdy too,the perfect balance for me.I fully recommend these shoes.

1st and foremost a, I would advise anyone who is looking at these shoes to go to a running store and get fitted for a Brooks adrenaline. They run about a size larger, and are specialized for specific types of feet and running style. That being said, I use these to replace my adrenaline 19s which i got about a year ago. Personally, I'm a big fan of the guard rails and love the 5th. my 1st time running on them I did 3 miles with no problem, even cutting off 30 seconds per mile. Brooks has been a reliable brand for me, so I'll be sticking with them for a while. Plus, the price point can't be beat in any store

I'm a 60 year old male that has really been struglling to find a shoe that gives me the support I need. I've gone through many shoes in the past two years and this is by far the best shoe for me. I go on short runs and long walks. The runs are normally 2 miles and the walks are around 7 miles. I was having problems with a pounding feel in my feet on the runs and very sore feet, especially in my arches on the long walks. Immediately when I put these shoes on I felt the support. When I walk, it feels as if my feet are bing pushed forward and the support on the runs is great. I found my shoe!!

I had the GTS 18 and previous versions before and bought these in the same size as a direct replacement. The design of this version feels larger/boxier around the toe and I felt like my feet moved in them more.I've actually had to put insoles in these which has helped enough, as I'd gone for a run by the time I realised, but I'd recommend not ordering these online if you haven't tried them already, or at least be prepared to return them.*UPDATE* - As a commenter below noted, I've now also realised these have been mislabelled. What I received was not medium, but EXTRA WIDE.

So these arrived this morning, and I was initially concerned that the fit was wide (2E) rather than medium (D) like my current Brooks Adrenaline 19s which are wearing out. Luckily the 2E fit is even better than medium width, but if you are buying I would double check which width you will be getting. I have yet to run on the new ones, but wearing around the house they feel a good size.Added: I had first run of 7k in new shoes and the fit is good. Out of curiosity I held the old and new shoes sole to sole and the 2E sole was actually 2or 3 mm less than old D width shoe!

Literally just got them and only put approximately 6 miles on them but they're holding up and seem to be a God send. I am extremely Flat Footed, to the point where people stop and stare. This only got worse with a college football ankle injury on my right foot. However, these shoes do an excellent job keeping my foot in-align with rails comfortable helping prevent inward rolling of the foot. They are not as light as advertised but from planting to the lift, they are very good running shoes for a flat footed 6'2 inch 240lb male. I cannot yet speak on the durability.

When the COVID pandemic hit, I started to run more to help clear my mind and workout. I previously owned a pair of Nike Air Pegs, which I truly loved, but after about 2 weeks of regular running (which I had previously not done) I developed a seriously painful ankle injury. My doc suggested I switch to Brooks for my running shoes, so I ordered these and let me just say... I will be sticking with Brooks from now on. These shoes are incredible! I wear them for runs, walks, grocery trips, etc. My ankle injury has gone away and I'm totally in love with these kicks.

I never really know whether these reviews are genuine so I thought I would do one Item was delivered quickly, opted for 1st Class not premium or prime service and they came the next day! Ordered trainers half a size larger than normal shoes as advised by professional runners and fit perfectly with decent running socks. Ran about 40 miles in first week and so far, they are brilliant. No aches, pains and very comfortable and supportive. Had some GTS 18s and happy to say GTS 20s are the improvement Brooks claim and continue to lead the way.

I am wearing these shoes as I write this review. Just came back from one of my test runs and my feet are very happy, which hasn't been the case during the past 12 months while trying to find the right fit and feel. Friends have talked about Brooks as a running shoe that they have repeatedly bought and recommended highly. I am sorry I didn't listen earlier. I was looking for a low profile shoe that provides comfort, stability, and looks good. It appears that my feet and I agree that we have finally found a shoe that measures up...

I've been trying different shoes by other brands for running over hard surfaces but I kept getting severe shin splints along with slight knee pain in all of them. I thought that there was some issues with my running form or it was the hard surface and maybe I would need to give up running to avoid injuries but I decided to give one last shot and try Brooks' shoes and it has really helped reduce the pain. It offers a great and comfortable cushioning along with a good stability for neutral runners with slight pronation.

Bought these for my husband after I had him pick out his own shoes and they killed his feet. My husband works retail management so he is on his feet nonstop for 40+ hours a week and walks a minimum of three miles a day five days a week. My dad is a hs track (and formally cross country before he retired) coach and he recommended this brand of shoes for my husband. It took a few days to break them in and for the pain caused by the shoes my husband bought to go away, but now he says they are extremely comfortable.

Kind of freaky how well it works! I’ve had issues with shin splints for 4 years especially on my left leg (posterior shin splint) no matter how many shoes I buy, either with a massive cushiony feel or very lightweight springy feel. This one is right in the middle and it helps balance your ankles properly with the design, so someone like me who suffers from flat feet can feel 1000x better while running and can keep going without pain holding me back!I’m so happy with my purchase; these shoes rock!!!

I run about 15 miles a week with my lift schedule so I’m pretty familiar with Brooks. Love the Adrenaline because it supports my arches and helps me with my pronating. Shoes are my go to and love them. Only beef I had this past time was the color. I ordered the blue which on pic was more of a sky blue and got more of a purple blue. Not my color at all but I used them because they are running shoes and I really don’t give a sh$& what the color is. But wanted to make others aware that might care. ?
