Bourjois Metallic Edition Eyeshadow provides a good vibrant colour, but because of the liquid consistency care must be taken when applying. Though once dried the colour does last and will not move until you remove it with eye makeup remover. The actual eyeshadow went on smooth but with the actual shadow being a strong, vibrant gold/silver colour it means it will be very noticeable if you make a mistake. I was happy to see that if I noticed a mistake before the eyeshadow dried a quick dabbing/or simple wiping with a Q-tip this was soon sorted out.I like the actual applicator is attached to the lid which means I had good control and sometimes if I simply wanted a nice neat line of the gold/silvercolour I was able to draw a nice neat line up above my lash line or wherever I wanted to apply the actual product. It really was the case of "practice makes perfect".The most important rule of using the product is to allow the Bourjois Metallic Edition Eyeshadow to dry without blinking or opening your eye wide as you will have a nice imprint of your application just above your eye. This is a lovely eyeshadow which gives a strong vibrant look to your eye makeup. It really is up to you how much or little you apply, therefore creating a look which is suitable for all ages. This metallic look is very much in fashion and I do believe it is a look you can adapt for your own personal taste.A great eyeshadow which I am happy to recommend.

I was asked if I’d like to review Bourjois Metallic Edition Eyeshadow, 8 g, Gold by Bourjois, and as I’ve used their cosmetics before I said yes..I do have sensitive skin due to allergies, but so far, I’ve always been alright with this brand. It’s a liquid eye shadow that uses a brush applicator, (this is attached to the lid of the eye shadow).I found when applying that it goes on smoothly and evenly, to blend into my eyelid I use my finger, (just like when I’m applying a powered eye shadow). The shadow has a creamy texture and doesn’t dry your eyelid skin like some eye shadows I’ve used in the past. It’s a pale metallic gold, (which goes well with my blue eyes and fair skin), it’s great for a special occasion, going to a party and it’ll be great during the festive season. This is an great night colour, it’s not one I’d use during the day, (to me it’s too glamorous for day time, unless it’s Christmas Day or New Year’s Day).I only wear eye shadow for four to five hours at the most and that’s usually when I’m going out. Therefore, I can’t say if it last 24 hours like the company says.I found it didn’t smudge, it didn’t fade or come off, so I was pleased about that. There are two colours in the metallic range, besides gold there is silver.I’m really pleased with the results it gave me so I can recommend this eyeshadow.

This eyeshadow is supplied in an attractive transparent bottle with a screw off silver coloured lid. This is a liquid eyeshadow that dries to a powder and comes with a sponge applicator that is attached to the lid. This range of eyeshadows come in a good selection of fashionable shades and I received the colour Lala'Vande to review which is a lovely iridescent silver colour. The first thing I noticed when applying this eyeshadow was that it had a lovely smooth texture and went on extremely easily. After dabbing on a small amount and blending with the sponge applicator I could see that my eyelids wore a beautiful rich silver grey colour which was almost metallic and perfect for evening wear.Adding another layer of shadow made the colour deepen and look richer still, which would be great for club or party wear. I was also impressed with this eyeshadow's staying power … it lasted for hours without creasing or needing to reapply. Removal was easy using a gentle eye makeup remover and a cotton pad.All in all, this is a good quality middle range priced eyeshadow in a stunning colour which has good staying power.

I was a bit confused about the colour of this eyeshadow. The label says "Mauve your body" but it is nothing like mauve. It is a coppery brown so to describe it as mauve is very misleading. However, I really liked the colour. I have brown eyes and brown hair so I felt it suited my colouring very well. It has a sponge applicator which is necessary as the eyeshadow is liquid. However I found that the applicator made the shadow go on very thickly. I used the applicator to apply a small amount and then I rubbed it in with my finger. This gave me a soft silky sheen of colour across my eyelids which I found really attractive. I have reduced my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars because I found that it did not last as long as I would have liked. After a fairly short time, I found the shadow would form creases on my lids. Other reviewers have mentioned that you really need to leave sufficient time to let the shadow dry properly. Perhaps I did not allow enough time? Apart from this I liked it and would buy it again.

On receiving this, I wasn't entirely sure that I'd care for the colour in wear. I'm very pale skinned (I burn instead of tanning, and start cooking with even a small amount of sun) with blueish-pink undertones, so a yellowey-pink shade can look a bit like bruising. In reality, this is much nicer than anticipated. The bottle looks more like a nail varnish than an eyeshadow, though the applicator is a sponge pad rather than a brush. This can be worn thickly applied, so that the rose gold colour is strong and dominant, or thinly as a pale, shimmery highlight. With my colouring, I preferred this as a highlight. Either way it spreads easily. Applied with the supplied applicator alone,I found that this took a bit of time to dry. On me, this was much nicer when blended across the socket area to give a general, subtle shimmery effect. Spreading this was really easy, using just a finger - and worked both to eliminate brush lines in thicker, more targeted applications, and to give a nice, even, all over sheen.

I'm really impressed with these cream eyeshadows from Bourjois they are great as a single layer gently blended on its own as they catch the light but only at certain angles giving a subtle sparkle to your day look without looking like a glitter ball, or for a more striking look it's great as a primer layer to apply and intensify the eyeshadows over the top as it's extremely long lasting and adds a shimmer to the look.Your skintone will determine how visible this is, mine is a pinky flesh tone because I'm super fair and I've found this works beautifully as a neutral day look, just swiped on in the cats eye shape blended out at the edges with a dark brown gel liner and mascara but also lendsitself to a twist on a fresh but made up look with a soft brown or taupe depending on your undertone in the cut crease showing it can multitaskOverall, I would buy shadows in this range again as they last all day without budging and look good and are layerable to het more intense or a bloom of colour.

Bourjois Satin Edition Eyeshadow provides a lovely shimmer finish, which is also very easy to apply. With the actual applicator being attached to the lid means I have good control of the actual eyeshadow. I did like how it was easy to blend using a clean finger, this is especially useful when I only wanted a very light shimmer. This is a colour and eyeshadow which will last all night if allowed to dry properly, perfect eyeshadow available in various colours for a night out in the town!I love how it goes on liquid but dries into a lovely powdery finish, though I would recommend you use a good eye makeup remover to cleanse it off properly. This is not an eyeshadow which will go on lightly but it is one which you can apply as much or as little as you like,it is really up to you how vibrant you want the colour.Bourjois Satin Edition Eyeshadow is a product which will last all day and night and with the great colour it provides makes it one I am happy to recommend as a great eye cosmetic.

Bourjois Satin Edition Eyeshadow - No. 5, Lala'VandeThis is a gorgeous paint-on eyeshadow that produces a satin effect, halfway between matte and gloss. This Lala'Vande colour is a medium gunmetal grey, and produces a really striking effect. It goes on smoothly and a thin layer dries quite quickly, so blending must be done right away. If you make a mistake and the eyeshadow dries, it can be removed with dampened cotton bud. Otherwise, it stays in place well till removed, though I wouldn't agree with the claim that it stays on for 24 hours (and I wouldn't want it to!).I've used it both to create a dramatic look with concentrated colour painted on with the brush then blended in with my fingers; and also a lighter look, dabbed on across the lid then blended in with my fingers to create a sheen. It comes in a cute little bottle that's the same size and shape as lip stain bottles. For sale at the time of writing this review at £6.99.

I love the Oh de roses shade of this satin edition eyeshadow, which is a really neutral shade on my eyelids, blending well with my natural skin tone, but with a really lovely sheen and shimmer, which catches the light, but which is more subtle out of the light - it's not glittery, but it is striking when it gleams. This applies to your eyelid wet and you can use the applicator to glide it on and it does apply really easily. You might want to blend it afterwards and it doesn't dry instantly, so you have time to do that. I found that it does need a little time to dry and once I had the coverage I wanted, either on its own or blended with another product,I needed to then stop and close my eyes and allow it to dry - or it would feel tacky for quite a long time and whilst it is tacky, it can become uneven. All in all - I love the colour and effect, but it loses a star for the ease of getting an even finish

My wife loves both the colour and texture of this new eyeshadow from Bourjois and is using the shade they call Oh De Roses! She has found that this eyeshadow is easy to apply and blend, it stays quite smooth and she has not had any problems with it creasing when wearing. There are currently six shades in this Satin Edition eye shadow range on the same Amazon product page with each shade containing attractive iridescent infusing pigments; each shade is the same price of around seven pounds. Bourjois is a French cosmetics company, with a Parisian theatre heritage, and has over 150 years of make-up expertise – it is now part of the American Coty group. This Bourjois eyeshadow is a good product from a large range of related items currently available from Amazon and Bourjois is a brand well worth checking out further. Recommended by my wife.

Bourjois seem to be very fond of punning names,in French or English; my shade is Sur'prunez Moi in French,as it is a kind of prune colour and it means"Surprise me",and in English it's called "Mauve your Body". It's not exactly mauve, more of a pleasant copper colour, but I like it very much indeed. It's a liquid with an applicator in the lid, just like a lip gloss.I was a bit worried that "satin" may be a bit shimmery for me as I'm in my 60's,but there is just a soft subtle glow, not too full-on.It's billed as "24h" shadow but I can't stay up that long,it lasted all day then came off with my usual makeup remover.I like the way you can have a light wash of colour or build it up for a strongerlook. The price is very reasonable and it's a good product; I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a liquid eyeshadow with a silvery tint - nice to apply on the lid for strong colour for evening, or to use more subtly as a shimmery highlighter closer to the browbone. It stays on well and lasts all day without going into creases, and dries almost to a powder finish, though it retains its irridescence. I also thought it dried to a slightly darker shade - more like silver-grey than true silver. The only slight drawback for me was that it does take a little time to dry, so you can't go straight to eyeliner and mascara without waiting a few minutes. Still, that's only a small inconvenience. I had no problems with skin irritation, either, which can sometimes be the case with glittery or irridescent products

22.4.2018

This is a very lovely colour - a sort of shimmery grey-page with almost a hint of gold in it when you apply it. I have blonde hair and blue eyes and it suited me; other reviewers say it suited their brown eyes and brown hair, so it seems to be fairly universal. It felt like a cream when I put it on with none of the drying features that powder can have. However, I did struggle to get it on evenly - the applicator delivered a lot of cream on my eyelid and it was then tricky to spread it out evenly - eventually I used my fingers and some cotton wool. So I don't particularly like the applicator (I don't have time in the mornings to fuss with things) but I do like the product and the colour.

This is a new one on me, a liquid eyeshadow that dries to a metallic shimmery sheen. It is really lovely to apply and with some quick moves you can get it where you want it to be before it dries. It is very sheer and dries so well on the skin and doesn't move around or crease like some cream eyeshadows. This colour is a light taupe/brown/bronze shade and it looks so pretty and subtle and you can layer it up. I can't see it moving around the skin or wearing off that easily. I was able to remove it with my normal eye makeup remover.I like the applicator like a lip gloss and there seems to be plenty of liquid in the bottle. I would like to try some more of these eyeshadows.

20.4.2018

This is a new type of eyeshadow which is very much like a lip gloss. It goes on easily and gives a good level of colour to your lids. It was not glittery and shiny but as the product title suggest- is satin and rich in colour. I preferred to use a brush after it was dry to blend it a little more into the socket line, but I am sure younger people would like the way that you can have such a richly pigmented line, and it would be ideal for modern eye techniques such as cut creasing too. I was able to also use this as a kind of thicker eye liner too- but overall I liked the feel, look of the eyeshadow, and would be interested to look at the other shades within the range.
