I have owned this jacket for several months now, so it has been quite well tried and tested (more so before summer kicked in). I am usually size 12-14 so ordered the size 14. I am quite pear shaped so the jacket is pretty snug around the stomach and hips but perfect around the top (probably a little too snug now thanks to lockdown munching, but certainly not a fault of the jacket). I would suggest to anyone very pear shaped to maybe get the next size up as it is a fitted jacket and is designed for a more evenly proportioned physique I feel. Beautiful colour and I love the shape as it is longer at the back so hides a let's just say, seen better days bum.I find the jacket very toasty and it kept me warm through a week in the Brecon Beacons, and before the extra lockdown pounds there was ample room for an added cardie/jumper underneath if needed. The sleeves are a good length so can cover your hands if necessary to keep them warm. Decent hood that comes over enough to cover your forehead which has a drawstring to tighten it and keep the elements at Bay. There is no internal pocket in this jacket but the 2 external pockets are a fair size, are lined with a lovely soft material and have zips. The bottom of the jacket has a drawstring so is adjustable. Unfortunately I cannot contest to how well the water resistant fibres work as I have not been caught out in substantial enough rain to know. The sparse little bit of rain that has fallen on the jacket however would indicate that externally it is not the most water resistant as the water seems to absorb pretty instantly. I will test during the next shower and update accordingly. If you are looking for waterproof, this is not the one. I believe you can buy a waterproofing agent to add to a wash cycle which I will attempt after testing. It is not quite as lightweight as a down jacket, however I will take the minimal extra weight over feathers any day of the week. Overall, very happy with this jacket.

Berghaus Nula jacket is lightweight coat, zips have togs on them ( as pictured ) hood is adjustable with each side have a holder / clip so once tightening you just slip it into place so it won’t slide out & a flap over at neck so you don’t get nipped on the chin with the zip. Berghaus jacket keeps the wind out ( again see picture for chin section) cuffs have slight elastic in them, both pockets have fleece in them at one side, bottom of the jacket has draw strings so your able to pull it tighter and loosen it. Clear washing instructions & drying instructions on label, The Berghaus Jacket is not 100% waterproof maybe from a little bit of rain but certainly not heavy rain, (but won’t take long to dry if you are in heavy rain ) Jacket certainly does keep the wind off you & your body heat in & have the reflective 2 rectangles ( red & blue logo design ) on the front along with the name, on the hood their is the logo & the word hydroloft on the other sleeve & I normally wear a 10 but the 12 gives you a bit of room to mover so are small made I’d definitely recommend this Berghaus Jacket

Thrilled with this! I was so nervous about purchasing without actual measurements as this is shipped from abroad. It took only 2 days to arrive though! For those wanting actual measurements, I’m narrow but busty with a lockdown tum at present. I purchased a Sz 14 and the armpit to armpit measurement across front is 21 inches, the length down the back is 28 inches and inner sleeve length is 22.5 inches. It is snug over my jumper across tum and chest when fully zipped up, but it is such a flattering cut. The navy is a true navy and not dark. With the lining also being blue, the overall effect is classier than other alternatives that have clashing coloured interiors. It says water resistant on labels & I trust more than others who have left reviews, that it will be. The lack of feathers is a plus, I’m tired of them poking out of my Canada Goose (Sz M). Hope this helps :)

Ordered this for my wife, she absolutely loves it and has worn it pretty much every day. Here's what she had to say.....You can get coats like this everywhere in the shops at the minute, right? Wrong!!!There is a reason why Berghaus are more expensive than the padded jackets you can get everywhere else, it's because they are really, really good! It's so thin and light you think there is no way it will keep you warm enough, but it will. It keeps you lovely and warm without being bulky, is a great, flattering fit, nice deep pockets with fleecy lining, hood to keep your ears warm or to keep the rain off.Size-wise I have a 12, I am a 10 usually but this is perfect as you can wear layers or a chunky jumper underneath without feeling squashed in.Really can't fault it!

This is lightweight but surprisingly warm and cosy - it's soft and puffy, like a light sleeping bag you can wear. It promises to retain its heat even in wet weather and whilst I haven't put that truly to the test yet, it's stood up well in cold and windy weather. The pockets are half-lined with fleece, as is the bit where the zip fully closes (so it doesn't scratch your chin). The hood is great (and has an adjustable cord). I usually wear a Patagonia coat that's similar to this but costs twice the price: I have to say that this is as warm if not warmer and looks pretty similar. The tech might not be there if you're halfway up a crag face, but for general walking/hiking/outdoor activities then this Berghaus coat will more than live up to the task.

This is a very nice jacket: the dusk colour is a lovely shade; the shaping is perfect and quite flattering given the generally unflattering style of most jackets of the kind; the sizing is accurate, the hood big enough to protect but not so full it limits vision, and the well placed drawstrings at hips and hood work well. The pockets are roomy too, for gloves or just to keep one's hands warm. Insulation is excellent, too, just what you need from this kind of jacket. It is also far less bulky than its level of insulation would suggest. As far as waterproofing, my wife has not been able to try it in the rain so will need to update when that has happened, but as far as warmth is concerned, this is a terrific, attractive jacket.Recommended.

This is a really nice, warm jacket that I highly recommend. It is lightweight, but still has good padding and is well insulated so it keeps you warm in the cold wind. The navy colour is really nice, it looks smart and doesn't stand out too much. It is shower-proof but not rain-proof so don't expect to use it in heavy rainfall unless you have another layer on top, but it is perfect as a mid-layer. The fit is nice, although I would recommend you size up - I am usually a 10, but the 12 fits better. I wouldn't use it for anything too strenuous like skiing or long-days hillwalking, but for casual wear it is perfect.

This Berghous jacket is perfect for those days outside when you want to have extra protection for the occasional shower, wind and sudden chill. It is super lightweight, yet cosy and great for layering over jumpers etc. It is smart-looking which makes is a great all-rounder for a variety of occasions and outfits, with a lovely feminine silhouette. It features a useful hood and pockets too. Folds up small too, so great for taking in a rucksack for hiking days. Overall, it is a reliable high-quality product by a well-known brand that delivers on practicality and style.

This jacket is so thin and light I genuinely don't understand how it can be so lovely and warm?!I feel like if I vacuum packed it, i could fit it in my handbag!Sizing wise, the 12 is a little on the snug side across my hips so I could do with the extra size up really (or to perhaps eat fewer biscuits!) but apart from that it's lovely. It's selling for £150 in my local outdoors shop which is quite honestly, in my opinion, too expensive, but at £100-£120 on amazon it's far superior to £80+ coats I have tried on in fashion retail chains!

This is the very lightest jacket you can imagine. The only thing lighter would be the emperor’s new clothes! At first it feels rather insubstantial but it is quite puffy and it traps the air and keeps you warm a treat. Not had a chance to test out how waterproof it is yet. It was ok in a light shower. It fits a bit small. You won’t need lots of layers underneath it though so I guess that would even itself out. It packs up very small and light and is ideal for travel. A bit pricey I suppose but similar to the competition.

For such a tiny jacket, the berghaus Women's Nula Micro Synthetic Insulated Jacket is incredibly warm. Beautifully finished, this stylish jacket offers supreme thermal insulation in a well fitted, perfectly sized outer jacket. It is so very light to wear, and the breathable lining ensures you will stay warm but not sweaty. Am loving the fitted waist which is very flattering. Understated design, combined with supreme performance makes this a no-brainer choice as a tech jacket. Accurate sizing too!

16.1.2020

This is a lovely simple and lightweight jacket which is a lot warmer than you expect for the thickness and weight. It is a little fitted and the sizing I felt on the generous side which I prefer as allows for wearing thicker jumpers underneath as needs. Design wise it isn’t earth shattering but it is functional and useful for both sport in significant cold or park walks / running to shops .

This is a lovely lightweight jacket but keeps you toasty warm in the cold. It would probably keep you dry in light rain but might struggle in a deluge but I haven't had it on when it has been pouring, only on walks along the North East coast when the wind has been whipping in and this was the ideal coat to be wearing. It does feel quite fitted but still very comfortable. Recommended.

Very nice. My partner says it feels very light and warm, doesn't constrict movement of the arms or upper body, accentuates a nice bodily shape when on which I can concur with and the depth and shape of the hood is really good so when the draw strings are pulled it forms a nice barrier around the head and face without constricting ones view. Very well made and with nice deep pockets.

I love this jacket. You would never believe how warm they are until you wear one. Great for under another coat of the temperatures are below freezing as well as they aren't bulky. I got soaking wet in the rain and it dried very quickly on the radiator. It's fitted so looks nice and feminine. And brilliant quality. I want another colour now!
