Was checking out another model by North Face at REI in person that had a great fit... and a price tag to match at almost three hundred dollars so I looked around Amazon for a similar light wind breaker type shell but under a hundred. REI in NYC is rather pricey so I found this on Amazon and it does everything I need in a light Spring jacket. The jacket is a little "boxy" and not a slim sport fit that tapers down at the waist. This does have drawstrings at the bottom of the jacket to tighten to fit you, which helps. As other reviewers have commented, the choice to put an additional velcro cover over the zipper is either a good or bad decision, I tend to like it as once the jacket is on it keeps out the wind or rain.

I bought this to replace two rain jackets I owned by other popular brand manufacturers because neither of them would keep me dry. Both would become saturated and soak through to my clothes which is not what you want in a rain jacket. I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it is new and time may change my opinion but so far it has performed very well. I did a lot of research before purchasing and this seemed to be the best overall value. It is well made and cost much less than some other brands. The size was also as expected. I am 6'4", 230 lbs and got the XL size and I am very pleased with the fit.

Jacket for general outdoor wear. It's very lightweight and very water repellent. The rain literally beads off! I would suggest wearing base layers underneath in colder weather as it's not got any thermal qualities.The hood is large and covers all of my head and is a bit fiddly to adjust with the pull cords so as to get it fit correctly. I ended up having to raise the front of the hood with my hand as it was partially covering my eyes. A bit of a faff when looking out for obstacles and traffic when walking.10/10 for water resistance and comfort.Just that issue with the hood but it did keep me dry.

I purchased this jacket when it was on offer and got it at a great price. I personally wouldn't pay the RRP for for this jacket even though it is still priced well in comparison to competitors such as Musto.It is not fitted / tailored in any way but offers great protection from wind and rain so can be used all year round. It does not provide much warmth so bear in mind when selecting your size that you may need to layer up underneath the jacket. I think the jacket could benefit from a chest pocket inside the jacket as it would be helpful for your phone / quicker access.

I am a size small and ordered a size small. My frame is 5"6 and 60kg, and the jacket fitted me perfectly! It is nice and big and can easily fit clothing underneath, such as a warm sweater or two.I got this for a trip to Iceland and I am very confident that this jacket will not only protect me against rain but also against the wind. I already had a chance to try it out in Denmark, where the weather is cooler and wetter, and it held up very well!On the plus side, my girlfriend says it makes me look hot - buying another asap! :D

PROS:This is a classic windbreaker in a versatile colour and made of a light but un-flimsy material that can be worn whole year round.The loose fit means that additional layers will still fit comfortably during the colder months.Loose fit fits well on those with broad shoulders. Stick to your usual size.CONS:Slightly pricey compared to other NF jackets within the average price range of 40-70 gbp.Loose fit will overwhelm those with narrow shoulders and a slight frame who might want to opt for a size smaller.

love my waterproof jacket. Just got it today and decided to give it a test run. It is a super rainy day today in the Pacific Northwest and decided to take the dogs for a long walk. They got super wet, but not me. I was dry as could be. it is nice and lightweight, but I purchased an extra large size so that I can wear a what underneath as needed and it fits perfectly. I love the hood because it really covers my head and neck very well. The jacket is self is very well made and I would highly recommend his jacket.

I purchased this jacket for my son who is 17. He's over 6"2... And quite built. He normally goes for an extra large in clothes, so I decided to go for the xL jacket, he probably could have had the large, and that would have fitted fine too. The jacket dose exactly what it says on the packet, and more! Even though it's December the jacket is keeping him warm. Also he can wear a jumper underneath... It's smart, practical, and excellent quility. I'm so glad I went for this jacket it really is super quility!!!

I'm a guy 5'5' who is on the shorter scale but built in the chest. My arms are short so I have a hard time finding the perfect fit jacket. Many times the sleeves are too long, or the chest is too tight. After a lot of trying clothes on, I discovered that the North Face jacket fit the best. Not perfect, but a lot better than the competition. It's breathable so it's perfect for going hiking in, and if you layer it with fleece is dry and warm. Get this jacket, it looks great and is comfortable to wear.

This isn't a parka, there is no insulation - it is an expensive cagoule/anarak. It's great in all seasons apart from winter when you will need to wear several layers under it so if you are buying it as part of a multi layer system, make sure you buy the right size. It would be great if it pack a mac ed up into a small bag, it doesn't come with one but I have found that it stuffs down pretty small. It's expensive but the quality is there and it's more breathable than the Peter Storm £20 jobs.

Hi, Purchased this jacket as a birthday gift for one of my sons, now I shall have to buy another one for my other son. They loved the Jacket. Its a great jacket for the outdoors and also handy to have with you if you are out and about, City life people, who like to have a decent waterproof jacket to pop on for when it rains! The sizing is very generous as I bought the small size by mistake, and they are both medium normally, and the jacket fit them perfect..Very Very pleased with the jacket.

Struggling between 4 and 5 stars, but settled on the 5. It's light weight, it keeps the rain and wind off, fits well and looks good....so why was I considering 4 stars?Well it has one or two niggles. The zip is on the wrong side. That sound stupid by all my other jackets (including a NorthFace Parka) all have the zip on the correct side. It also just does not fell quite as good as the Berghaus RG1 it replaced. Apart from that it has done everything I have asked of it, so it gets the 5.

Very pleased with Resolve jacket, arrived sealed in manufacturers plastic bag and of course had tags attached. I ordered a medium size and fitted me well, I am 6 foot tall and struggle with arms not being long enough, with this jacket the arms are just right, the jacket has two zip mesh pockets and the jacket is also mesh lined. before buying I looked up the washing instructions on the North Face site and they state it can be machine washed but recommend liquid detergent.

It fits just a little big, but that's probably so you can wear a shell jacket underneath it for warmth. It does a great job of repelling rain, and I can shake it almost completely dry. My only real complaint keeping me from giving five starts is that the hood is too big. It naturally comes down over my eyes, meaning I'm constantly pushing the hood back when walking in the rain. If I pull it forward it comes all the way down to my mouth. That's too big.

This jacket is awesome.I really can't find anything wrong with it.It fits my body very well especially the hood.The perfect jacket for a cold rainy day, but I would were a sweater under it in winter as its a little on the thin side.I kind of understand now why every other jacket you see on the street is a North Face... Not only do they look good, they are extremely high quality.
